Fun fact about DW as a character. He originally had six arms and no wings. He does develop wings later but that is a big story thingie. However, he never needed them to fly.

If I could get four decent arms, I'd ditch the wings for the sake of character accuracy. I do like the two arm look though, nice and simple. /overshare story time.

I love a lot of dragons, dragon books and myths. One of my favorite is Fafnir Link if you want to know more about him. He's from Norse mythology, and was a dwarf that shifted into the shape of a dragon to better guard his fathers gold. smile

I also love Aido-hwedo the Rainbow Serpent of Dahoney mythology.

I've read a lot of books about dragons too. My latest, is by Jade Lee and her Dragonbound books. smile

I forgot my favorite of all! Daazelwurm, he's known well in Switzerland! The famous dragon from European legend. It's a heritage thingy with me, since I have roots with the that part of the world. xd My Oma (Grandmother) use to tell me stories about Daazelwurm. smile

Daaxelwurm is a huge creature with wings, four legs, and claws and that can breath fire. He likes to feast on lost children and meandering cattle. A way for mother to scare there children not to wander away. wink If I remember the story right he lives in the caves of the Alps and waits to hear the wailing of lost children.
The Stollenwurm has a face of a cat, lizard head, long ridge, warts, a very long tail, and scales with red veins and bristles and stands on its hind legs to frighten people. ^_^ I use to beg for stories about him.

Indeed I would liked to see "Draco" (from Dragonheart) on the list. Was my choice, but saw Sephira and so gave my vote.

I had not read yet those parts in The Silmarillion sweatdrop nor read The Hobbit yet... gonk

But the one I was expecting to see, mentioned at least, was Elliot eek He was the first dragon I ever knew of and why I preffer to see dragons like Sephira and Draco and Shrek's and others alike.

Now, I believe I got the final set fo the avi. Have been struggling to use the Spirit's blushes or Twilight skin. sweatdrop I notice I am not the only one who tohguht of the sumonning circle for the dragon too xp May look for one more item... And then it may be finished. cool

And yeah, Ancalagon was more powerful than Smaug, but it didn't have half of latter charisma. I still prefer Glaurung because its story is better. heart

Oh, yeah, the story surrounding Glaurung is definitely one of my favorite parts, and really detailed and wonderful. Ancalagon only got... what, a few sentences? But I just can't deny a flying ship and the great eagles taking on a fearsome black dragon. whee Honestly, it's the parts of the story that are the least detailed, that are so interesting, because your imagination can run wild with it. xD

And yes, Tolkien ftw. x3

Oh and I thought of another dragon that should be on the poll.
Draco in the movie Dragonheart, voiced by effing Sean Connery.
