User ImageInside Sunstrike's shop, mild chaos reigns. His pet seems to be ingesting something from one of the shelves, and Sunstrike himself fights desperately to wrench it from the cat-like creature's jaws.

"Oh, hullo!" he says, allowing himself a momentary smile before lunging after the animal once more. "Welcome to my small domain in this little enterprise. In case you can't tell-" Here his words are interrupted by a gentle "Oof!" as in a last desperate dive he pins the animal down and retrieves a (rather slobbery) oblong egg. "This one cost me quite a pretty penny," he remarks in an aside to you, drying the egg off and shooing the pet outside.

Replacing the egg in its artificial nest, he continues his conversation from earlier. "I provide exotic pets from all three continents. Don't feel compelled to buy now, if you don't see anything you're interested in or you're a bit short on cash. My stock changes from time to time. But if you DO see something you like, get it now; some of these may be one-of-a-kind."
Caer glanced around blandly, seeming less than impressed. "Is this why all the secrecy abounds?" Observing the several rows, his eyes narrowed. "Why three rows set by alignment? Afraid the evil will snack upon the less fortunate?"

{{Hehe. I was wondering, can we buy for another if it is storyline driven?}}
Kotaru looked around the shop curiously. "This is fantastic. I must have taken you a while to find all of these." He moved closer to a shelf eyeing it's contents. He spotted Caer and gave a friendly wave. Looks like he wasn't the only one who had stumbled upon this place.

Raven's jaw dropped. For once, he was glad that he'd followed instead of yapped, and look where it got him! Eggs, plants, a cross... what were all of these?

Walking up to the display, his eyes first went to the egg, and then to the plant beside it, and then ran over everything else.

"These are... pets, right? Are each of them different, or are they the same with different strains?" He tilted his head, wishing to reach out and touch the egg.
Brifin walked in wondering what this was about. He glanced towards the shelf and its colorful array of....things. He didn't know what they were, what they were for, what they did. Wait....he did see Eragon handing a few over to Sunstrike, but he wouldn't tell him what they were!

"Damn you Eragon." he chuckled eyeing the items. He wondered when they could buy them and what they would turn into. So Eragon was behind this a little tiny bit. He chuckled.

He looked towards the other items. What would come out of these? Would they be pets or companions? Well Brifin was all the to curious but patient. He would only have to find out like the others.
Arzo saw all the others looking at the items, he wasn't the kind to step right in the middle. Instead he kept a few paces away, looking from where he could at the small artifacts. The golden cross caught his attention almost immediatly, the other thing didn't matter at all. He had to have it!

He took out his money and counted it again, maybe he had more than he thought. He was wrong, even with his christmas money he was still short, his best option was to work a few more nights and come back later.

((I'm not really sure what the price tags mean, I see a G, an E, and a N sweatdrop ))
Sun finally seemd to have recovered sufficient breath to speak, and began answering questions.

"Well, Caer, I think thanks to La- my pet, there's been enough attempted eating tonight." He even went so far as to make certain the door was fully closed so the creature couldn't come back inside.

Then he turned to Raven. "To answer your question, they will all be unique with no pet exactly the same." He blinked a couple of times. "I'm afraid I'm not into genetic manipulation."

He adjusted a couple of the items on the shelves, feeling pleased with the interest. "Yes, these do take quite a bit of searching and haggling to locate; I have creatures from all three continents on these shelves. Of course, I can't take all the credit; Eragon Elder has helped me search, and kept our little secret." He winked at Brifin. "He didn't want to keep you in the dark, but I made him promise."

"The pricing is fairly simple. Below each is a tag with numbers followed by letters. G is for 'gelic', the angelic continent's currency. N stands for newts. E represents currency from the dark continent. So if an item has, for example, 30E and 20G, it costs thirty demos and 20 gelics."

He made a final sweep of the room with is eyes. "I hope that makes sense to everyone. Can I explain anything else?"

((Edit: The third one in the bottom row is a typo; it should be all "E".))

Raphael had dawdled outside, poking around the area and trying to make sure he'd remember where this place was in the future. He wondered if he could talk Sari into showing him where she kept her shop, as well.

Having satisfied himself that he could return on his own, Raphael pushed open the door to the unmarked shop. That same cat rocketed inside and immediately made for an oblong egg that already looked slightly worse for wear.

Raphael had the distinct impression that Sunstrike was annoyed with him; he was forced to put the cat outside again before Sun would even let him look at the shelves.

When he did, he found a host of strange objects, from eggs to crosses. And every single one of them looked intriguing. He found it hard to believe that these would all one day be living, breathing pets; but he'd just overheard Sun say so.

Raphael jingled the shinies in his pocket. Money wasn't what he was worried about; Sari always made sure he had plenty. The hard part was the choosing!

His hand went first to a long thin object, twisting and writhing upon itself in odd contortions. It was blue, his favorite colour and the colour of Sari's family's coat-of-arms. Tempting, certainly.

But there on the other end of the same shelf sat a crystal - perhaps a bottle? - with a wispy vapour coming out of the top. It had a slightly darker feel to it, when he held it in his hand; but it was just as alluring.

He'd have to think on it. Stepping aside so as not to be in the way of the others, he watched them and waited to see what their decisions would be.

Raven fidgeted. He didn't have the currency for the one he wanted! Grinding his teeth in irritation, he sighed and crossed his arms.

"What if we don't have enough? There are three currencies. What if we don't have a currency to buy the one we want; can't we trade?" Raven had a quick eye, and quick wit, but sometimes he could be brash and loud.

His eye was on the egg. Oh, how he yearned for it.

Arzo looked over at Raven, now that was a question he wanted answered. Raven looked like a smart guy, though he also seemed like trouble to him. It might be a good idea to get to know him better. "I also want to know if trading is allowed" he said.
((By the way, I need some feedback on Arzo's personality since I dun think I did too good. Anyone who can PM me about this I'd appreciate it.))
((Holy crap, I found this by mistake. xD))
Kotaru almost didn't hear what was being said around him. He was to busy examining all of the different items on the shelves. He just had to get one of these. One in particular, the egg with the light blue shell had caught his eye. He reached in to his pocket and quickly counted the money he had. "I've got enough." He muttered to himslef happily.

((Alright, if that's Kotaru's choice I'll put it on the list for Sun when he gives them out. ^^

As a sidenote: This time around, you MAY trade shinies of one type for shinies of another, but it must be with another player. We won't change them for you.

Also, the combinations you got weren't arbitrary; they were based on the responses you gave; so if you choose to trade you won't necessarily end up with a pet that reflects your character's personality.))
Brifin eyed what seemed a bunch of vines twisted a single leaf. Then back to the blue twist. He had enough for the blue twist, but not so much for the vines.

Such a hard choice! THere were so many to choose from! He took out a handful of shinies. hmmm, 55 gelics, 15 newts, and 8 demos. He had enough for the blue twist, but still not enough for the vines! Usually he would go for the blue one, but these vines interested him. Darn his intrests.
Arzo felt he had to make a choice, and that he had to make it now before all of these were chosen. He couldn't get the word 'trade' out of his mind but he didn't feel confortable asking anyone.

He got closer to the shelf, careful not to bump against anyone. Keeping quiet was necessary, so many shinies in the boy's hands, he felt he could take one or two and they wouldn't notice. Sunstrike was there though, he couldn't help thinking that he knew things even he did not. Better keep a low profile.

As he walked closer to the shelf he saw something he had not seen before, a cloud like object. He wasn't sure what it was made from, but the golden yellow, with the blood red, contrasting perfectly with that night black. Arzo was in awe, realizing this he went back to his serious attitude almost immediatly after. The cross was nice, but not afordable, this on the other hand, he though remembering his shinies, he had more than enough for this.

Arzo pointed at it making sure Sunstrike noticed. "I wish to have that thing".
