Gnome general won't attack me. Help?

After we fight the smaller gnomes near the gnome general, he never attacks. Are we doing something wrong or is there a problem with this quest?

I've never had this issue before. I've fought this battle over 5 times and never had this problem.

Never seen this problem before. Are you sure you have killed all the little gnomes ? If you have and its still glitching you might just have to restart it.

Edit: Are you playing on medium? Apparently only Easy and Hard work on this instance.

After some tinkering with different things, a change of servers worked. This was the weirdest thing. I'm guessing the server was messed up. whee
