I was given a small bloom today, from Emperial. She handed it to me wearing plastic gloves, so that her hands wouldn't even have to touch the delicate petals on the blossom. I felt a surge of warmth come through my body as I held it close to my chest, so that it could feel my heartbeat.

I named her Mina, because that was the first name I could think to give her. I know it will be a she, probably a very beautiful little girl, when she grows. For now, I keep her close to me at all times. She travels in my pocket, peeking out when I shop in the market. When I am out dancing or even simply walking through town, she sits behind my ear and watches all that I see. At night, I keep her on the floor next to my mat, so she can hear me breathe. I have such a fond connection to little Mina. She is a beautiful young flower.
