Ride to the top for a splendid view of the horizon painted crimson under the blood moon. Just be cautious and watch your step. It is quite a long way down....

Chishio sulked as she leaned near the ferris wheel. A once well respected warrior, she scoffed at how she was now reduced to running attractions for a carnival. Crossing her arms, the vampire looked up at the castle in the distance, remembering her life in those very halls. A small sigh escaped her lips as she recalled those ancient days.

Not wishing to hurt his hearing with all the noise below, Bartheyamus decided to take a ride on the ferris wheel for a bit of a reprieve. The noise and lights weren't his sole motivation, however. How could any vampyre of any caliber refuse such a lovely blood moon? As with most occasions when the moon was in such a state, the male bowed his head and began praying. After a brief moment, he removed his cloak and allowed himself the rare treat of exposing his arms. He took some ink and a brush from his pack and began painting glyphs and wards on his pale flesh. For such an occasion, he would later turn the painted wards into tattoos, those of which could offer great magickal power. He was in a state of serenity indeed but he could help but wish he had someone to share it with.
He grinned wistfully, letting his hair obscure his face as a lone tear rolled down his cheek.
"Such is my fate." he mumbled "Am I to bear my cross in solitude for eternity?"
He didn't need to answer that question, deep inside he knew the answer... sadly.

It seems everyday goes by quickly.... Like a river flowing down hill.
Hana
Hana entered a car on the ferris wheel as she sighed her eyes lit under the moon. "Much smaller than the ones I've seen." she said aloud, but to herself.
I guess I'm just another leaf in that river

Stepping up to the massive attraction, Katsuto looked up at the odd ride before him. A slight frown crossed his features as he tried to decipher the purpose of such a mechanism.

Chishio glared at the different people coming to ride the carousel. Each time another boarded the ride, she curse under her breath. "I hope you all plummet to your death." In her opinion, no living being within this wretched land should have survived. She was just about to state this to the next person when she paused, recognizing the tall, daunting figure standing there. "Can it be?!" It was! It was the Lord that she had served so very many years ago. She ran over, bowing low before the vampire. "Lord Katsuto, it is an honor and a privilege to once again be in your presence. I trust that you have been doing well."

Bartheyamus peered down for a moment to regard the two, still painting his glyphs.
"Evening, Lord. So good to finally see you in person. I thank you for thine invitation to let me stay at thy castle. The sights and sounds of Rosencroix are far better than the unforgiving winds of Stavanger, I assure you."
Though he was at the very top of the wheel, Bartheyamus could speak to Katsuto and could hear each other as if they were face-to-face: A remarkable trait shared by vampyres.

The vampire raised an eyebrow as he regarded Chishio. This woman seemed to know him, but he could not recall her. Still, he acknowledged her presence. "Indeed. I am doing well. What is this attraction you run?"
Looking up, Katsuto gave a slight bow of his head to Bartheyamus. "Thank you for your presence with us. I trust that you are well treated thus far?"

Bartheyamus grinned at Katsuto's response and quickly put his ink and brush away. With one fluid motion, he did a swan dive off of the Ferris and used his cloak as a parachute to safely land before his Lord.
"But of course, My Liege." he bowed deeply. "I am at your disposal should you need anything. However, if you don't me asking, what are you doing here, at the carnival I mean."

The vampire returned the bow respectfully, looking around the carnival grounds. "I suppose I was merely curious as to how the more common residents of my kingdom found amusement in such frivolities. What are your thoughts, Lord Bartheyamus?"

Bartheyamus straightened his clothes out which were wrinkled from the wind, making sure everything was in place. After his fidgeting, he looked to Katsuto.
"Quite honestly, lord, I've never been to a carnival before this one came here. My former king could not afford such niceties as we were expansive, powerful, but only had enough to support the necessities in our kingdom."
He paused to flick a leaf out of his hair.
"I look at the carnival with much confusion. There's much to see, much to do. I've tried a few things but can't help but feel restrained, shy, you could say." his voice trailed off for a moment
"I suppose you could say I'm more fit for service, it's as it's always been: You dedicate your life to service, you find little time to know what levity feels like."
His eyes went wide for a minute and his heart sank a bit.
"I hope I didn't say anything offensive, I am enjoying myself but just with restraint."

It took some time for Rosalie to make her way to the Ferris Wheel. She had searched around the area for a game she could win at, but had been thoroughly disappointed to find that none of them seemed easy or fair. Feeling a little defeated she made her way into the shadow of the large wheel. Her eyes grew wide as she took it in from below and her excitement returned to her. She looked around the area for a ticket booth and her eyes found Katsuto. Seeing him standing there in the red moonlight, she couldn't help but smile. She wondered if he would ride with her. It seemed that he was busy with a new guest, so she decided to wait. She walked closer to them and stood by Katsuto's side. Her smile was bright when she looked at the elegantly dressed gentleman, but she said nothing.

Shaking his head, the vampire continued his conversation with the newcomer. "Indeed, I understand your predicament quite well. I am not used to such frivolities as many of the others here are. I am much more accustomed to my castle and do not find much reason to stray far from it." Sensing another presence, Katsuto looked to Rosalie. A small smile lit his features. "I trust you are enjoying yourself?"

She smiled up at him, "I'm having a wonderful time. Although, I think I lost the dice game. I came to and now I don't have any money..." She trailed off in a slightly confused tone. "I think all the games here are made for someone with better skills than me, or perhaps someone with a more deceitful tongue." She gave a slight pout. "Actually.." She hesitated for a moment, a blush forming on her cheeks, "I was hoping that you would ride the Ferris Wheel with me.." She spoke very softly.

Glaring at those that dared interrupt her, Chishio straightened up and went back to her operations. Glancing over her shoulder, she looked at Rosalie and gave a small laugh. There was no way that the Katsuto she knew would give a simple human the time of day, much less time alone with him in an intimate setting.
