Jun.01.05 - No, we did not close or vanish, we've just been busy. We truly are trying to get all growings done and all, but it's a bit much to do all at once. Rest assured, growings will be the only thing going on here and after that there'll be a major flatsale.
May.18.05 - Gah, we're just in time to salvage all of our information. @___@ It seems that posts that have the message offline thing are permantly deleted.

Anyway, we haven't been doing nothing in the past time. We held an angelic and a demonic auction, as well as the first of the FFX auctions. Yuna, Rikku and Paine were auctioned off and found some new owners.
Next up will be another FFX auction starring Tidus, Wakka and Auron.

We have also removed the RP rules because we're tired of running after people. We're currently trying to sort everything out, make all the growings, etc. We'll then hold a huge flatsale and start to make the shop successful.

1. No god-modding. God-modding is when your pet/character/persona is utterly untouchable and you refuse to let actions from other players apply to yourself while forcing your actions onto others. This is the person who, during a roleplayed action sequence, goes:

2. Don't control someone else's character. There is no faster way to cheese off a roleplayer than to take control of their character without their permission. This is when, during roleplay, someone scripts out an interaction between their own character and someone else's character entirely on their own without the other person's imput to make the RP work in their favor.

Q: How do I pronounce Pearlaice?

Q: How do i get a Pearlaice?
A: You have to be here for a flatsale, win one in an auction, or be given one by me. If you ask for one to be given to you, you will not get one. I decide who gets a free one.

Q: How fast will my Pearlaice grow?
A: A few weeks between each stage. RPers stages will always be done first. But eventually everything will be grown. If you are an RPer, please go to the guild and post in the growings post whether you are ready for your Pearlaice to grow.

Q: Are there extra perks for RPers?
A: Of course there are. There are additional stages for the Pearlaice that can only be reached through quests and RPing. This is the evolved mode and is very nifty. The pearlaice will have extra items and nice goodies the normal Pearlaice won't be able to get.

Q: Another Pearlaice owner has a certificate that is a different color than mine. Does that make it more special?
A: Depending on the main color of your Pearlaice determines what color certificate I give you. They're all the same otherwise.

Q: It's been a long time since I have seen my Pearlaice advance to the next stage of growth. How come?
A: There might be numerous reasons. You're always welcome to post a polite inquiry in the thread and we'll get back to you.

Because we're such wimps and we didn't actually enforced the roleplaying rule, it is no longer required. We would really love to see you do it, though, it would make us happy to see your face around here once in a while. This place is pretty deserted.

<center>Culture of the Pearlaice

The culture of the Pearlaice is rather simple. Most Pearlaice are very easy to please. Food they eat include; fish, shark meat, fish eggs, and whatever their guardian might bring for them from their own lands.

The Pearlaice are mostly peaceful creatures. Some fights to break out, but nothing too major. Once Pearlaice find their mates, they are for life.

For houses, they mostly stay in shells at the bottom of the water, where they sleep and such. The shells might be the ones they were born in, or just a random one they found that they claim for themselves. These shells are all centered around the palace, which is a pretty big and impressive building where the King and Queen live. It is open for all to visit and sleep, though.

They have no religon. They have no god.

The usually don't wear any type of clothing. Jewelry sometimes, but it is rather rare.

There are several kinds of powers a Pearlaice can have. These range from the simple elemental magic, to the power of telekinesis or telepathy. The powers of the Pearlaice, lay deep within them and can only be unlocked if they manage to evolve into their final god or goddess form. Usually the powers are refined but sometimes there are exceptions. Not all of the powers will be useful under the water.

Only after a long and hard quest filled with hardships will they earn their reward.

The captain of the guard. Very rough and weathered, has fought in many battles and has won them all. He's also the commander of the army and in charge during disasters. Thanks to him, the majority of the population survived during the Great Sinking of so long ago. Although the King still has surpreme authority, ? is very mighty and powerful.
He's also very fair and kind and does not abuse his power.

Over 11,000 years ago there existed an island nation located in the middle of the Atlantic ocean populated by a noble and powerful race. The people of this land possessed great wealth thanks to the natural resources found throughout their island. The island was a center for trade and commerce. The rulers of this land held sway over the people and land of their own island and well into Europe and Africa.

This was the island of Atlantis.

Atlantis was the domain of Poseidon, god of the sea. When Poseidon fell in love with a mortal woman, Cleito, he created a dwelling at the top of a hill near the middle of the island and surrounded the dwelling with rings of water and land to protect her.

Cleito gave birth to five sets of twin boys who became the first rulers of Atlantis. The island was divided among the brothers with the eldest, Atlas, first King of Atlantis, being given control over the central hill and surrounding areas.

At the top of the central hill, a temple was built to honor Poseidon which housed a giant gold statue of Poseidon riding a chariot pulled by winged horses. It was here that the rulers of Atlantis would come to discuss laws, pass judgments, and pay tribute to Poseidon..

To facilitate travel and trade, a water canal was cut through of the rings of land and water running south for 5.5 miles (~9 km) to the sea.

The city of Atlantis sat just outside the outer ring of water and spread across the plain covering a circle of 11 miles (1.7 km). This was a densely populated area where the majority of the population lived.

Beyond the city lay a fertile plain 330 miles (530 km) long and 110 miles (190 km) wide surrounded by another canal used to collect water from the rivers and streams of the mountains. The climate was such that two harvests were possible each year. One in the winter fed by the rains and one in the summer fed by irrigation from the canal.

Surrounding the plain to the north were mountains which soared to the skies. Villages, lakes, rivers, and meadows dotted the mountains.

Besides the harvests, the island provided all kinds of herbs, fruits, and nuts. An abundance of animals, including elephants, roamed the island.

For generations the Atlanteans lived simple, virtuous lives. But slowly they began to change. Greed and power began to corrupt them. When Zeus saw the immorality of the Atlanteans he gathered the other gods to determine a suitable punishment.

Soon, in one violent surge it was gone. The island of Atlantis, its people, and its memory were swallowed by the sea. The punishment was placed on the people once they were under water. Their punishment: to become merpeople. So, they grew tails, the could breath under water. They were forever banished as the Pearlaice.

Shell
The shell is the earliest stage of a Pearlaice. Depending on the personality of the Pearlaice, the shell is either very active or just dormant. This stage is not yet RP-required.
Duration: one to two weeks

Child
The child is a very active and full of life. Usually they are very curious and they love exploring the seacaverns. Be sure to keep an eye on them, they might stray too far from the kingdom and be in danger. There are many dangerous creatures lurking in the sea.

Adult
The adult Pearlaice can still be as carefree as a child, although wiser and more experienced with the dangers lurking in the sea.
Duration: Forever.... or is it?

Evolved
This is an evolved Pearlaice, very rare and therefore held in high regard. Children born to an evolved Pearlaice will also be evolved as their adult stage. These will be very wise and will possess certain powers. A Pearlaice can only evolve after it has gone through many trials and hardships, proving themselves worthy to the ancient, Greek gods. If they reach this stage, they will be redeemed and be granted immortality.

These are the companions of a Pearlaice, they will protect them from danger, although often not a match for it, they will give anything they have to save their charge.



<center>Water Fairies

The water fairies are tiny creatures that can be seen fluttering all through the Pearlaice Kingdom. They titter and chat a lot and are very happy and mischievious creature. Often Pearlaice children can be seen befriending one. These are usually friendships for life, as the fairies are very loyal towards their 'charges'. They start to see the Pearlaice as friends or protegees.

The usual size of an adult fairy is roughly the size of an adult Pearlaice head, while the children are about half the size of the adult fairies.

Powers
The water fairies possess certain powers, unlike the regular Pearlaice. They have their own brand of magic, which constitutes of


  • minor healing ; they can heal minor injuries a Pearlaice may sustain when out in the open and will be able to keep one alive until a medi arrives.

  • light telepathy ; they can talk telephatically to every other water fairy. It is very rare for a bond like this to form between a Pearlaice and a fairy, but it does happen ocassionally.

  • agility and speed ; because they are so small, they are very nimble. They use their wings to manoevre very quickly through the water. These also enable them to fly outside of the water.

  • small energy blasts ; because they are so small, they are easy preys. This is why they are able to shoot small energy blasts towards their enemy. This can temporarily blind or stun them, creating a diversion for the fairy to run. These aren't very powerful and aren't able to kill or seriously injure something.

Behaviour
Fairies are usually very mischievious, loyal, friendly, kind and secretive about their powers. They love to get youngsters in trouble as long as it's nothing serious. When serious harm threatens to overcome their friends, they'll try everything to stop it, and Awill even go as far as to sacrifice themselves.

Child
Nobody really knows where fairies come from. What is known, is that they are buzzing all throug Atlantis, and can be very annoying. Children are usually the easiest to befriend, while the adults look on from a distance to poke fun at situations or stir up trouble. These children are the easiest to befriend as they are bolder.

Teen
Being somewhat wiser than the younger ones, they aren't as rash as they once were and like to keep their distance from the Pearlaice. They are much, much more powerful than the young ones and can do more. They are still very mischievious.

Waterfairies will be for sale during Special Events and regular flatsales for the price of 2k. These can be bought by non-Pearlaice owners.

They watch over the pearlaice, and are much like any loyal dog would be. Following their Owner around the pools...Their special abilities, that we have found out with some research, are they are able to breathe underwater, and walk atop the water with little or no problems at all.

These are very strange fox-like creatures...We are not yet sure how they are able to breathe underwater, but it may be that they evolved to live like the Pearlaice. These creatures are fully breedable--and, from what I can see, they grow with their owner. Starting out as puppy-like creatures with three tails...every stage they gain a few tails.

Male and female species have their own characteristics--and different stages of growth. There are three different elements of these Guardians...Demonic, Angelic, and Fairy.

These creatures will be ocassionally put up for flatsale or auction. Non-Owners may purchase them ONLY if they are RPed regularly in the guild.

Another companion to the Pearlaice, they stick around everywhere and are very good at exploring. As they age along with the Pearlaice, they tend to calm down and hang around more, warning their charge as it does stupid things.

They usually take after their Pearlaice, forming a sort of weird connection, their appearance alters when that of the Pearlaice does.

These creatures are available only to owners and cost 1k. Just PM Pearlaice to order one.

<center>Breeding

To breed, a Pearlaice must have a mate first. They can only have one mate because of the bond they develope. If their mate has passed on or has left for good, then the bond they have developed may weaken with time, and they will be able to bond themselves to another person.

To breed, the two Pearlaice involved go to the Palace, where the King and Queen will use a ritual to get the female Pearlaice pregnant. After two weeks, they will have to return to the King and Queen and they will perform another ritual that will form and bring out the shells. These will be placed under the mother's care.

When the shells hatch into children. The parents may decide to:

1. Keep the children themselves.
2. Give it away to a friend.

The maximum number of shells to be received will vary from 1 - 3. It is usually one shell, but the other numbers aren't unheard of.

The price of a breeding will be: 6k, costs may be divided how the owners wish.

    GEN 1
    The first generation of Pearlaice, made by Captain Livera and Nikui before the re-organisation. The certs may say something else, but from now on these are the first generation.

    GEN 2
    All of new Pearlaice made after the re-organisation and all children from the GEN 1's.

    GEN 3
    Children of which at least ONE parent is a GEN 2, and so on.

    #-GC (x)
    Guest Color by (first letter of name here) # stands for GEN number

    #-Raffle
    Pearlaice won in a raffle, the # stands for the GEN number.

    #-C-#
    A custom, followed by the number of it. The counting may be irregular because we started to count after the re-organisation. The first number is the GEN number.

    #-EG
    The number is the GEN number. EG means: Evolved Goddess, a special goddess that has control over several of the elemental powers.

    #-Cosplay
    A cosplay Pearlaice.

    #-Special
    A Pearlaice that is given out for any reason, to friends or whatnot. The # indicates the GEN number.

    #-GDxC
    GEN number followed by the breeding numbers. In this case: Goddess x Cosplay.
