Welcome to my contest!

I had a wonderful time with my last contest, and I've been really looking foward to having a new one. So now that I have a bit more time in my schedule, and as the long, dark winter looms closer and forces me indoors to hibernate, here we are again!

This time I have even bigger and better prizes to entice you, so please join! I love the variety and the creativity I get when people aren't given specific guidelines for the art, so I can't wait to see what you'll come up with. whee

Please read through the thread carefully, paying special attention to the rules and guidelines. Feel free to ask me any questions you have, perferably by posting in the thread.

There is no entry fee!

DO NOT PM ME SUBMISSIONS. I also commission art, and sometimes (awesome) people randomly give me art. So to avoid confusion, and to make absolutely sure that your entry is counted, post it in this thread. If I do not see it after a day, then please repost or quote your original post. I will not be responsible if PMed entries are not counted, because you will be disregarding my guidelines.

When submitting entries, please use the following form:

Contest Rules and Guidelines

Welcome to my art contest! Please read through this section first before you do anything else! If your art does not fit the guidelines it will be disqualified, and we don't want that!

Basic Stuff!

Art will be disqualified if it does not meet the guidelines listed here. So read them well!
No Drama! I know that people can get their hopes up for contests and that people can be very competitive. However, please keep personal issues out of the thread.
Multiple submissions by the same person are permitted, and it is possible to win in multiple catagories.
The art must be your own. Submitting stolen or copied art is art theft and scamming, and will be dealt with accordingly.
No submitting art you have already done for me and given to me.
If you have already done art for me you can absolutely still enter, just not with the art you did (see above). ^^
I would prefer you post any submissions here, however if you would really rather not post it here, or if I miss your submission some how, you may PM it to me.
Please be polite. Ask any questions you have by posting.
The entries gallery will not be updated the very second you post your entry. I will often upload the entries in batches, so please be patient. If several days have gone by and you do not see your entry, then please repost it politely.

Art Specific Guidelines!

The art must be of one of the characters or avatars provided in this thread.
Poses and situations can be of any style, from chibi to realism, comedy to drama. Sexy/seductive poses are acceptable, however please keep everything within the limits laid out in this thread.
Group entries must include one of my avatars and at least one of my friends avatars, if not more.
Art does not need to be colored. Sketches, screentones, and black and white are accepted.
I accept art of all medias and love all equally. If you feel you do better in paint or pencil than CG, than by all means do that instead. I would love to get variety and natural media in the submissions, not just CG.
I like many styles of art. I do not have a preference for wide-eyed anime style. I like fantasty style, realism, chibi, pixel, anime, american comic style, everything you can think of. Again, I would love variety.
I will accept dolls. However, you must credit your bases. I will not accept dolls made with candybar doll makers or any other kind of doll maker. Everything you put on the doll base must be original, and all bases must be credited. They must also be doll bases that the creators allow free use of.
I will accept collaborations, however both parties must agree to the submission. Should you win, you must also select one of you to recieve the prize, or if it is more than one letter how you would like them sent. I am not responsible if your partner is not trustworthy and takes your part of the prize.
Judging will be done by myself, possibly with some consulting of my friends. I will not consult any friends who submit art to the contest. Nor will I give any friends preferential treatment. Prizes will be awarded for the art, not who made the art.
I may be adding some other small catagories or suprise catagories in the end. So you never know what may come up!

Reference images used are not contest entries.

By popular demand, my current hair style can be used in place of the style in the avatars! That is the long, red curly style on my current avatar.

Characters

Icy Nora

Although she was inspired by a gaia avatar, I've since modified her even more, and she has become more of an OC, and one of the characters I love to commission art of the most.

She should have a dragon pattern or design on her dress, and the dress and halo details can be done in either gold or silver. Her gauntlet design can vary from being more cybernetic to fingers of pure ice.

For personality, think a reflection of the icy theme, very cool and collected and rather distant, although she is still understanding and can be very compassionate, although still in a remote way. However, don't let the halo fool you, she has a wicked streak that can come out, sometimes when you least expect it. ninja

One day Nora bought the sacred leaf. Messing around, she equipped it with her panda hat, and then got an idea. And thus her leaf-eating panda hat was born! The panda should be drawn in some variation of eating the leaf. It does not have to be eating it in the same style as the examples.

Draw as many yeti as you want, looking as a adorable and fuzzy as can be! Feel free to move them about, you don't need to stick to just their positions on the avatar. I'd prefer the scarf not cover her face, but feel free to play around otherwise!

Inspired by Kitana from Mortal Kombat. She should be ready to walk from a formal ball to a battle at the drop of a hat! Her fan is beautiful, but deadly. If drawing one fan, please make it blue. If drawing two fans, please make both fans blue. Formal or fighting poses are loved!

Avatars for Group Pictures

Group art can be anything from just me and a friend to a big, complicated scene showing all of us!

Any of my avatars may be used in combination with these, however please do not use my OC Nora. Entries must have at least me and one friend to be eligible for the group catagory. Tiny versions, such as me holding a friend plushie, are not eligible.

Included are short descriptive terms about them to give you ideas about how to draw them! Friendly describes my relationship with all of them, so nothing perverted (except maybe anlina.) >.>
