Angela was standing on the deck of the Winged Serpent, leaning over the railing slightly, letting the crisp wind catch her hair and blow it back from her face. It was beautiful up here.
Nearly sunset below them, the light had the clouds pink and gold. It was calm and the ride was smooth without at hint of turbulence--at least for the time being. And best of all, everyone else was either below deck or in the cabin so she had the deck to herself for the time being. It was nice.
Sort of serene and. She was rather enjoying it.
Leaning out, she peered down at the patches of ground occasionally visible through the clouds and tried to remember where they were even headed. Oh well. It didn't matter. She would ask someone later. She closed her eyes and smiled into the wind. Right now, she just wanted to enjoy the peace and quiet.

A bunch of rather loud humming from a red head broke the air. It was the same song he always hummed, he sucked at whistling. Zen bent over from standing on the roof of the cabin to look at Angela, adding some words in his native language into the humming out of habit. Good thing he didn't bring a cape today, it was pretty windy and all.

Angela grimaced when she heard someone humming. Ugh. Who was that? Definitely not Scott as the universe would likely implode if he did something as...superfluous as hum.
And the voice was too deep for Ian. But not deep enough for Ben. She frowned and sighed in annoyance, looking behind her. She didn't see anyone. And why did that voice sound so...familiar?
She turned around, leaning her elbows on the rail to survey the deck, feeling a tiny p***k at the corner of her mind. A familiar presence.
She froze right around when she recognized that feeling and realized the humming was coming from above her. Looking up, she saw a face peering down at her from the roof of the cabin--a face surrounded by a shock of red hair.
And she very nearly face palmed. "Z--Zen....what are you doing here?"

"Taking a vacation, I got bored in Kall." He sat down on the roof looking around like a kid in a candy store. "Nice ship thingy. I used to have one. Whatcha doing?"
He laid down, like a weird cat in a comfortably high place. Looking at the sky with some color was nice since Kall was always the same.

"I was enjoying the quiet," Angela said. "And now I'm talking to you. And thank you though it isn't mine so I don't suppose I have the right to thank you for it."
"Could...you come down here? Or bring me up there? It's a bit awkward craning my neck like this to talk to you."
She was also thinking that if the others found him on board they were going to completely freak out. "Ah...perhaps bringing me up there would be best for now." Less likely to be caught that way.

He poofed Angela up to the roof without bothering to get up. "Who's is it then? Where are we going?" Zen was terribly excited.
It was getting pretty cold though, despite having three layers of clothes. He didn't expect to be flying in the sky for stalking Angela.

"Scott and Ian's," Angela said. "Who, incidentally, would likely be most displeased at an intruder and all that. I'm sure you would find it thoroughly enjoyable."
"And I can't remember. Dublin or somewhere."
She sighed and laid beside him, kicking her feet slightly. "You never really said what you're doing here."

"Dublin, sounds fun," He faked a bad Irish accent. It was warmer with Angela next to him.
"Well, I am exploring and snooping around like old men do. Change of scenery and some adventure... I'm sure you remember how Kall is. An Immortal's gotta have a hobby." Zen stretched, leaving out the "I'm old and I got lonely" bit that usually followed his explanations for stalking people.

"That....was a horrible accent," Angela said, laughing slightly. "And don't call yourself an old man. Even if you're...rather old, it's just weird. You don't look like an old man and I don't think of you that way so it's odd."
"And adventure is good. We're usually quite good at finding them as well. Ah...so how is Kall anyway? The same as it was when I was there?"

"That's what I get for having learned English from Americans. Kall is... like it always is. If it changed then I'd be worried. My sister is baby sitting Tintagil and Aetra." Zen smiled, he did look good for his age anyway.

"Ah.....Aetra...." Angela grimaced. "Ugh." She rolled onto her back and watched a flock of birds fly high above the ship. Aetra...
Such a strange person. Thing. Strange and rude and...ugh. He had kissed her. She made a face. "Zen, how did Aetra end up there? I mean he doesn't really seem to belong. He's just...there."
"And he clearly indicated he hasn't always been. Do you know where he came from and all that?"

"Not a clue. The only person, the first Power of Kall, who'd know is kind of dead. Not all dead, but she won't tell me either and neither will he. I get the impression she pitied him. I gave up trying to sucker Aetra into telling me." Zen grimaced, he hated the creature.

"He needs to just...get laid," Angela said. "That's what Ian would say anyway. He's convinced somehow that it's the answer to every problem. Though with Aetra, that would probably just be disturbing."
Ew. She wrinkled her nose and tilted her head to look at Zen's face. "Not all dead? So...only partially dead?"

"Maiden sacrifices in craters creep me out." Zen pondered, then went back to the more sane question "Well, technically the original Powers can't die. If their body is gone they just get the strength to make another... She had used all her energy and resorted to tearing apart her mind to fight off someone. I have what's left of the broken pieces of her. So dead but not all dead? I don't really know."

"Ugh...Powers are...weird," Angela said. "Having pieces of someone inside you--that sounds like something my father would say. I don't like thinking about it. It just gives me a headache."
She gave him a slightly teasing smile. "And I never said anything about maiden sacrifices. That was entirely your idea."
