In a land far, far away...You enter the bleak city you've read about everywhere yet never visited, with a shudder. It's cold. Dark. Gloomy. It seems like a place no creature or human could ever prosper in. The clouds are beautiful shades of blue, gray, and purple, however, and they draw you in. You find a discarded umbrella on the ground, pick it up, and open it to shield yourself from the pitterpattering rain. To your surprise, a small furry thing plops down onto your head and squeaks as water touches it. "Get away! Gimme my breller!" it shouts, and smacks you in the face with its tail.
After a couple brief moments of confusion, the little furball declares itself a "Rainlet" and decides to take pity on your soul and show you around the city. The buildings all seem decrepit with erosion, but you hear... music playing, and people laughing. The Rainlet brings you into a nearby inn, and you gasp at all the... creatures. There's at least twenty furry little beings talking and playing music and generally making merry. And the umbrellas.. everyone had one! Some had different colors, some had markings. And the bigger ones had raincoats. You're amazed by them, and want to join in... How can a race constantly bombarded by rain be so happy?
