Everybody has at least one. A favorite country. Maybe it's a place you visited once before. Maybe you learned the language when you were in school and always wanted to go there. Maybe it's because your favorite food comes from there. Maybe your favorite singer or athlete is from there. Maybe your great-great-great-great-great-great grandmother lived there. Maybe you live there. Or maybe you just became fascinated with the place and you can't remember if there even was a reason for it in the first place. Whatever the case you love the place. Well here's your chance to tell everyone just how much you love the place by talking about it and placing your votes to try and help it become the #1 country on Gaia.
All 193 UN recognized countries (this means no Taiwan, Puerto Rico, England, Greenland, Western Sahara, etc.) have been divided into 24 separate Groups. 50 countries will advance to Round Two, the winners of each Group as well as the next 26 highest voted countries will advance. Voting for Round One will last for 2 months and end on August 15th at noon EST. Round Two will start 5 days later on August 20th.
Round Two has begun and features 48 countries divided into 5 Groups. This Round will last for 1 month and end on September 20th. Round Three will feature the top 25 countries from Round Two and start on September 25th.
