Well... after long, hard deliberation, I have come to the conclusion that I do not have the time needed to run the shop that I put my heart into creating.
I still love the concept, I'm still immensley proud of the linearts that I did, and they were fun to do.... but I don't have the time to put the effort that I think it deserves.

The shop I had set up is/was The Chrysanthemum and the Sword:

The shop is based after traditional Japanese Myths (and the focus of my major) and includes species such as : Tanuki (the raccoon-dogs of Japan - shapeshifters), Kitsune (mystical fox shapeshifters/tricksters), and Maneki Neko ("Lucky Cats" wink .

I had plans to do more species eventually such as Tengu (the Raven-people who were known for their swordsmanship, Nezumi (rat-people), Kappa (turtle/monkey-like river creatures), and perhaps eventually Kirin and Asian Dragons. Hover, The time did not allow. If the auction reaches high enough, I will do extra lineart sets for a species or two of these of the winners' choice (or a different one if they have an idea they like better).

So. Up for auction is the Linearts - I have created 30 completely unique linearts so far - for the three initial species. For the Kitsune and Tanuki there are 3 male and 3 female "basic" sets (the artifact that they emerge from, their kit/puppy stage, and adult animal stage, and then 2 anthro linearts for each gender - a fighter and an other (depending on the animal - the most likely society equivalent - Mages for the Kitsune, countryfolk for the Tanuki, and the Maneki Neko were going to be Yakuza/gangsters).

BIDDING/AUCTION INFORMATION
Starting Bid: 20k (this alone only covers the cost of the guild that is included)
Minimum Increments: 1k
Autobuy: None at the moment
Auction Ends: August 1, 2005 at 7pm Pacific Time (9pm central time)
Items/prices accepted: Pure (of course), Donation items and letters, and 2003 Event items from Halloween and before at Mid-LUCKY DEVIL

WHAT YOU GET

WHOMEVER WINS GETS:

All 30 lineart pieces (10 Tanuki, 10 Kitsune, 7 Maneki Neko, and 3 plushies) (see below)
The Certs
The banners
ALL the photoshops (if you want them).
A community of about 30 owners
THE GUILD - a value of 20k by itself: (which will be given to you or the mule)
The Mule account, Chrysanthemum and Sword, (but not her items) - who has a trading pass already bought.

HIGH BIDDING BONUSES

If the auction goes over 150k: I will draw the Male anthro Fighter neko (1 more lineart)
If the auction goes over 500k: I will do the above, and the M and F Anthro Yakuza nekos (2 more linearts)
If the auction goes over 3 Million gold: The winner can get the above, AND request me to do one more complete lineart set (10 pieces - m and f of relic, baby animal, adult animal and 2 anthros) of a second Japanese mythical creature of thier choice.
If the auction goes over 6 Million gold: The winner gest both of the above, and a SECOND full lineart set (10 pieces - m and f of relic, baby animal, adult animal and 2 anthros) of a second Japanese mythical creature of thier choice.

WHOMEVER WINS MAY (if they wish)

Use me for adivise/suggestions
Get all the current banners
Get the certs
Get all of the photoshops - including base colorations of all of them except True Form (anthro) stages
Use the detailed, original RP/stat system established in the guild
Change the rules, change the certs, change requirements, etc
Do Lineart Edits
Use any, all, or none of the story or text in the shop
Maybe - discuss wtih me about a very occasional colorist position

WHOMEVER WINS MUST

Allow all current owners to keep their pets, and not impose new rules on RP requirements on them. HOWEVER: All of the existing owners have had their pets fully grown to adult form, and you will NOT be responsible for growing them. Except for one owner, who has elected to slow her growth to RP her. I have completed coloring on that one, and will handle growing it. You do NOT need to host the old owners' pets if you do not wish to.
Host all new pets, the banners, and certs - I will continue to host the old owners if you wish me to.
Allow me to do a coloration for myself
Allow me to - on occasion, color one
Credit me on the certs and in the shop as the lineartist.
If you use the existing certs and/or banners, Credit Kamiki as their creator

Centuries ago, in a place called Earth, there existed many magical creatures throughout the lands, interacting with humans, and living out their lives. However, as the world shifted more towards logical and ration instead of tradition and superstition, the magic of the world began to gradually ebb away. Which caused the other is unknown, but for the magical creatures this was a time of impending danger. It became harder and harder for them to produce offspring, and sometimes those who did would birth normal animals instead of the magical creatures they themselves were. The humans also became more and more hostile towards any creature that they saw.

In order to protect themselves, some of the ancient, long-lived creatures withdrew to secluded locations to enter a deep sleep. Others, without that liberty had to resort to other means.

The tanuki and the kitsune, two races of shapeshifting tricksters in Japan, lived long lives, but many did not know if the magic would return any time soon, if ever, and if a normal hibernation would be safe enough. Instead, using their natural shapeshifting abilities, they transformed themselves into objects that held a deep meaning for them - sometimes transforming into stone statues outside of shrines, or ceremonial masks, and the like. However, as the years drug by, even as disguised as these artifacts, they fell into a very deep sleep in order to deal with being unable to move for years... decades... centuries.

A third species has been recently discovered the Maneki Neko, have also been in hiding for a long time, disguised as the beckoning cat statues and dice. They as well can be brought forward with enough care.

As the magic waned even further, it came to the point where even if the magic were to return, they would no longer be able to change back by themselves, but would need the assistance of another.

This is where I come in. Knowing the legends behind these beautiful creatures, I had amassed a collection of their reliquaries, hoping to someday be able to return these majestic creatures to life once more. On Earth, that was not an option. However, here on Gaia it most certainly is. However, by no means can I do this monumental task by myself, let alone care for these creatures, who will probably be very confused and disoriented.

There is, of course, always a catch. Since it has been so long since these creatures were their full selves, they have regressed. When they awaken, it will almost be like a rebirth for them. Much like the traditions before, kitsune, Maneki Neko and tanuki are born from normal animals. Traditionally, in order to become a magical kitsune or tanuki they must prove themselves. However, since they have already been magical, it will return to them over time, their memories and intelligence returning to them.... to a point.

In order to reach their full potential, however, is a little more tricky - and one reason why I myself cannot care for them all. They will need interaction and nurturing in order to fully reach their magical potential, and be able to shapeshift once again.
