Welcome to the Official Warhammer 40,000 and Tabletop Gaming Guild, or "The 40k Guild" as it's more simply called. We're a fairly tight-knit community of gamers, painters, writers, and enthusiasts for every aspect of the hobby.
About Us
Originally founded purely as a 40k forum, over time we branched out into Fantasy, and then into essentially all table-top wargames, from 40k to Warmachine to Bolt Action and everything in between. We welcome people from every aspect of the hobby, from those who just like to paint the models, to those who read the books and want to write their own, to the role-players, to the hardcore competitive gamers.
Why Join?
Wargaming can be a pretty isolated community, depending on where you live. This is a place to relax and talk game with like-minded folks from all over the world, a place to show off your skills and learn from that of others. In addition to discussion, we run series of hobby-themed competitions, to include painting contests, character creation, fiction writing, to Secret Santa model-swaps between members. The vast majority of contests are free to enter, and prizes vary from gold to real-life paint kits and miniatures. Contests and content aside, the biggest reason to join is simply to have fun!
What can I do to contribute?
Hanging out and talking with us is a contribution all by itself. More participation by hobby enthusiasts in the range of discussions and contests available make it more fun for everybody, and broadens our options for fun events. Hard to run a contest with no entrants!
The other way to contribute is to our guild mule account, Commissar Victoria. As the majority of our contests are free to enter, our prizes are funded mostly by donations by our members. If you are interested in donating, click her banner at the bottom of the page!
