Kane Kaster
Herxx ballet shoes laced tightly around her size 7 feet, Kane rose from the ground and tilted her head. She surveyyed the stage in front of her. It was small but would have to work. Clad in tights and a loose-fitting t-shirt, she made her way onto the stage and started. With no one in the audience, she felt free enough to try a few new tricks. Moving swiftly and lewdly across the stage on her toes, she paused to plie then move into bourrees. She rose on her left foot, right foot extended out. She jumped briefly, landing with her feet one in front of the other, her left heel touching the middle of her right foot. Her jaw clenched and she rose on her toes again, staying in the position momentarily before giving a small jump. Her foot landed awkwardly and she tumbled to the ground, grunting. Her red hair falling in her face, Kane yelled angrily. "Why can't I get this right?" she snapped, pushing her hair out of her face and standing to try it again.

Do not tense up or stress over mistakes; if you mess up just continue as if nothing happened or try that part repeatedly until you get it right. Part or move; whatever it is." A voice came from the second row as a brunette with a knitted blue hat-beanie sat in one of the nicely cushioned chairs. Said brunette was busy playing on her Nintendo DS, but the volume was off. Shay had been there for only a couple minutes, but long enough to witness Kane before she took her tumble and shouted at the silence. Shay knew Kane's brother was in the opposing gang, but it didn't seem like any of it mattered now with this whole partner deal and Shay never really gave a flying f*ck about the gang thing to begin with. She only got dragged into the cobras because she couldn't say no to the person that wanted her to join. The small pen like thing lightly and gently tapped the screen of the DS while dark brown eyes stayed fixated on it. The only reason Kane hadn't notice Shay was because Shay had been slumped down far enough in the chair to not be seen until now when she was sitting properly. She waited for the girl on the stage to start going off on her for being there, talking, and/or giving her advice that she "didn't need."

Kane Kaster
Kanexx hadn't at all noticed the other form in the room. The voice out of nowhere startled the redhead, making her footing slip a bit as she moved. Stopping in mid-stride, she looked to the audience and saw the faint glow of an electronic from the second row. She recognized a face she'd seen around school once or twice before, but she didn't remember the girl's name. While Kane would usually snap and yell at someone for telling her what to do, even if it was just friendly advice, this girl said it so simply and matter-of-factly that it took Kane by shock. Worth trying, anyways. Plie, bourree, left foot, rise. Jump, land, toes. Jump. While she landed the jump this time, her body landed rigidly and tensely. No, she needed to relax. Plie, bourree, left foot, rise. Jump, land, toes. Jump. Again, a better landing, but still not perfect. There was no way she could get to competition with that kind of landing. But she'd relaxed as much as she was going to, especially in front of the large audience that the compeition would have. Looking out to the girl, she called, not unkindly, "Any more helpful tips?"

She didn't fall which caused Shay to smile knowing the girl had taken her advice. When all the movement stopped she looked up at Kane before she tilted her head back to think. "Well...there is the whole crowed thing. I wouldn't suggest the underwear one, but try to imagine you are by yourself with no one else around. You won't feel as nervous, I'm sure, and you'll be able to relax more; keep in mind how much space you actually have to move around though. Focus, but don't push yourself too much; if you exhaust yourself it's never a good sign. Don't be hard on yourself: complement yourself on what you tried to do and not always on what you did well. And, above all, if you love to dance channel that love into your performance; it gives it more passion, more meaning," Shay said as she held up her fist to fake whatever passion she could muster into her voice. "Oh, and smile." she added as she pointed at the redhead on stage before her eyes returned to the small screen she held in her hands. "I'm sure you can pick up other things as you go along."

Kane Kaster
Kanexx had wiped off her brow and moved to the front of the stage, sitting herself down and letting her legs drape over the edge. She listened in silence as the girl spoke again, watching her lips move in the glow of the light from the electronic in her hands. The crowd and being rigid were her biggest problems. Her eyes narrowed slightly as she listened, a curious look on her face. Once she finished, Kane's pale lips were twisted oddly into a smirk. She never thought she could get such helpful advice from a high schooler. She didn't even get such good advice from her own coach. The holding up of her first made the redhead smirk even more. Smiling wasn't exactly Kane's forte, but a near-forced smirk-grimace was. She jumped down from the stage, landing gracefully if not for a slight quiver. Brushing her locks from her face, she started over, putting her knees in the chair the row before the girl's, looking over the seat to the screen. "What are you playing?" she asked, then paused and tacked on another question, "And where did you learn to give ballerinas advice?"

Mattias Whyle"What's so good about picking up the pieces?"Waltzing towards the auditorium - after asking around and making sure his partner was here - Mattias' hazel eyes were focused on the screen of his phone. He was in the middle of a raging game of solitaire. God it was pathetic how he had to resort to that to keep himself occupied. He needed to get laid. A week is way too long without it. He finished the game - of course he won, Mattias always wins - and pocketed his phone as he reached his destination. Starting down the aisle his eyes focused on the redhead on the stage, following her movements for a second as she hopped off. Nope, that wasn't her. His partner was a brunette. So where was she? Eyes scanning over the seats, his eyes focused on a small glowing square. Bingo! And that's where red head was going, so he wasn't just seeing things. Quietly he walked down the aisle, holding a finger to his lips as he slipped into the row beside the red head. Stopping beside her he peered over the brunette's shoulder to see what she was doing, a smirk crawling across his face when he saw that she was playing a game. A hand came up and around her and he grabbed the DS, turning around with it. "So what are we playing?" He asked, hazel eyes focused on the screen. When a car crashed into a wall and the words "GAME OVER" flashed across the screen in bold lettering, he blinked a few times. "You lost." He shrugged a bit, closing the DS - sending it into stand by mode - and tucked it in his pocket before folding his arms on the seat in front of him, head turning to look at the brunette. "You must be the lovely Miss Shay. I'm Mattias, your partner." He shot her an award winning smirk, eyes flicking back to the red head for a moment. "And who would this lovely face be?" He asked, shooting her a smirk too. Not just one pretty face, but two? Lucky day for him!

"Guitar lessons. My grandfather had me take them in a big group to save money and our instructor taught is everything, but how to practice. He told us that there were many ways, but the ones we came up with were the most obvious, the easiest, and could be used for almost anything. I practice, found a method that words, and stuck with i--hey!" Shay snapped as a hand took her DS from her hands. Her head tilted back to rest on the back of the seat as she glared up at the boy, but the back of her head landed on his arms. He was cute, but she was too upset to give a rats *ss. "I was playing Mario Kart until someone took my DS from me and made me lose. Give it back," Shay ordered, but she didn't use a harsh tone like most would. "If you want to practice in peace I'll drag him out of here." Shay said as she lifted her head and looked at Kane with an apologetic smile. Their conversation was ruined, but if Kane was back here tomorrow morning Shay was sure to turn up again. She redhead needed time to rest then practice or go find her partner that she was paired with for this stupid project. Shay looked back at Mattias and narrowed her eyes at him.

Kane Kaster
Kanexx watched a brunette boy come up behind the girl as she spoke, but she didn't pay much attention. She was too engrossed in what she was saying- however, the interruption made her scowl slightly. Jeez, what a douchebag. Rolling her eyes, the redhead removed her arms from the seat in front of her mysterious advice-giver and crossed them over her ches. Wait, so her name was Shay? Interesting. What the dark-haired male turned to Kane, however, she scoffed, "Nothing you could handle." While her words sounded like a challenge, her bright eyes said otherwise. Turning to Shay as she spoke again, the redhead gave a simple shrug. "Nah, whatever. I'll leave you guys to it," she muttered, seemingly disappointed to have been interrupted this. And this is why I don't have friends, she thought venomously, jumping back onto the stage to retrieve her backpack.

Mattias Whyle"What's so good about picking up the pieces?" Someone was none too pleased that he took her game. Oh well, she would get over it. If he gave it back then she would go ignoring him, and he didn't want that. He wanted to get to know this pretty face he was with. Maybe he would get some fun out of her. Not that having fun was his ultimate goal in everything - like certain other people - but it was wonderful when it happened. He wasn't addicted to sex, but it was greatly appreciated! His hazel orbs flicked down to her as her head leaned back on his arms, and he just smirked at her, shaking his head. "Nah. I don't think I will." He replied, an amused look on his face. Besides, she wasn't exactly being mean about asking, so no way was she getting it. If she got angry then maybe, but probably not. A good smack was nice every now and then. Definitely gave him a wake up call! Oh, so red head was nothing he could handle? He snickered. "Oh, is that so?" He purred, head cocking to the side. His eyes followed her as she walked away, and he shrugged his shoulders. Turning his attention back to the brunette, he chuckled at her narrowed eyes. "Don't go giving me that look beautiful." He said, climbing over the seats so he was seated beside her, an arm thrown over the back of her seat. "So, you're a gamer girl." He stated, patting the DS in his pocket. "I'm not half bad myself at most games." He said, shooting her a challenging smirk. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad. He could get an awful lot if they made bets with each other. It was going to be an excellent year!

"I'll give you this look all I want; stop calling me that." Shay spat at the boy in a somewhat bitter tone. She didn't mind nicknames, but "beautiful" wasn't one she was going to grow accustom to; the girl was a bit too modest to accept it. Eyebrows rose at the challenging smirk Mattias wore. "I am," she stated slowly, almost a bit cautious. "How about we make a deal? We play one game and whoever wins get's the DS: if you win you get it until the last day of this damned project the give it back to me undamaged that day and if I win you give it back, deal?" she offered. Either way Shay got the DS back, but even if he didn't give it to her or agree to those terms she was rather good at stealing. Mattias was probably smart enough to know not to use the DS in this case because Shay wasn't beyond running off with it as soon as he gave it to her. They could easily play a game at either of their houses if Mattias had a game system, but he was on the upper side.

Mattias Whyle"What's so good about picking up the pieces?"Stop calling her that? Oh, so she didn't like being called beautiful. Well wasn't that just too bad for her, because now he was going to keep calling her that just to irritate her. Maybe she would smack him. After all, she was growing rather irritated now, she was even using a bitter tone! "But I like the reaction it gets out of you." He shot back, grinning at her. Most girls got hot when they were angry, and he ha a feeling she was going to be one of those. So this should be fun. Whoever wins gets the DS, he could live with that. And he would get to keep it all year. That should be amusing. A smirk curling his lips, he nodded his head. "You have a deal, beautiful." He replied, purring his official nickname for her. "Today, after school, we go to my place. I'll even let you pick the game. But I'm keeping the DS for now." His hazel orbs sparkled. If he gave it back to her now she would probably run away with it. Then he would be out of a partner for the day, and his date for after would be ruined. So it was staying tucked nice and cozy in his pocket. He wouldn't hurt it, oh no. Even though that would no doubt make her furious - therefore making her hotter and probably smack him - he wasn't about to do that on the first day. He had a feeling he irritated her enough by taking it in the first place. He supposed that was enough for one day, unless he found the need to make her furious now that is. Fury always led to angry make up sex!

"Jerk." she muttered under her breath, but smirked a little since he agreed to the deal. Great, now what was she suppose to do? She had no game well, she could play something on her phone, but changes were he'd take that from her too. Great, now she was forced to socialize. Shay pushed Mattias' arm off the back of her seat before she stretched her arms over her head and leaned back, arching her back over the chair as she stretched. As she came back to sit properly, her hand "accidentally" smacked the boy in the back of his head. Shay just gave the boy an innocent smile like nothing happened before she pulled her feet up onto her chair and wrapped her arms around her legs. "We're suppose to talk, right?" Shay asked, not too sure what they were suppose to talk about. She didn't really want to talk to him, but they could just talk about the basics: family, what they liked, so one and so forth.

Mattias Whyle"What's so good about picking up the pieces?"She could go ahead and call him a jerk all she wanted, more power to her. He was keeping the nickname. He let his arm flop down onto an armrest as she removed it from the back of her seat, not bothered by the action. He watched as she stretched, though flinched a bit as he was smacked in the back of the head. He shot her a look, rubbing the place that she had smacked. Well, karma was a b***h. That's what he got for slapping Jacob the Sam way earlier. Oh well. At least he got a smack! "Yeah, learn about each other and what not." He said, folding his arms behind his head. He tilted his head to look at her, dark locks falling over a side of his face. "Well, lets talk video games. I want to know what I'm going up against later." He shot her a smirk. "What type is your favorite? I'm a fan of zombie-a**-kicking." Those games were the s**t. Except with Jacob played with him. You might think that being twins, they would have at least some of the same skills. The only skill they had in common was their ability to skateboard. Jacob sucked at video games, especially zombie ones. Let it be known that more often than not, Mattias ended up killing his character to put him out if his misery.

"I like a lot of games from DS to X-box. Zombie games are all right, but I got bored of them least year. I beat all the ones I've played. I love Amnesia, especially when you watch other people play it." Shay had a thing for horror themed games mainly because a good scare was good for you. Plus the game had custom stories, so it was endless amounts of fun for her. She didn't play games with others often mainly because most of the people she knew weren't into video games other than her grandfather. The man might have been 64, but he could kick some major *ss in Halo live. "I think zombie games would be a lot more fun with two people, but that could be said about any game," she shrugged a little and tilted her head back to rest on the back of her seat. Her grandfather refused to play zombie games and whenever she asked he always said, "If I play that game I might end up a zombie myself; I'm old enough, ya know." She sort of just gave up.
