Introduction

As some might know, and some do not know... I was hacked. Alot.
I have been at gaia for almost two years now, and untill january this year, I have always been safe. I was hacked december 31/january 1 and all my prescious items were gone. A friendly moderator helped me get them back though ^__^
Then, in april, I was hacked again.. and again.. and again. I politely asked my hacker to stop, and he did xP Oke, next problem solved. A little later, I was hacked *again* and -again- my items were gone. Then, april 30, I was hacked AGAIN. I couldn't loggin for a month, and this is where I am now. Still item-less.
I decided, to prevent anyone, ever, stealing my items again, I will hold this contest. I have been planning it for ages, but I wanted my items to be worth a little more. Now, there is no other option, so here is my contest.
When all my items are gone, at the end, no one will have a reason to hack me again.

oh, and
end date will be a a little after newyears
Sorry. I know this started in May... but it took me ages to actually get it up and running... And each category needs 10 entries to excist... So it's better this takes long than stops to excist, right? Right?!! X.x

It will end at january 4/5/6

Snow

To start with.. sorry this post looks bad.. X.x but gaia screwed up everything I wrote.

Snow is a novel I am writing. I'm at chapter 4.5 at the moment. =P edit 6.5
I am writing it in English, to improve my English (since I am Dutch...) and for things like this art contest, or comments on it from my not-Dutch friends. And simply because my Dutch sucks even more than my English xD

Snow is about ... well, I'm not sure, actually.
It's about a girl, Mist, and her best friend, Sorin. It's like... a fairytale being reality. There's some magic in it, but not the Harry Potter kind. It's the kind of magic that could be real.
The story is basically about fighting thoughts. Not knwoing what's real, not knowing what to do, wanting things but not being able to actually get them, wanting the wrong things, while believing they're right.
It's very vague and confusing (and it's supposed to be like that). Like... for example, you follow someone for 10 years, do research, and then, finally, you corner him/her, and you finally get to kill the person, and afterwards, you realize, you were on the wrong side. You murdered the good person instead of the evil.

It's called Snow, because snowflakes are so prescious. They're like shiny, glittering and very breakable jewels. And they're so sad, because in the end, they will always melt.

Now, for the art, what I want you to create, are my characters from Snow.

VERY IMPORTANT: CHANGE THE CLOTHES AS MUCH AS YOU LIKE. I LOVE FANTASY. ADD SPARKLES, DETAILS, WINGS, WHEREVER YOU LIKE.

[x] Mist
Name: Mist Niyati
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Appearance: Long, straight, light brown hair. Bright light grey eyes. Outside - Long grey coat and a long grey scarf. Dark grey jeans underneath and light grey boots.
Inside ? a simple grey T-shirt, which is way too big and she never wear is straight, so her shoulders are usually not covered, and one shoulder more than the other. Underneath the wears a thin, black, shirt, also a little too big, with multiple strings, some hang down her arms and some stay loosely on her shoulders. She wears everything completely naturally, and never bothers to put her clothes back straight. Though everything she wears is pretty big and loose, you can still see her beautiful figure. She always wears a silver necklace with a snowflake pendant. She?s a little longer than an average person.
Optional: Change her outfit to whatever you like, add as much detail as you want. Just remember the clothes are basically too big, and not in bright colours, but dreamy colours.
Character: Intelligent and silent. She is very un-logical in doing things, and loves learning. One important thing: she can't talk. As in, can't speak, isn't able to make any sound.

"At 7 o clock the sun shining outside woke her up. Sleepily she shook her head and rolled out of her bed. She picked up her clothes from the couch and walked downstairs, tripping every other step. She reached the bathroom, but walked into the wall next to the door first before swinging herself inside. She threw some water in her face, immediately clearing her vision and waking her up. She put on the clothes and carefully brushed her hair. She discovered she forgot to get socks, but to her surprise there was a pair of long black socks laying under the sink. She didn’t know if they were clean, but they didn’t smell bad, so she put them on anyway. She almost danced out of the bathroom again while brushing her teeth, and found her boots in the kitchen."

Name: Melisia of Lake Niyati
Species - Mermaid
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Appearance: Black-purple hair that reaches her chest. Dark purple eyes.
On land - Her breasts are bare, but covered with blue silver and purple scales. She usually wears a few (4?) short pieces of transparant fabric around her waist, coloured blue purple gray and optionally turqoise covered by one big transparant purple piece that falls down to her feet. She wears alot of jewelry (silver) but not the noise kind of bracelets and things. She has a black star-shaped tattoo at the left side of her belly, at the heighth of her belly button. (no, not on it, but next to it.)
In the water - She has a long beautiful silver-purple tail instead of the skirt.
Optional: Change her outfit to whatever you like, add as much detail as you want. Just remember she has a tail in the water and likes wearing transparant and exposing clothing on the land xP
Character: Very smart and silent. She never reveals her secrets. She has a way of walking silently and talking mysteriously...

"Melisia dissappeared underwater. After a few seconds she emerged from the water and flew trough the air, followed by a fantastic glittering silver-purple tail. She splashed back into the water and appeared near Mist again.
Mist wanted to ask her so many things, or just scream in surprise, but she couldn?t.

Name: Sorin Hikaru
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Appearance: His father comes from Japan. (so he?s half Japanese) Not too short, dark brown hair. Warm dark brown eyes. Outside ? Black jacket, and a big black scarf. Black jeans underneath and black sport shoes.
Inside ? Loosely wearing a plain, black, long, T-shirt, showing he?s pretty thin. He also always wears a silver necklace with a snowflake pendant. His length is exactly like the average person.
Optional: Colour O.o Mainly red. You can change the design of his clothes as you like, just remember the colours are generally black and red. Not the mean, evil kind though. Sweet black and red ^.^
Character: Always having fun and laughing, but is also very serious and intelligent. (though he tends not to show that).

"It blasted open and Sorin ran into her bathroom. After one look at her, he noticed she wasn’t wearing anything and bounced to the corner of the bathroom, sitting down on the floor.
“I, err… ran into your door.” He started a little helpless. Mist noticed he wasn’t planning on leaving and frowned. Sorin jumped up. “I’m sorry! I err, should wait… yeah… clothes?” This time Mist smiled at him. It was hilarious to see him confused like that.
“I don’t mind. You can stay.”
“Oh, good.” He said, and sat down again, blushing heavily."

Appearance: Looks exactly like Sorin.
Also wears the same as Sorin, but then in bright colours. (loves to wear white too)
Optional: You can change the design of his clothes as you like, just remember the colours are generally white and red.
Character: Always having fun and laughing, but is also very serious and intelligent. (though he tends not to show that). He always feels alone and left out.

"The clouds moved away from the moon and lit the bench. It was empty. Then he turned to his right and looked right into Koray?s eyes. Sorin fell backwards from the bench and softly landed in the snow after making a small somersault. Koray got up and looked down at him.
?Did I scare you?? He smiled.
Sorin grabbed the bench for support and got up. ?No, of course not!?
?Yes I did.? Koray smiled.
?Oke, you did? a little.? Sorin admitted.
Koray put his arm around Sorin?s waist and pulled him away, leaving the park.
?Come on big brother, forget about Mist. Why do you always need to be with her? How about having some fun with me?"

Gender: Female
Age: 71
Appearance: Very short but strong women. Eyes are a vibrant blue colour. She doesn?t look old at all, and she doesn?t act like it, though she is very aware of her age. She usually wears a long light blue skirt, with a white flower pattern at the bottom, and in winter a white, very soft looking, sweater. She also wears warm white boots. Has shoulder length silver-white hair, usually tied up it one or two braids, or in a complicated bun on her head.
Optional: Soft clothes. Soft skirts, soft sweaters, in soft colours.
Character: Very friendlt and intelligent.

"Mist picked up Helena’s mail (which Sira, the girl who brought it, always clumsily dropped on the doormat, even when it snowed). She carried the mail inside and let it fall on the kitchen table. She got a kettle from Helena’s closet and filled it with water, then she got teabags, two white cups with little pink flowers on it, spoons, and sugar and milk in cans matching the cups while the tea cooked. Mist went outside again and passed by Helena just on her way in.
“Thank you dear.” Helena said, before pulling Sira after her inside and closing the door."

Appearance: Long waving white hair, and a long white beard and moustache. Vibrant sky-blue eyes, behind small golden glasses. He wears a red dress with wide sleeves. At his middle he wears a golden belt, covered with beautiful red stones. The bottom of his dress is decorated with golden swirls. Wears a silver-grey cape, at the bottom decorated with the same swirls, but then white. Underneath his dress are simple dark red sandals visible. He wears a silver necklace with a big snowflake pendant.
Optional: Colours. Basically yellow and red-like, but you can mix a little.
Character: He?s very funny, intelligent and has a lot of energy. Though he?s also very clumsy.

“We do…”
“To save the world, destroy in world, make breakfast faster… Those are all answers we have gotten over the years.” Pheadrus said.
“So, what are we supposed to do then?” Sorin asked.
“That’s for to you to find out.”
“You wouldn’t mind if I’d destroy the world?”
“It would be unfair to the other people here… But there are many other worlds, you wouldn’t destroy us, and we would just continue living.” Phaedrus said.
“Were you planning on doing so then?” Elysess replied.
“No, of course not.” Sorin answered.

Name: Elysses
Gender: Female
Age: unknown
Appearance: Very long hair, wavy, almost curly, some locks tied up in braids. Starts light blonde at the top and ends in a blue-silver at the bottom. Light blue eyes. Wears a long, light blue dress, the ?sleeves? existing out tied up pieces of the fabric hanging loosely at her shoulders, going down it shows her rather big breasts. Further down the fabric starts getting a darker shade of blue, and it ends flowing and waving at her feet. She wears a piece of the fabric her dress is made of around her waist, showing how thin she is. Wears simple dark pink shoes, just pieces of material tied to her feet with strings, which are tied up again just below her knees. She also wears a dark pink cape, made of a lot of transparent layers. She has a swirling dark blue tattoo, starting at her shoulder and going down turning into just a line, covering all of her right arm and a part of her hand. She wears a silver necklace with a big snowflake pendant, and she also wears a silver bracelet.
Optional: Again, the colours. Change them as you like, as long as there is alot of blue and some pink.
Character: Usually acts very light and bright though she is very strong-willed and quickly irritated, but also has a good sense of humor.

“No.” She replied shortly, but smiling.

Name: Sira
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Appearance: Black hear, always mixed with another colour, or two. Usually tied up in two tails, but sometimes different. (outside) She wears tight yellow coat and a light blue scarf decorated with some golden beads. Underneath a short black skirt, and black boots, on her left leg a long blue sock and on her right leg a yellow, then, underneath those socks are also two black and green striped socks visible, reaching until her skirt. Two tiny green earrings exactly match her sparkling light-green eyes.
Optional Different bright colours, and alot of layers (Japanese fashion?), have fun designing something new.
Character: Very happy and active. She?s very clumsy, but very sweet, so no one minds. She?s very good at almost all sports.

"Mist knew enough. She gave Sira the paper and walked away. She turned around once, and she saw the paper flying away again. Though this time Alexander helped Sira get it back, and they were laughing together.
Mist didn’t know who would still want to read that newspaper, since it was in pretty bad shape now, and she smiled at the thought of Walters face when seeing it."

Gender: Female
Age: 28
Appearance: Very long (reaches past her waist) red brown hair. Light brown-orange, almost yellow eyes.
(outside) She wears a lose light pink dress, reaching until her feet, and an extremely long white scarf wrapped around her neck, and falling down until her knees.
Optional: Long skirts or dresses... pink or light-brown-ish colours.
Character: Very helpful and always busy. She?s very good at being at three places at the same time. She loves her job. (she owns a grocery store)

"Mist entered the grocery store, threw some coins at the counter, picked out an apple, and left again. She was on her way back to her house when Saranna walked into her.
“Is the apple allright?” She almost shouted, broadly smiling at her.

And then Saranna ran off again."

Age: 3
Appearance: Curly dark brown hair. Sky-blue eyes.
Optional: Any cute outfit. She likes to wear strange hats, and pretty dresses.
Character: Very playful and helpful, is always trying to help her mother.
* Saranna is not her real mother. She was found when she was a little baby, and Saranna adopted her.

Character: Very shy. He?s really handsome though he isn?t quite sure of himself. He?s very like-able.

“I’m so sorry Mist!” He blushed. (again… Mist thought)
“I was watching Tameko, because Saranna went to Sky this afternoon to play games with him, because Lilith went to Alexa to try out new recipies… and…”
Mist silently laughed.
“…and I wanted to talk to you. I mean, just quick. I saw you trough the window. What are you doing here?”
Mist wasn’t quite sure how to talk to him. So she nodded and hoped he would be satisfied with that answer.
“Oh, I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to ask that… Can I just ask you something? Err, something else I mean… About…” He blushed and turned his head away, grabbing Mists arm and pulling her with him to the grocery store."

“Sorin, I wonder… Who died?” Mist asked him. Suddenly he sat down again, within seconds he went from hyper to sad.
“I don’t know Mist. I’m not sure I want to know.” He answered.
“I think, I would like to know. What if the next pages tell us, who will die? And maybe they even know when!” Tears appeared in her eyes.
“I don’t want to discover you’ll suddenly drop dead in front of my door in five days!” She jumped up. Sorin got up again too.
“It doesn’t matter Mist! We wouldn’t be able to change that anyway!” He said, loudly.
“We can’t do anything about it Mist!”
“Yes we can! Phaedrus said we can change everything!”
“We can’t change death!”
“We have to!” Mist cried.
She dragged him to the door. “You have to go now.” She told him, unable to look at him. She put her hands on his chest, wanting to push him away, but she couldn’t find the strength to do so.
“You can’t make this go away Mist!” Sorin said while she manged to slowly push him outside. She knew she couldn’t change it, but it didn’t stop her from trying. She had to do something! She walked after him, outside. Both not wearing a coat, while the temperature was below zero. It was dark, around ten o clock already, the streetlights lighting the snow. Sorin looked at her. His eyes were filled with anger and sadness. Mist didn’t know he was feeling that way, because in his heart, he agreed with her.

“There is… this girl I like! But I don’t know if she likes me, or how to tell her, or what to do. Please help me?!”
Alexander was eighteen years old, but he was capable of making himself twelve again. He had blonde spikey hair, blue eyes, looking trough dark-blue glasses. He was really handsome, but also very shy, making him very cute.
Well, who is it you like so much then?Mist wrote down.
“Sira! Do you want something to drink? I’ll get you something to drink.” And he ran off.
Mist already knew he was going to say Sira, but she couldn’t help and ask him anyway, just to see his reaction. Feeling guilty she took the glass with water from him.
Alexander sat down again. “Do you think… she’s interested in me?”
Yes.Mist wrote down resolutely. The truth was that she had no idea, but she knew Sira, and she knew Sira would love it if a guy told her he “liked” her, especially someone older than herself. She would automatically like him back just because of that.

FAQ

[x]When does the contest end?
Read second post.

[x]Can I enter more than one entry?
Yes. Just don't expect to win six times, when entering six entries. That wouldn't be fair.

[x]Is there a limit of entries you accept?
I'd like atleast five entries for each character, or more, before the contest ends. But to answer the question, there is no limit, draw away!

[x]Can I enter pixel art?
Yes! Definately! But if you can, give base credit in the picture itself.

[x]Can I enter written art?
I'm so sorry... crying But I don't see how... Since this contest is about something I'm writing... I can't let anyone else write it, can I?
I'm still thinking about a solution... maybe I'll make something up for this later ^^

[x]Can I enter songs/music
Yes, I love music. It's inspiring. Just no poems allright? That belongs to writing again.
