Welcome to my totally Awesome utterly Fabulous completely Amazing... humble little art auction thread. I've been on Gaia since 2003, though in that time I've only offered a handful of avatar art auctions due to limited free time. So grab your chance to get some of my art!
I will re-use this thread for all art auctions whenever I get some time for them, so feel free to subscribe to this thread and make use of whatever uber stalkage skills you possess. Also feel free to chat and such.
Sorry, I'm not much with banners and layouts, so the thread is pretty simple and straightforward. Please don't judge my art skills badly because I don't have a fancy thread sweatdrop

This is one of my rare open 'free for all' type of auctions, although the media is not open it is one of my few full color offerings! I've been working on improving my Prismacolor technique and having fun drawing with it, so I thought I'd offer up a commission in that media biggrin

Subject can be anything from Gaia avatar to original characters.
Whatever posing desired; it can be anything from portrait to full body.
Your choice of style- chibi or regular
(My chibis usually are short, fat, and cute, though I can also do thin ones with largeish heads; my regular ones are still anime-styled but more natural proportions. In general my style tends to vary a bit.)
I do minimal to no background.

Media: Inked outline colored with Prismacolor pencils

You will receive both a large and signature size image of the completed picture in .jpg format. If you desire a different file type just let me know.

Ladder options:
idea If bidding goes over 40k, I will do 'couples' ie two people (Celebrity Date counts as a couple.)

I'm a bit of a 'Jack of many styles' artist. I do a lot of anime-styled stuff that varies. I also can do realistic stuff from life, like to sculpt though I don't do it as much as I should, and dabble in photography. DA has most of my current stuff, my website has my more 'fine art' type stuff. My favorite stuff tends to be figurative and animal forms.

You are bidding on exactly what is described in the first post.

When the auction is over, post a picture of your avatar as you want it or reference samples and a description if you're getting an original character. (You're welcome to Tektek avatars as well.) Include a description of the type of picture you want- posing, expression, etc. Things like what you consider most important about your avatar or small details I may miss are helpful. I allow minor modifications of your avatar if for instance you want something on it that Gaia doesn't have, or if you like a couple items together than can't actually be worn at the same time. I like the info in the thread since browsing the thread pages is easier for me than digging up a PM that got buried.

Send me a trade as soon as you post your info. I will not confirm the trade until your work is done. I however will not send out your final work until the trade is completed.

Please give me at least a couple weeks to finish your picture. If you are impatient and this is too long for you, please don't bid. I'm sorry, but I will tell you up front I tend to be a slow artist. I don't mind being poked periodically about progress.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the thread. If you PM me questions its possible your PM may get lost in the swamp of PMs I get, and that way anyone who was thinking of the same question can see the answer.

Drawing Specifications: Sitting on the floor with legs out / so you can see the socks closest.T hat look but with the hair under the OMG hat I'd like it to look like when I've got this hat on (hammi hat). I'd like a kitty playing on my lap or just lying over one leg or something. Not to show the undies to a great extent if possible. Looking innocent (eyes mostly). Maybe have the head tilted to the side a bit with a question mark..?

Cool! Always nice to have other oldbies around. My first account was made a wee bit before this, I got stuck as a male by mistake since I wanted to get the account created before I messed with my avatar (I don't think you could change your gender then? Or maybe I just didn't think it was worth the effort.) So this has always been my main, though not my first. I use this user name for practically everything (though darnit people are taking it nowadays.)
I found out about Gaia through people talking about it on Livejournal. I actually would have joined earlier, but I thought it was a MMO and I didn't want to get involved with something that complex after seeing the people involved with RO. MMOs were still new big scary things to me. I didn't actually play one until I started Maple Story later on. So I totally missed my chance to get a Halo! I like joining things when they are new though. It was fun to see Gaia develop.
