Okay, after a little over a week, the results of the poll (combined from both threads):

47 votes - Move thread
43 votes - Don't change
15 votes - No opinion

Since the votes are so close, I'm not going to take any action on moving the thread since there wasn't a real clear desire for this to happen from the community. I'll talk to Lanzer though on whether mods would allow the thread to be back in the zOMG! Discussion forum even if we chatted off topic like in chatterbox. If public opinion favors this option more in the future, we could go forward with that route then.

I've gone ahead and brought up the discussion to the team & admins. I'll see if I can get an answer for you.

For transparency though, things the moderation team would be reviewing is it being off topic at times and how it would affect the community and if it would add the exclusiveness that happens with most HOTs. Other things we look at is how appropriate it would be to have threads that are excluded from the forum rules and the affect it could have on the forum (such as encouraging more spam which we don't want to see happen).

What might work better (and the option I'll toss in) is if there was a dev meet sticky to announce the various meets and the thread could be linked within that sticky.
