So here's hoping this works. Now I have to make sure to keep updating the darn thing.
All about me!: Hey, my name's rahna. I'm in my early 20's, I love reading anything I can get my mitts on, everything Japanese, hula-hooping, bowling, DDR (I stink HORRIBLY at it), sleeping, spacing out, sprinting, swimming, and housework!
(No seriously, I enjoy cleaning. I have to have the will for it of course, but it's quite fun seeing how much I can get done with my tiny frame. Plus, I love to know I can be of some use.)
I've been called nice, and told that I can probably make friends with anybody. So please, send the odd comment or PM my way. (I luff random comments) I appear to be quite good in the advice department, so feel free to come to me about any problems you have. If anything, I'll lend an ear and be your sounding board.
My current weight is 124, judging by the old scale I weighed myself on yesterday. And looking at my physique, it seems a reasonable estimate. I'm 5'1 and even I know that the beginnings of a muffin top, cellulite on my thighs, and a flabby tush are not healthy.
(If you've got suggestions for what I should do, I'll be happy to hear them.)

First recorded entry: 6/1/11
So let's begin. My records for eating and action today are as follows:
What I've eaten: A peanut butter sandwich around noon. I did NOT have dessert after that, yay! I've also had a Pepsi (which I generally don't drink more than once a day, if that.) I also caved and ate 2 animal crackers dipped in icing. But only 2. Then I dipped my finger in icing and walked out. Last, supper. (Pork chop, small helping of green beans, 2 slices of garlic bread. And a caramel bar for dessert)
Active-ness: Did a small part in helping my mom and sister paint the wall, clambered up the attic stairs once, and walked up to the highway and back. (This equals a mile 1/2)

6/2/11
Eats: Peanut butter sandwich for lunch, caramel bar for dessert. Snacked on a few animal crackers (with icing) during the afternoon, along with a Pepsi. Dinner was wild Turkey cooked with a Parmesan breading. Had 3 or so little brownies after, and 2 little "Three Musketeers" before.
Activities: Walked the mile 1/2 to F (the highway) and back, then a little extra to an abandoned house, then to the graveyard, and back to our house. Probably 2 miles total.

6/3/11
Activities: Walked the mile 1/2 to F and back. Some slight clambering up the attic stairs.
Eats: Reese's Puffs for breakfast, no lunch. Had a small-ish box of Rees's Pieces for a snack. (that was right after the walk, so I don't know if the two canceled each other out or what.) Had a Pepsi too. Pepperoni pizza for supper with Cosmic Brownies for dessert. Yeah I'm kind of ashamed of myself, but it was so GOOD.
BIG NEWS!!! I weighed myself again, and now the scale says 121.8. I don't know if that's accurate or not since it seems highly illogical that I could've lost 2 pounds in 2 days. Even with the...5 miles I've walked total in these past few days. But it makes me really happy. mrgreen (5 miles...WOW. That's crazy.) On the other hand, my thighs definitely do feel smaller. My stomach kind of does too. -prods gut- Yeah, exercising is WORKING!!!

6/5/11
Activities: I distinctly recall walking another 2 miles yesterday (cause I got sea ticks all over me and I know those bites are not my imagination) and that puts me up to 7 miles. Today I walked down to the fishing pond, which isn't more than a 5 minutes walk. Besides an slight uphill climb, it doesn't really count as exercise. Did some swinging with my cousin, and while it wasn't much, I could feel the muscles in my leg being pulled. I'm gonna take a leap and say that's a good thing. blaugh
Eats: Bowl of Reese's Puffs for breakfast. I didn't drink the milk, I despise that dairy product...(but we have chocolate milk now, yay!) Lunch was...beef. I think. Green beans (with bits of tasty bacon), mashed potatoes (lots of gravy), and a chocolate cupcake. I nursed a Pepsi bottle throughout the day and my biggest fault came when we stopped by McDonalds on the way home from church and I ordered an Oreo McFlurry. It was over 90 degrees and I had no way of getting cool! (My pepsi was hot). So I don't feel guilty on the grounds that it was solely for the purpose of cooling down.
UPDATE(I had a small handful of miniature Saltines around midnight)
Oh all right...I feel a little guilty. I'm debating walking another mile 1/2 just to work it off. Done, YEAH!!!

6/5/11
Activities: Clambered up and down the attic stairs 'bout 8 times. That should count for something. May or may not walk the mile 1/2 tonight. I feel kinda off...so I might just stay here.
Eats: Fiber One chocolate poptart for breakfast. Didn't have lunch, just an early dinner. That was steak, grilled green beans, fries, and a diet coke. And then a big packet of Reese's (4 cups) I feel a bit guilty about the Reese's, but I do so love those candies.
Despite all this walking I'm doing, my...back-end seems to be getting flabbier and flabbier. And why is the left side of me so much fatter?! gonk

6/10/11
Okay so I don't have much excuse for not updating this. Some days I didn't have internet, the other days I was just like..."meh, I'll fill it in later". And whaddya know, I forgot everything I ate. I had some decently healthy foods, but I also ate a lot of junk. And I am horribly ashamed of myself.
BUT, I know that I walked another 3 miles, thus bring my total up to 10. And boy am I proud of that! And we walked to the creekbed yesterday, which is a decent stretch. Did some careful climbing and vine swinging!! Not really relevant to my weight loss, but that was fuuuun. xD
I'm home from Grandpa's now (and we're never going back) so all that exercising I did, well...let's say I'm not going to be able to do NEAR as much. So that means I have to double my exercises in the morning. And my supremely flabby behind is serving as GREAT motivation.
School festival tomorrow, YEAH!!! I'll try not to have too much junk food. whee

I had a chocolate poptart for breakfast, along with a glass of orange juice. Mom says chocolate and orange are a disgusting combination (disregarding the fact that one of her favorite candies is the chocolate orange), I say it's DELICIOUS. Oh! I did my exercises today. I know I did at east 30 sit-ups (I lost track somewhere, had to start back at 20) and 30+ squats. BIG NEWS!!! Before we left, squats did nothing to firm up the backside. This time they did, that hasn't happened in well over a month. (And I do my exercises 3 weeks a month.) So I am very very happy about that. 3nodding
I intend to do some housework today, so keeping on my toes (running up and down the stairs multiple times...) should do me good.

good job on the exercising definitely keep that up.
i hope you are drinking lots of water.if not, maybe every once in awhile try exchanging the diet coke and orange juice with water. OR even better if you do drink soda or juice then "wash it down" with a couple glasses of water (doesnt really work like that but if for every non-water drink you have , you do that then you can definitely make sure your drinking enough water).water is linked to muscle definition.
ive noticed you've also "cheated" a bit which is actually ok. its better to have small cheats then to deprive yourself and then later on have huge cravings for things and potentially fall off the wagon.
so good job so far. seems like your doing just fine.

Wow, thank you!! The advice is really appreciated. I usually don't drink much juice or soda more than once a day. I'm glad the bits of junk food I'm eating aren't being frowned upon. (you struck a very good point with that.) I chose water over soda today at my old school festival, I knew it would be better since I'd be running all over for the rest of the evening. ^___^ It's good to have an outside opinion on my progress, thanks very much for commenting on my journal. (My weight today said 121 lbs, I think that's good for a 5'1 height. I'm just not fit yet...)

Fiber One poptart for breakfast, ramen for lunch (with fresh carrots) and grilled chicken (barbequed) with watermelon, grapes, and strawberries for supper. I had two Fudge Rounds today (one after lunch, one after supper) and 2 smores cause we had the fire going. But only two. And now I sit here nursing a cup of Diet Sprite. (If I snack again tonight, it'll be on cheese and peanut butter crackers.)
I'm hoping I did good by adding carrots to my ramen. Usually I use celery, but we didn't have any today. Next time (since I now know to cut the vegetables into REALLY tiny bits) I'll use both.
