D...estiny (Story)

Deep in the heart of Chinatown lies an unassuming little shop, elegant and set back from the street. It, perhaps, does not look like much from out there...but to one who is not familiar with the ways of Chinatown, I suppose it probably looks like all the other buildings. Funny how that happens, isn't it? People are so quick to judge....

However...many people have found their way down the little flight of stairs...and many have opted to step inside. Some of them might have been mere tourists, or a citizen of the big city, seeking some adventure. A few of them had heard the name of the shop whispered in social company...and a few of them had heard of me.

More precisely, I suppose I should say that they had heard of my grandfather. I am merely here in his stead, standing watch over the shop while he is away conducting business in parts unknown. It's only natural that they would confuse me with him...we do, after all, share a name and a strong family resemblance.

Dear me...am I really boring you that much? I suppose you aren't asking me of family history...but you need to learn to slow down. The world is spinning plenty quickly without people pushing themselves along the surface even faster. But, still, you are correct...I haven't answered your question.

...Well, then, to the point...I run a pet shop. Now, now, don't laugh. I am being quite serious. You've never heard of a pet shop in Chinatown? Well, you're certainly not the first. But what I sell is...exceptionally unique. Why don't you step inside? I'll make some tea....

...And we can see if I have what you are looking for.

D...emands (Rules)

1. Follow these.
2. NO WHINING AND BEGGING. >.< Please.
3. Play nice, or we reserve the right to greylist you. Go further, and we reserve the right to blacklist you.
4. WE WILL NOT DENY SOMEONE A PET UNLESS THEY HAVE DONE SOMETHING TO US PERSONALLY. You have to go pretty far to actually deserve a blacklisting, and otherwise, there will be equal treatment.
5. NO GODMODDING. I mean that. xd
6. Literate RP, please...no l337 or chtspk. sweatdrop
7: Please be polite when entering an RP
8: Don't assume -anything- about someone elses charicter. Always ask.


CUSTOM RULES:

There ARE rules on customs. Certain creatures will be restricted, as follows:

Characters from the manga MAY NOT be purchased by customs. These will be sold specially, via auctions and/or contests.

The following creatures, to avoid overpopulation, MAY NOT be bought in regular customs:

Phoenix, Dragons, Toutetsu, Kitsune, Kirin. Cats will be very popular, I know, so PLEASE, for sanity's sake, try and make them interesting - pick a breed, don't just say "cat." xd

COSPLAYS ARE ALLOWED, since the animals manifest according to the person who owns them, but no repeats, please.

------------------Pricing--------------------------------------------------------

To standardize the pricing past the Basic custom stage...for ALL artists...this is how it will stand.

COSPLAY - 600k - (Complain as you might but it takes a great deal of research to make these the most accurate we can...on top of this they have become FAR to neumerous and we are going to cut back)

RESTRICTED ANIMAL- (These slots will be opened ONLY after a conversation between Ende and the Artist wishing to open a slot...NOT becuase you asked. These slots may ONLY be purchased with Items of the value of Deviltails, Miniwings, and up or the Gold equivilent.)

CANNON CHARICTER - (The Same price as the Restricted animals, Possibly MORE depending on the popularity of the charicter. They will ONLY be approved with a test on your knowledge of the charicter. They MUST be aproved by Ende or Vincira before sale. Slots WILL NOT be authorised otherwise)

D...estination (RP Information)

OKAY - so here's the rundown for RP info.

Most of the RP will take place here, in the shop. "Count D" DOES NOT have to be present to RP! PLEASE remember that! After all, the man is busy...pets to care for in the back.

Getting a Pet

When you first "buy" your pet (win a flatsale, auction, raffle, custom, etc), you must come in for an interview with D. Please remember...the Count is a very sharp man. One who can spot what you need, once you have spoken enough....

So on THAT note, the way most flatsales will work: if you win, you get an interview with D. BASED ON THIS INTERVIEW, it's decided what kind of animal you'll get.

Now, don't think you can just say "I like kitties" and get one. And no heavy, heavy hinting to a particular animal. Hinting is okay to an extent...but I wouldn't say no to mentioning TRAITS...ie, you can't say "Spiders are beautiful creatures" and expect one. D might instead see that you find beauty in unusual places, and get you something else. HOWEVER, I would accept something along the lines of "I live in the fast lane and would like something that could keep up." Still fairly broad, but gives an idea.

What you get is going to be based on what you say...and D might pick something obscure, so be mindful. If you win an auction or get a custom, of course, the content of this interview is largely irrelevant. Still fun, though. xd

Once D has decided on your pet, you get Stage 1 - the contract. After a little while, you get the actual pet, and THIS is where you NEED to take care. How you treat them in this stage DIRECTLY AFFECTS the third stage. Lotsa different possibilities...so be creative!

And how to get the fourth stage? No matter what happens, STICK AROUND. Be loyal to the shop, keep coming around...and watch what happens THEN!

The Incense Burner Thread

With each pet comes an "Incense Burner." Basically, the way THIS works is as a VERY open-ended journal.

ICly, you are given an incense burner and a supply of incense. The FUN part about this is that you can "set up" your incense burner where you like - by a notepad (if you want to journal), in a room (if you want to RP in there)...basically, the thread is there to set up however you like. If you can't come RP in the shop, it's a good way to keep up with the requirements, too.

Things about your uncomon crested Thalion - A beautiful beast...I type of Gryphon in truth...though within the walls of the shop it can appear as a human...sometimes male...sometimes female...cat footed and tailed with great wings.
We captured this beast with promices of white fluffies and chocolate cake with plenty of viewings of Narnia.

The Thalion customs are 100k each.

Things about Ryugen: In the ancient mountains of New England there dwelled a fearsome firebreathing creature called -RYUGEN!-
Braving the terrible wastes and great snow covered feilds...going where only an car with all wheel drive might go..
We found the great Ryugen and brought her back -HERE- to draw for us!
She helps to guard this shop against flamers with her ferocious vocabulary and surgical verbal skills!

Ryugen: (How to Identify) - Briliant red eyes are her most consistant feature...her mane shifts from red do brown depending on her mood... Don't let her ability to appear human fool you...when enraged she becomes a great white Dragon Ny as big as her couson Honlon.
Brought forth from the dreams of mountan snow and memorys of asia...she is a beautiful long serpantine creature in her most natural state...albino in nature with pearl like claws.. If she's happy...you might call her a luck dragon...if she's not?...well...Bad luck is still luck.

White Arsenic - Noun - Definition: A beastly critter, currently trapped in her human form. She's just waiting for someone to do just the right wrong thing so she can change back... but she realizes it may never happen. Her interests are artwork, sleeping, animating, and rending the flesh from things she doesn't like -- specifically rabbits. She fondly dislikes stupidity, alcohol, and drugs, and considers any who partake in them fair game. Also on her list of despised objects are college, which, she feels, eats up too much of her life.

White Arsenic can be recognized in her human form by her glowing orange-brown eyes that shift colors commonly, and a mane of brown-red hair. Her fingers do not bare the normal nails of a human: rather, her nails are more claw-like. She adores her top hat and her black goggles with a white swirl in their middle. Often wearing black, the being will rarely be seen in anything colorful.
