Unfortunately, I'm afraid I'm going to have to close this place down. As soon as I confirm the rest of the trades I've sent people, I'll be completely closed. Sorry.

Introduction:

Well, the reason I (Mhiranda) decided to do this was because I've been doing quests for a few months now and I've found whilst lurking the charity forum for friends to make and such, I've wanted to donate to other questors. Well, after having finished my last quest, and having the item I was questing for donated to me, I had plenty of gold left over. So I decided that after I got all my Christmas shopping done, I would take what I had left, save up a little more if I needed to and start a charity.

Well, I decided that I couldn't run a charity alone. That would be extremely foolish. If not foolish, then very tiring. So I talked to some friends of mine, and my best friend (onecrazysuzie) decided she'd help me with it as best she could. So now we decided to start up a little charity. Let's hope we grow with time, and let's hope we can help as many people as we can. ^_^

Rules:

1.) First and foremost: Do NOT "beg" in this charity. ANY requests that are like this:

2.) Almost as important as rule one: Respect the makers of the charity. If you're going to argue with someone, take it to a PM.

3.) DO NOT PM the owners of this charity on behalf of the charity. If you are going to PM anyone having to do with the charity, PM this account!

4.) You don't have to fill out some uber-long form with 3 questions we want you to omit, and 2 you have to answer a certain way with a bunch of hidden catches. Just tell us a little about yourself, your quest, give us a link, how far along you are in your quest and anything else you feel you should provide us information about.

5.) Thank you's are not necessary, but they are highly appreciated. We hope you enjoy any donation we may give you, and a thank you will cause you better luck in receiving another donation if you go on another quest.

6.) If you see anything you feel wrong about the charity, PM this account and I'll get back to you about it ASAP.

7.) This is a charity for questors. That means you must be on a quest to get a donation from this charity. Any requests for donations from anyone other than questors will be completely overlooked from now on.

8.) Do NOT use real life issues to get sympathy from me. If you say something like "I have stuff to do in real life, and I can't get on Gaia a lot, so I'm not very far in my quest," that's perfectly fine, however, don't tell about how your parents are getting divorced and how your it would make your younger sibling so happy to have a _______ so you're trying to get it for them. You will get no donation from me if you do this.

9.) Please confirm the trade within a week. If you don't, I'll cancel it. If you're not on Gaia enough to confirm a trade in 7 days, then you're not on gaia enough to complete a quest in my opinion.

Things that will help you get a donation:

Honesty - I don't care how many people you've donated to, be honest about it. Also, do not use your position as an intelligent, kind, charitable gaian to earn yourself a donation.

Consistency - I will be paying attention in your post to see if you're consistent and if you stick to the same story. Basically, don't contradict yourself.

Experience and Determination - If you've completed a quest before, and/or are willing to work really hard for your quest, then kudos to you. You're more likely to get a donation that way.

Intelligence - I'm not huge on this one, but good grammar and spelling tend to make people believe that you're better at working on your own quest. Don't get me wrong, just because your spelling/grammar isn't perfect, doesn't mean you can't try. If I can tell you're at least trying, then you're going to have better rapport with me.

Things NOT to do to get a donation:

Excessive use of the " crying " emote will get you nowhere. 'nuff said.

Don't beg once you get a no.

Attempted guilt trips will put you right on the blacklist. stare

Well, if you haven't figured out by now, I'm the main owner of the charity. sweatdrop Hmm...well, I first met Suzie about 3 years ago, on another website at which both of us frequented. She introduced me to Gaia, and helped me get addicted to it. When I first signed up with gaia, I didn't know much about it, and I didn't expect to be nearly as addicted as I am now. I always did like a lot of the items, but I didn't know much about donation items or about event items or anything like that. So around march or april of last year (seems so weird to say that xd ) I started questing. I knew it wouldn't be easy, but I was sure I'd have lots of random kind people donate to me, and I'd finish my quest in no time. Well, I learned very quickly that questing isn't nearly as easy as all that. So I started chatting around the charity forum at people's quests and made some friends. A lot of people said I was such a wonderful person, and such a good friend. I wanted to donate to my new friends, but I was still on a quest myself. So, after I finished my quest, I decided I'd save up some money and donate to them.

After I donated some, I decided I'd quest for something else. That's where the whole story of the "introductory" post comes in, so I won't chew your ear off.

Suzie has been here for me ever since we became close friends, not just on Gaia, but she and I have become very close friends by way of AIM and telephone calls. Suzie's done a lot for me, and I'd like to thank her for helping me with this charity, because it means a lot to me, and owning a charity by yourself - I can imagine - would be no easy task, but with someone else it becomes easier, and together, I think she and I can make this a really good charity.

Well let's see...What to say.

Well If you didn't figure it out already, I'm Suzie. I really don't have much to say about myself, but Mhir asked me to help start a Charity and I can never say no to a good friend ^__^ So here we are, and hopefully we'll be here for a long time. I've never really quested for stuff, but I've always tried to help Mhir in some way while she was questing. 3nodding

I may add more when I can think. But for now this will do.

Letsee...back in september I decided to start a charity. Only friends kept asking for gold and I'd give in. ^^;; So I'm still working on it. Mhir told me about her charity and said I could help her if I wanted.
I loved the idea and quickly agreed. So, here I am. :3

Well let's see.
Mhir's a nice girl and far too generous for her own good. Frankly I'm not one to spend the time evaluating people's "quests" to see if I it is worthy of a donation... but then again I'm a jerk. Mhir however seems to enjoy helping others for some reason and I suppose that's how this whole charity thing came about. So yes, overall she's a great person.
