Hino goes to a school that specialises in music and has two streams the normal stream and the music stream, where the music students are regarded as the more elite. She was running late for her class one day when she saw a tiny fairy, who seemed really excited that she could see it. The next day, the entrants in the music competition, who are decided by the school, are announced. Hino's name appears on the list - except she doesn't play an instrument. The fairy gives her a magical violin that can be played by anyone. Reluctantly, she enters into the competition and is forced to deal with the prejudices of her peers.

I decided to start this guild because I've fallen in love with the manga an anime! Also I have a strong connection with music. I play two instruments.

Piano- I've been playing for at least 11 years now

Violin- 7 years probably, but my sister is seriously amazing! I quit violin one year but she's alot better than me razz

Tristesse Info: The title for this song is 'Loath to Depart' in the manga, but this is actually a piece composed for the piano by Frederic Chopin. The real title is Etude in E major.

Ave Maria Info: This piece is composed for the piano and violin, the song is beautiful. It is composed by Franz Schubert.

Fantasie Impromptu Info: Frederic Chopin, this piece is extremely difficult, but is one of my favorite piano pieces of all time!!!

Carmen Fantasy Op.25 Info: Mentioned by Shoko Fuyuumi Vol.3 page 107 panel 4. I don't think it was actually performed by any of the characters, but it is seriously worth checking out. It is one of my favorite violin pieces and the composer is Pablo de Sarasate <= My favorite composer of music for the violin ^_^

Ziguenerweisen Op.20
Info: Hihara mentioned this piece in Vol.3 page 107 panel 3. This song is also worth checking out! It's short, around 6 mins. I believe but it is EXTREMELY difficult to perform ^_^ It is also known as Gypsy airs.

Liebesleid (Joy of Love)
Info: This song is composed by Fritz Kreisler, and Kahoko performs this piece. It's a happy song, but I prefer the pieces' counterpart 'Sadness of Love'.

Zapateado Op.23
Info: Len Tsukimori performs this piece in Vol.3. This song is short, impressive, and very upbeat. There are a lot of harmonics and sliding on the violin and it is composed by Sarasate. Also named for 'Spanish heel-tapping'

Meditation from Thais
Info: Composed by Massenet, this piece is very slow, lovely, and melodic. This mp3 is the violin version, not the version Azuma plays. It is also known for being a famous encore piece.

Scherzo-Tarantelle Op.16
Info: Len plays this piece in the competition, it is EXTREMELY difficult and very fast-paced. It is very technical, meant to show off a violinists skills. Composed by Henryk Wieniawski.

Canon in D
Info: A very famous string piece by Johann Pachebel. This song is beautiful, and well-known. Much more approachable to play then any of the other pieces. I believe this song only appeared in the anime, but I'm not positive.

On Wings Of Song
Info: Performed by Hihara in the second round of the competition. This song is composed by Mendelssohn.

Morning Mood
Info: Composed by Grieg and performed by Azuma ^_^
