Rules

  • Do not under any circumstances claim my images as your own. If thou stealeth, thou art blacklisted. Simple as that. If you own an Medea, you won't even have the chance to say goodbye stare
  • Please make sure you read all of this page, like I asked in the first post. It's really annoying to have to keep repeating myself to people who neglect to follow these rules. Patience I have, but not a lot.
  • You are allowed to own as many regular/flatsold Medea, but only two specials. However, there will be some flatsales that are availible only to new buyers. No matter how delightful they look, you'll have to watch and cheer on from afar. Or you can just chat with me, that works too.
  • I deplore spam. Period. Bumping is alright, but don't go too crazy. Remember: Spam will get you listed.
  • DO NOT PM, AIM, MSNM, or YM ME ASKING ME JUNK ABOUT THE SHOP! That's so freakin' irritating, especially when their questions can be answered by reading this page. If you do, the first thing I will ask you is if you read the first page completely. If you say yes, and the question you asked isn't answered somewhere, then you're cool. If it is, blacklist. Sorry if that seems harsh but it's getting out of hand.
  • Darn it, DON'T POST-HINT! By that I mean posting things like "Oh I can't wait for so-and-so to hatch" , " *checks on my egg*" , "I wonder when so-and-so will hatch" over and over again is post hinting. It was get me angry almost as quickly as art/image stealing. That's just rude. If you feel something or see something is wrong with your pet, then post it once, or PM it to me. Not both. Breaking this rule is grey, then blacklist worthy.
  • If you break a rule and your pet is taken, don't whien and gripe. It's your own fault. You don't get a refund, and your pet will be redistributed. If it happens that you've used a mule to keep your pet, a Mod will be summoned. Yes summoned...
  • You must direct link the tag to your pet until it's reached the final stage. Once it does, then you must save the image and host it yourself. I like-y bandwith, so after a week, they're gone. Point blank. If you need your link again, you're allowed two times to ask for it back.
  • Follow the rules, and enjoy your stay^^

Background

I happened upon a small egg as I was walking one evening. It appeared to have a crack or two in it's shell, so I rescued it from it's makeshift nest of grass and dry leaves.I wrapped it in my jacket and took it back ot my home in Gaia and placed it on a softer bed f piled blankets. I fell asleep watchign over the tiny thing, and awoke the next morning to a tiny hand- or paw in this case, pressed against my cheek. I opened one eye and blinked, thinking there was no way I could be staring into the eyes of this furry little jewel-adjorned bunny...type...thing.

"Hi..." I half yawned, figuring I was dreaming and still asleep.

"Chuu?" it replied, giving me a hopeful, inquisitory look.

My reaction? I did what any normal Gaian girl would do given the situation.

Why- screamed of course.

The little fuzzball sqeaked and ran out of the room. I regained my senses and followed it into the kitchen, where it was hiding under the table. I slowly walked over to where it hid, shaking, snagging a creampuff on the way. I crouched down behind her and she turned to look at me, eyes bright and curious. I broke off a corner of the puff and held it out to her, nibbling on the rest.

"S'okay, m'dear.." I said around a bite. ( Though it came out more like 'medea', which is what I decided to call this little pet of mine ) It took the piece and so began a beautiful friendship. I called her "Gateau", French for 'cake', since she has an incredible sweet tooth.

One day I stumbled across yet another egg, male this time. I had grown quite fond of my little Medea, and decided it'd be nice to have more. I soon found these creatures were closely related to the typical rabbit species, considering how fast and how many eggs I was later blessed with. And so, I spent more money on blankets.

One day, Gateau's mate up and left, maybe off in search of another mate. Which led me to the question of whether there were more of these creatures, these Medea, out there in the world of Gaia...

But that's a different story.

I was running out of blankets and space when I came across the area of town called Breedables and Changeables Place. It appeared that I was not the only one finding unknown little creatures. There were many to be found. I decided to share mine as others did, and after much bribery and money spent on creampuffs, Gateau agreed to let her eggs be sold. And so, I set up shop...

It turned out these little babies were popular, and so I decided to create some hybrids and special types. And then a devastating thing happened...

But that's over and done with, but it would seem that the Original shop collected far too much dust. I decided it was time to revamp and refurnish. I began work on a whole new, and far more organized, shop and thought up a new batch of ideas for the grand re-opening. That brings us to now...


*falls over and twitches violently*



Stages
There are four stages to the Medea. Egg, hatching, baby, and adult. Simple, ya? These pets do not "die", but they can surely be taken away from you. But that's a whole different post. For the record, I run two shops, so updating is hard work whee Please remember that and don't harass me about it. I'll try to make the stages as accurate as possible.

  • The Egg: Your Medea egg rests upon a soft cloud of fluff, the perfect nest for such a delicate creature. So be careful not to manhandle your egg.
    Length: Five Days

  • Hatching: Your egg is hatching! Soon you will have an adorable baby 4laugh

  • The Baby: Tada! You now have a baby Medea. Congrats to you blaugh Baby's tend to sleep the majority of the time they're in this form, but occasionally they wake up to play.

  • The Adult: Your baby is all grown up now. While it's still small, it is in fact fully-grown. Females have longer ears and a bead-shaped jewel, whereas males have a diamond shaped jewel and shorter ears. This is where you take over the nursing (( hosting XD )) of your baby.

    (( see above tag)) This tag actually costs something. Why? Unlike the above post, the tag will be in color. The scheme however will be different. It will change according to the colors of your Medea. The color itself will be decided by me unless it is a custom order. That takes time. Therefore, money ^^;

Pricing is the key to selling items. Our pricing, at the moment, becomes more expensive with how much we have to edit. All pricing will be underneath the item, as well as the description. Please read everything carefully.

Description: This is the Slow Growth potion. One bottle slows down your Medea's life cycle by a week. If you want it to slow down more, buy more bottles of this potion.

Description: This is the Stop Growth potion. This potion is PERMANENT. Do not use it lightly. It cannot be reversed. Your Medea will stop growing in whatever stage it currently is in.

Description: This is the Speeding Growth potion. If you have a Medea egg and you would like for it to become an adult instead of a baby, buy a bottle of this potion. It will skip the baby stage, and you will have an adult Medea.

Description: This is the Reverse Growth potion. One bottle of this potion can reverse your Medea's life cycle. If your Medea is an adult, and you want it to be a baby again, take one of these potions. One thing you must remember is that this potion can only be used once per Medea. If you want the Medea to stay as a baby once you used the reverse potion, buy a Stop Potion and stop their life cycle.

Breeding

Yes! Finally right? Well sorry about that, but now it's high time to get breeding underway. First off I'd like to say a few things:

Breeding Rules

  • BABIES and EGGS canNOT breed...they just can't, and it shoudl be obvious why xP

  • Each Medea can only breed four times. Whether or not the breeding is mated or not is the owners' choice. If so, then they are not allow to breed with any other Medea, regardless of how pretty they are XD The only exception applies to specials. Specials cannot breed, with the exception of Nitemare and Angelic. They, sadly may only breed once, but their offspring would be a hybrid, and therefore auctioned.

  • Breeding will cost 1k (1000 gold) per person, and without a potion ( which may get you more) will get you two eggs. You decide wether to sell or keep them. If they are sold, they will go in a flatsale, unless they are specials. Then who knows- maybe something special will happen to the offspring as well wink
    Note: there currently is not a breeding potion, there will be soon.

  • Breeding of the Medea should usually last a few days, 2-3 tops. (( don't rush me... )) There is a week long interval between the next time you can breed. Heed rule number 2 ninja

  • Do NOT request to breed if there are no open breeding spots. I mean it. I may let it off with a warning, but do it too many times and it's greylisting. After that- you do it- you're blacklisted. Period.

  • Breeding will NOT be RP-ed. The role-play is in the making, so we'll leave it at that. Plus....no I won't even go there ^^;

  • Owner's must agree before sending trades. I need two trades- one from each person. After those are confirmed, the breeding will commence.

    That should be enough for now. Any other questions ( That are NOT answered here ), please post them and I'll add it to the FAQ and here.

    Flatsales
    Flatsale will be completely random. Why? To add to the suspense of course. Flatsold Medea will be 2k. The price increased by .5k, but worry not- there won't be another price increase for a while.

    Flatsale Medea will usually be announced a few days beforehand, but sometimes I might have some surprise flatsales...I can't say how often those will be, but they'll be about as rare as a pink link. Just make sure to check the shop title for the prompt. Be sure to wait to place your order until I (or someone specified) posts in big     red letters, 'Flatsale is On!' , 'GO!' or something of that nature XD. I'm all about fairness in here, so please do not PM/ IM me in anyway asking to reserve one. I won't do that because it's unfair to someone who may still want to order, and have the gold right then. This note is null and void if it's a pet trade canidate. ^^; In that case, I will make another, and then post it. Maybe...

    The order form for adopting a Medea is as follows:

    Owner's Name: Your Gaia Name
    Medea Name: What you're naming your Medea
    Tag: Which tag you're wanting
    Items: Which items you're wanting
    Total: The total price (( you will be responsible for that. Not me ))


    Eggs Available

      there are currently no eggs available



    Flatsales are first come, first serve. If two claims are made one right after the other for the same egg, then it'll be decided who gets the basket by the time of posting. If it's the exact same...uhm....then we have a problem sweatdrop

    Make sure to send the trade immideately after you see your egg has been claimed in your name. Do not send it before I quote your order, just to be on the safe side. Once all the baskets are sold, they will be posted in the Owner's list post. You can click the link, and copy/paste it into your signature or random signature.


    Custom Orders
    Custom Orders will be as follows:

    Custom Order Types

    • regular: 3.5K (3,500 gold)
      Regulars will go through the normal stages and will be based off of the custom order form.

    • adult: 4k (4,000 gold)
      Adult customs do not go through stages. They are adults and will be such unless a potion is ordered.

    • special order: 10k (10,000 gold)
      I realize this is a bit pricey, however the reason for that is legit. Special Order Customs are based off of anime/game/manga characters. This requires editing and researching, especially if it's off of a game I haven't played. This will require a reference picture provided by you. That's quite a bit of work I say...


    There will be five custom spots open at once, and their status will be marked so I don't want to hear any whining. Once those five slots are full, then they will be closed off for a while. There's no set intervals, just make sure to check up on things.

    You must follow the order form below if it is a regular or adult custom, otherwise your order will be ignored.

    Owner's Name: Your Gaia Name
    Medea Name: Your Medea's name
    Gender: male or female
    Fur color: red, blue, green, etc.
    Pattern: (if any) designs/symbols
    Pattern Color: red, blue, green, etc.

    When sending a trade for the Medea, (you should already know 'when' to send it whee ) make the trade title "Medea egg #--" or "Custom Medea: -insert name here-". If you don't send the correct amount, or break a rule...I shouldn't even have to say what the consequences are. However, it will be accepted as a donation if the rules are broken, so unless you are donating, then I suggest you make sure you know what to do^^.

    Auctions
    Auctions will be held in separate threads, that makes them easier to find and maintain. The links to the auction threads will be posted here, and will be noted in the updates section. The rules are the same as those of the store, so I cannot stress enough that you read them all completely.



    Raffles
    There will be one basket per Raffle. As usual, those will be announced.

    If you want a ticket for the raffle, post in this thread in     Maroon Font, (why? I like that color XD) then send a trade with the -- gold required to buy the ticket. I will add you to the list, and all you need to do is check back to see who won.

    The winner of the raffle will send -- in a trade to me, Sylvre, the one and only, the Sylvre-lady, the *is hit with a blunt object*. I will PM the winner and ask them for the information needed, then post the basket in the owners post. Then, I will edit the tag, and PM them the link to the image.

    I love pets, especially pixelated pets. However, things are about to get hectic- so I'm not too thrilled about having RP-based/heavy pets. I wouldn't have the time and I definately don't want my pets to die. occasional RPing is fine though.

    Also I am rather...er....picky about what I like. If I turn down your offer please don't take it personally. I'm already starting to have a truckload of pets- though that doesn't really bother me ^^
