Oh Cause Blue Skies Are Calling But I Know That It's Hard This Is The Last Letter That I Write While Still In Love With you To Whoever it may concern, The sky you know is not the sky I am looking at now. I know this because, the sky I am looking at now is decaying. My father says that the atmosphere is collapsing and soon the earth will be uninhabitable. Unless he and his researches can get the barriers up in time. There are only a few hours left. We were supposed to have another month. I fear I will not survive to see the world where you live. Or the blue skies that you will see. Are there clouds? The year is 3000. I live in a big house with my father and mother. Though my mother's name is Thomas. He is a man. My father's are gay, but I love them all the same. They've taken care of me since my real mother passed away. I have a servant who is also my very close friend. Her name is Annabelle. I don't know her last name. She has long black hair and pretty green eyes. She helps me to exercise and take my medications. Do you like poptarts? I have a kitten named Poptart. He has two tongues and only one eye. He's very small and sick like me. They say he mutated because he fell into my father's lab. I think he is adorable and I love when he sits on my lap while I am in my wheelchair watching the sky fall. I hope that your skies are blue and have fluffy clouds. I wish I could see them with you and we could say they look like shapes and animals. I think Poptart would've liked to run around in the fields with sunlight coming down. I'll never meet you, but I am glad you are alive. Sincerely,

Time has a way of erasing disasters, slowly but surely. Just like with the other disasters time erased the great collapse. When the world's atmosphere came crashing down and the world was in great danger. No one knows exactly what caused it, but they know that it was highly unnatural. Dr. Kuso Nakashima was in charge of the Antisphere Reserve Project. To study the collapsing atmosphere he moved to the highest mountain range and built a replacement. Him, his husband, and their daughter suffered greatly for this decision. His daughter was extremely ill thanks to the solar radiation that leaked into their home. Dr. Nakashima's daughter died exactly three hours before the Antisphere was launched. Her cat Poptart was found on her lap and a letter was by her hand. She died before she could sign it. Sora Nakashima died at age twelve in the year 3000. Now in the year 3012 the world has rebuilt itself. The Antisphere still up and running. It replaced the atmosphere and produces the same life giving effects. Thanks to Dr. Nakashima the world was saved and the crisis averted. Though many places were effected by the radiation and heat. There are less then 70% of human population left, and plants and animals have become mutated. 25% of the humans have suffered from mutation. Only 10% surviving. Those who have been mutated are now called Calamity's Children. They are seen as rare and strange creatures. Often times having double the life of a normal human. They all have some kind of mental mutation. In 3002 it was ruled that these Calamity's Children were not considered applicable under the constitutional rights. It became a sport to collect them as slaves.

Post all Profiles in The Profile thread in the Profile Storage Forum. This story takes place in a company called Calamity's Orphanage. An organization dedicated to collecting Calamity's Children and using them to their advantage. From assassins for hire, to prostitution. They keep the children in the top floors of a large skyscraper. Much like a hotel they are kept well enough. It truly is more like an orphanage then a slave house. Which any of the Children would tell you, they would rather be here then outside of the safety of the walls. Calamity's Children are mutants. Some were effected by appearance alone. Others were effected by physical ability alone. And then there were those who were exposed the most and got the worst. They are effected physically in both ability and appearance. These Children are called Fallen Angels. Though all of them suffer from mental mutations it's the Fallen Angels that have it the worst. They can be completely crazy or sometimes even almost completely brain dead. Only able to function in the most basic manners. Chivalier are the ones who keep close eyes on the children. There are three levels of Chivalier for the three types of Calamity's Children. 1st level = Maids, servants, cooks, etc. Mundane people who serve the lesser powered. 2nd level = Body Guards, security, the people who watch mostly the -brothel- or keep the physical ability enhanced ones in line and safe. 3rd level = Keepers. These ones are specifically hired to watch the Fallen Angels and be with them 24/7. They are in charge of only one at a time, and it's normally the same one all the time.

Iren Noah Taking Care Of Better Children For Tomorrow It was safe to say that as an Chivalier you were never bored. Sure he could have become a layer or maybe a cook. However that would never live up to the excitement of his job now. He was a keeper and not just any keeper either. He had one of the most interesting and complicated fallen angels to look after. The poor boy was hardly a human in any sense. However, Iren liked him and had even gotten the boy to trust him and listen to him from time to time.
Right now he was sitting on the side of the pool watching the boy have fun. Micky liked to swim and play in the water. Iren had learned that almost immediately when he met the boy. Watching him was like watching some strange mermaid or something. He just glided through the water like it was air. There was no resistance against him. The water seemed to accept him as if he was another of it's children. Iren liked watching, but he didn't really swim much himself.

FISHCAN'TBREATHE.today & tomorrow, our dreams through the night FISHCAN'TBREATHE.waving our goodbyes, we'll never meet again
▌▍▎▏Ϻ IⒸ Ӄ У ▏▎▍▌ Underneath the water his breath left dark powder that sunk down and let the air bubble up. Micky enjoyed chasing the bubbles from the bottom of the pool to the top and then jumping out of the water like a dolphin and flipping backwards to dive back in. Then he would swing as close to the bottom as he could and act like an electric eel. His body thrashing and gliding through the water with ease. He loved the feel of it brushing over his thin skin. He could actually feel the ripples of water against his spine. When he came up for air finally he saw Iren looking at him. Iren was always watching him. Always there. He rarely came into the pool, but sometimes if Micky insisted then he would join. Today Micky didn't mind him staying out. So he gracefully swam over and crossed his arms on the man's legs to rest his chin and look up . "Uuu...ehk." The broken syllables resembled an animal trying to copy human words. There was no language to it at all just mumbles, squawks and growls. He tilted his head and blew a small cloud of smoke towards Iren. Micky didn't like normal people. He didn't like the other angels either. In fact he didn't like anyone. He liked fish. They were delicious. He also like blood. It was sweet. Human's tasted funny. Iren though, was fun and nice to him. Iren knew how to treat Micky. After all he realized that Micky wasn't a human and wasn't an animal. Micky was just Micky.

Iren Noah Taking Care Of Better Children For Tomorrow Micky was having fun and so was Iren. He couldn't deny that there didn't seem to be anything human about the boy. The way he flew through the water and leapt through the air. How could anyone mistake him for the weak beings known as humans?
Before he knew it Micky was now paying attention to him. Iren gave a small smirk when he saw the water creature come swimming over. He lightly ruffled the boys hair and listened carefully. He'd been with Micky for years and still only understood a bit of what he said. It seemed like the more years that past the worse the boys pronunciation became. However he could still gather the basic implications.
"I'm fine for a little longer. Though we should get food soon." He made the motion of eating and then ruffled the wet hair again. He didn't mind that his slacks were slowly getting soaked by the figure pressed against him. He could easily change, plus he was going to carry Micky back to the room anyways, so he'd get even wetter.

▌▍▎▏Ϻ IⒸ Ӄ У ▏▎▍▌ At the mention of food Micky's stomach decided to protest to the extensive exercise without nutrients. He leaned his head into the hand that ruffled his hair and closed his eyes lightly. Food definitely sounded good. However he didn't really want to get out of the water yet either. He lightly kicked his feet beneath the water and thought for a moment. "Ah! Ohno!." He dove back down so he could jump out and land sitting next to Iren. Micky put his arms in the air and gave a loud squawk with a bright smile. Iren always carried Micky. There wasn't a huge reason why, after all Micky could walk. He just liked to be carried. It was part of his childish charm.

Digital Samurai June Iren Noah Taking Care Of Better Children For Tomorrow Iren wasn't surprised when he heard the grumbling pleas of Micky's stomach. They had had ago, that was a long time when your metabolism was that of a hyperactive teenager. Not to mention all the exercise and physical strain. Add it all together and Iren could only guess how hungry the boys was. It was probably like a normal person not eating for a day or something.
As Micky jumped out of the pool Iren got to his feet and waited. Just as he thought the boy put his arms in the air and insisted on being picked up. Anyone else would think it impossible. The boy was only slightly shorter then Iren and looked far too muscular. However Iren leaned down; letting Micky wrap his arms around his neck and then slid one hand under his legs. Carrying him bridal style looked far too easy, and it was. Micky weighed maybe 98 pounds. It was almost nothing to someone like Iren.
Carrying him back to the room he set him on the edge of the bathtub and helped him get out of the wet swim clothes before putting him in a pair of jeans and a light t-shirt. Drying the boys hair with a towel he began talking, mostly to himself. "Let's see, we should go down to the cafeteria. That way we can be closer to the food source. I'm sure you could eat the entire tank at this point. I know I'm starving too. Hm, yeah it's the best option."
He finished and then hung the towel up before changing his own clothes. Another graphic tee and a pair of loose jeans. Grabbing a jacket now that he wasn't sitting in the warm sunlight he adjusted his glasses and put his earrings back in.

A N N A B E L L E I could never live without you![ D e v o t i o n ]I'm asking you to take me to safety this time. Lemon tea. It was the only drink you'd ever see Annabelle holding. Sweet but sour, just like her.
Annabelle was relaxing in the cafeteria; leaning against one of the counters with the cold beverage resting in her grip. She seemed to be staring off into space again. Her glasses riding low on her nose. She was remembering. That's all she could do in the silence. Her mind would run away with her. Sometimes taking her to darker places. Places where she would get lost.
However at the moment she was lost in pleasant memories. Her mind wandering back to a time without clouds and blue skies. A time in a large house that she knew her way around perfectly. With a small cat brushing against her legs and meowing with it's two tongues. She remembered picking the small creature up and carrying it back to her room. Annabelle still missed her...how she wished she could see the sky now.
Back then Annabelle hadn't been seen as something strange or inhuman. She'd been useful and loved. Now here she was, with all these children lost in a world of cruelty and misunderstanding.

Leigh Torren Sweet Dreams are Made of These Who Am I to Disagree Travel The World And The Seven SeasHe'd been in his room with the door open the entire day. His ward was in the room next to him. For her to get anywhere she'd have to pass by and he would notice her. At least that was his reasoning since she refused to let him enter her room. He didn't understand the woman in the slightest bit. The only reason he didn't ask for someone else was because she was probably the most sane Calamity Child. If being a chevalier didn't pay so well he would have gone back to being a body guard for rich guys. He could still here her T.V playing and her hair dryer running. She'd insisted on taking a shower. So he didn't argue. However she hadn't eaten yet, she'd had an early day and hadn't had a chance. So he stood and went to her door. As soon as his knuckles hit the wood it swung open. He cussed under his breath and swiftly ran to the stairs. Hopping over the railing he made it to the -private- floor where the cafeteria was. If she wasn't in her room that meant she was in the kitchen. Just as he suspected she was leaning against the counter spacing off. "Annabelle!" He almost growled as his hand struck her across the face. Hard enough to get her attention, but not to leave a mark. After all her face was the only good thing about her. "How many times? I've told you! You're not allowed to leave without me!"

Sean Only the blind truly see. Sean sat in his room watching the activity in his new home. Moving is never easy. Especially when you are a 15 year old blind boy with glowing blue eyes and your new home is full of odd people with strange abilities. But it was already proving to be better than his old home, if you could call a cardboard shack in a filthy alley a home. Here he had a steady supply of food, a bed, a shower and a roof that didn't leak or randomly collapse on him. Best of all he didn't have strangers chasing and attacking him because they thought he brought doom. All because he told people how his father was going to die a week before it happened. Not that he thought he was making a better impression here. Here not even a full day and his escort popped a blood vessel in his brain while standing right next to Sean. Worst of all it was five minutes after Sean told him about it. Just enough time for him to tell everyone else. After they cleared out the body they shut Sean in his new room saying they would send someone else to replace the poor man. And so there he sat. Watching things on the other side of walls with eyes that did not see.

I Can Take The Abuse. I Just Can't Take Your Orders.Coralin was reassigned once again. A lot of these -special- children didn't like being treated like everyone else and some of them got pretty violent. Coralin didn't see a reason to spoil them, what was so special? They were just people after all. Yet the rules clearly stated that Keepers couldn't hurt their wards. So often times she took the punishment. Bandages covered most of her neck, and her face looked like it had been punched a few times. However she was smiling as she walked down the hall to her new ward. His name was Sean, apparently he was blind, but didn't really need help seeing or getting around. His last keeper had gone into the hospital. Coralin always had bad luck, but she never saw it that way. She liked to think of everything as a challenge. She never listened to the people who she should and she never did what was exactly expected of her. After all she was only 19 years old. She got to the door and straightened out her button up shirt. Finishing the buttons to hide most of the buises and bandages. She knocked on the young mans door before calling out. "Excuse the interruption, but my name is Coralin. I'm your new Keeper."

FISHCAN'TBREATHE.today & tomorrow, our dreams through the night FISHCAN'TBREATHE.waving our goodbyes, we'll never meet again
▌▍▎▏Ϻ IⒸ Ӄ У ▏▎▍▌ Mickey rarely had to give much effort into anything when he wasn't working an assignment. All he had to do was relax and do what he wanted. Of course he was nice enough to move a little and help Iren get him dressed and cleaned up. He wasn't that spoiled after all. So he put his arms in the air to let the T-shirt slide on and kicked out his legs to help with his jeans. Iren worked the complicated things like buttons and zippers. As Mickey watched in curiosity. Buttons really were strange things. "Eh Eh!" He squawked as he watched Iren adjust his earrings. Mickey tilted his head and tugged on his own earlobe. He wanted to see which earrings Iren was wearing that day. He liked the jewels. They were shiny. Mickey loved shiny things. When he felt a bit impatient he stood and held onto Iren's shoulder to pull himself up and looked at the shining crystal clusters. He smiled and gawked in approval. Mickey put his arms out and motioned to be picked up again. Only pausing to rub his stomach in sign he was hungry.

Sean Only the blind truly see. Sean noticed the young woman as soon as she entered his range of perception, about thirty feet. She was hard to miss with all the damage. Physical injuries and defects always stood out to him. He chuckled lightly when she stopped to straighten her clothes before entering. He had seen enough of the goings on of this place to guess she was his new keeper and, thus, would know he was blind. Not that he cared about such minor things like appearance. It contributed nothing to one's mental development. The woman introduced herself. Coralin was it? "So that's it, is it? They think they can keep putting damaged people around me to test my ability to predict death? Well I'm sorry, but none of your injuries are fatal. In fact, other than that weakness in your left arm, everything will heal up fine given time."He let out the rest of the breath as a huff just before turning, seemingly to look at a particularly blank part of the wall. He quickly looked back at Carolin with an excited look. "Has he been swimming? Is there a pool?"

I Can Take The Abuse. I Just Can't Take Your Orders.Coralin entered the room and stood there when the boy started talking. He commented on his suspicions and she actually laughed at him. It was a barking laughter that made her entire body shake. "Well that's great, but I'm afraid you're wrong." She shook her head even though he was blind. Although from what she could tell he could see things perfectly fine. "I was assigned to you because I'm not going to die anytime soon. I'm fit as a fiddle and hard as a god to kill." She boasted and put her hands on her hips in triumph. Following his gaze to the one known as Micky she smirked. "Of course there's a pool. This place has everything. There's even an arcade and gym here. It's not a prison you know." She shook her head once more in disbelief of the man. "Let me explain a bit. This place is like a high class specialty living center. Anything you want, we can get it for you. As long as you do your job when it comes up. The better you do the more privileges you get. Understand?"
