Stage One: "Creating the pilot."
You cant always be in your mobile suit so when your not you should have a face. You must think up what you want you character will act like, look like, feel. Originality it greatly appreciated, not only by others but by you as well, the more depth the deeper you can fall in to your character. We dont want rips from the anime so originality is greatly appreciated...nobody wants a winy Amuro/Kira rip off.

Stage Two: "Enlisting."
Sign up and enlist with the forces you that you relate to there ideals. Then when your character is ready the can be expected to pass the physical traning exams, why physical exams? Because you wont always have a mobile suit. Remember some times sides are not taking any further pilots for reasons such as over crowding, or current plot which doesn't allow any further member to enlist.

((what else should i say?))

Stage Seven: "Stats."

This section describes what takes place, and what the purpose of each stat is. This is only a description, it does not go in to detail of what each stat is for and what does what.

If you have questions feel free to assk in the "Questions and Assistance." Thread in the main fourm, and a crew member will gladly get to you A.S.A.P.

Level: Your pilot's current level.

Hp: Or Hit points, they describe how much beating your pilot can take before losing consciousness or worse, death. Hp Is calculated by [con mod x level], to read more about the calculation please read the "What is D20?" thread.

Mod Points: Are the points you get when you level up. Every time your pilot levels up you get +3 mod (short for modification points) and you keep track of them by placing xx/xx the front number being the number used, the back being whats available. If you use a mod point, its gone forever, there is now way to bring it back out of a part, once its used it final.

Experience: Your pilot's current experience out of the needed experience to level up (example 97/100 at 100 the pilot would level up)

Stats

As a starting rookie, you have 20 points to distribute amongst them.

Strength: This measures your raw physical power.
Dexterity: This measures how agile you are, as well as your coordination skills and reaction time. This affects your dodge bonus.
Constitution: This is how hardy you are, how much you can endure.
Intelligence: This is how smart you are in terms of knowledge, and using your mobile suit.
Wisdom: This measures your instinct, as well as your aptitude to the wild. It also affects your dodge bonus.
Charisma: This is how good your social skills are.

Evasion Bonus: How Adept your pilot is at avoiding injury, by way of fist, knife, gun fire, etc. EB is determined by [Dex mod + Wis mod + level]

Stage Eight: "Stat Distribution."

This will describe how to allocate your starting distribution pointsfor your level and rank.

Points for distribution: The point you start with according to your starting rank, that are to be distributed among the four stats listed above depending on how you want your pilot to grow.

Modifiers: Modifiers are the calculation from the stats, used for a number of different things. To Figure out the stats modifier you simply divide the total stat /2 and round down.

~Example~ frank has 2 strength and 7 dexterity. 2/2=1 so his str mod would be one and his dex mod 7/2=3.5 rounded down=3 his dexterity mod would be 3.

Stage Nine: "Attack."

Attack Number: This is the number of attacks your pilot has. you always start with 3 attacks, and every fifth level you receive a additional attack. See the Leveling and Experience thread to see what levels you receive a additional attack tun on.

Base Attack Bonus: The Base Attack Bonus is the amount added to your melee and ranged attacks. To figure out your Base Attack Bonus all one needs to do is look at your level. This is because your level is your Base Attack Bonus, so if you are level 1 then your Base Attack Bonus is 1 and so forth. You need the Base Attack Bonus to figure our your Attack Melee and Attack Ranged bonuses which is what you actually use in battle.

Attack Melee: The Attack Melee is simply what is added on to your melee attack attempts. Therefore, when you are using fists or some type of weapon where it is close-range battle (you are not throwing it) then you are using this. In order to figure out your Attack Melee you just add your strength modifier to your Base Attack Bonus. It must be done from the same square as target.

Attack Ranged: The Attack Ranged is simply what is added on to your ranged attack attempts. Therefore, when you are using any thing at a range, it can be from a different or same square. In order to figure out your Attack Ranged you just add your dexterity modifier to your Base Attack Bonus.
