Hiya, Um...I've been role-playing for a long time, and I've been dying to write a fan-fiction, so here it is.

Don't expect too much from me, I've just turned 13 and haven't been taught much in the art of story-writing. (Learning waaaaayyyy too much poetry in my opinion)

I'd love to hear how I'm doing and how I can improve. 3nodding

Oh, sorry if the Characters are a bit OOC, I'm working on that sweatdrop

Oh, and Sora, Riku, Kairi, or any of the other KH or FF characters do not belong to me. Many of the worlds mentioned does not, Though Crystalline, Irelle, and Empire's headquarters are of my own ideas.

So is Rowan, and Alan, and Kenlaux, and Kai, and other original characters.

Darkie, Nephla, Aragi, and Kazolda belongs to my friend, Alan.

And for people who don't wanna go to FF.net, I'll post my chapters on this thread too, here's where you can find them on this thread:

Chapter I-Page 1
Chapter II-Page 1
Chapter III-Page 1

(The ones I post on this thread will be more of my first-drafts. My fully-edited, changed, and better ones are at FF.net)
Please post the first few paragraphs or the first chapter of your story in this thread. Just posting a link or asking people to go read your journal is considered spam, and is against the rules of this forum.

If you can't/don't want to post it here, please ask a mod to move this thread to the Promotions subforum.

Oh, Ok thanks for telling me^^

Ok, this is a re-write of the last boss battle in KHII, against Xemmy.

This story will contain spoilers to the game, (mainly KHII) so read at your own risk.

Chapter I biggrin eath of Sky

The world swirled around them in streaks of light and dark. Riku and Sora stood there, panting, their backs together as they looked around for Xemnas, who seemed to have disappeared. Riku was shaking all over- he was exhausted and knows that Sora won't be able to hold on for much longer either. You don't come out of blocking half-a-million little lasers unscathed. Even though he was close to collapsing, he kept his weapon high, looking around for a sign of Xemnas. Sora suddenly let out a surprised cry. Riku turned around, just in time to see Xemnas with his wicked smile, drawing his glowing sword right out of Sora's chest. Sora collapsed, without another sound. Riku quickly turned around and started to go to the keyblade master's aid, but Xemnas stepped in front of him and blocked his way.

"Son of Darkness. Why do you oppose me so? If you are the darkness, then why do you side with the light, to go against those caught in the middle?" Xemnas said in his deep, slow, calm voice.

"Shut up!" Riku snarled angrily. Sora... he needed to help him, Sora might be in danger, he might not make it. Riku lashed his weapon out at the nobody, attempting to injure him in any possible way, but Xemnas merely teleported out of the way.

"Riku. You must know of all people that what want is not unreasonable. A heart...is it really too much to ask for? To be whole again..." Xemnas seemed to be taunting him, and that set Riku's temper on edge. Riku was getting sick of how calm he sounded when his best friend was lying on the ground, maybe dead...Riku shook his head and forced himself to not think about it.

"If you do get a heart, then you'll just corrupt it! So better not having one at all, cause your not deserving of one!" Riku yelled out of anger, getting Way to Dawn in a ready position. When Xemnas spoke again, there was an edge of anger that had never been present before. Not like he could feel anger.

"You do not understand of what you speak of. Everyone- even those in darkness- have hearts. Are nothings really so different?" Riku shook his head.

"You're just not getting the concept are you? You-weren't-meant-to-exist, so get the hell out of our worlds." Riku said through clenched teeth. Sora was lying next to him, and he bent down to pick up The Kingdom Key that Sora had dropped. He risked a moment to take a look at Sora. His chest was rising up and down, that was a good thing. Sora's still breathing, still alive.

Riku then looked away from Sora, knowing that he had to finish the battle. Chaos would be wrought if he didn't stop the Nobody. Everything they did these days seemed to have the fate of the world on their shoulders he thought bitterly. And to think he used to live a normal life, wishing for excitement. He sure has got his share of excitement, enough to last him several lifetimes.

He ran at Xemnas both weapons ready. He wasn't much of a duel-wielder, but two keyblade did offer a chance for quicker strikes and defending positions. The two met, the sound of metal striking metal ran in the air. Odd, Riku didn't know that Xemnas's sword could produce such a sound.

The two exchanged strikes, though Riku found that he was parrying more then attacking, and he was slowly being pushed back. This aggravated him, he had to beat Xemnas and tend to Sora's wounds quickly.

As Xemnas brought down his sword down at Riku, the teenage boy crossed the two keyblades together, blocking the attack. Xemnas's sword was stuck between the V on top of the X formed by Riku's two weapons. Xemnas moved back, attempting to wrench his weapon free. But Riku was a step ahead of him. He slid Kingdom key from the formation, and quickly twirled Way to dawn in a way that it caught Xemnas's sword. The move flung the sword out of reach, though Riku's own Way to Dawn was also thrown away. He had only the Kingdom Key left.

"This is for everything you've done to me and my friends!" Riku whispered, grabbing Kingdom Key with both Hands. Before Xemnas could get his weapon back, Riku thrusted the keyblade into the Nobody's body, putting all his weight behind his attack. It went through, and Xemnas disappeared in tendrils of black mist. He didn't have any final words, just stared at Riku with no expression. Well, he was a nobody, and that's what you expect from them right?

Riku almost collapsed as Xemnas disappeared, as he was putting his whole weight behind the keyblade. Riku quickly dropped kingdom Key, and it lay there forgotten as Riku ran to sora's side. Riku held Soraby the shoulders and shook him. He didn't care where he was now, he didn't care about the man he had just killed. The only thing that mattered was Sora. If he died, then...he didn't want to think about it.

"Sora! Wake up! Please! You can't scare me like this!" Riku was fighting his rising emotions and dread. He almost cried out in relief when Sora slowly opened his eyes.

"R-Riku?" Sora said in a weak voice, so unlike himself, so unlike the words he always speaks with conviction, so unlike the words that he always spoke that could warm one's heart, to chase away fears. Riku looked at Sora with a worried expression. That wound...would Sora be able to make it through?

"Riku...I'm so sorry...I can't go back to the Islands...please let Kairi understand...and don't let her forget me...like before" Wincing, Sora closed his eyes. Sora sounded so defeated...it was painful to hear him say anything in this tone, not from Sora, who was always so optimistic. Hearing him give up is something that's a shock, something that can break the willpower of others. And it seemed to have broken something within Riku.

"Don't say things like that. You'll make it, no one will forget you." Sora didn't reply.

In a few tense moments, Riku almost expected Sora to wake up, yawn as if he had just had a nice dream, smile at him with his happy-go-luck grin, with his innocent baby-blue eyes...but he didn't stir. After what felt like an eternity, though it couldn't have been more then a few minutes, Sora still didn't stir. Riku suddenly understood what had happened and -for one of the first times in his life- started crying.

There would be one less resident of Destiny Islands.

"When you walk away, you don't hear me say, please don't go baby..."-Lyrics from Simple and clean, KHI intro

Chapter II: The calm B4 the Storm

"Pssst. Rowan" Rowan slowly opened her eyes, and yawned, sitting up on the sandy beach, blinking as she found herself looking directly in the face of Alan, her best friend.

"What is it Al?" Rowan asked sleepily, the hypnotic lapping of the waves to her right almost putting her to sleep again.

"Come over here, I have something to ask you." Alan said, a strange note in his voice. Rowan yawned again, stood up, and followed Alan. The two headed for the small island set apart from the main islands by a bit of shallow water. That was the small Island where the bent paopu tree was planted, and it was the place the kids loved to stick around.

You must be wondering why she was sleeping on the sand right? It's the annual no-so-official Destiny town's island Kids camp out. OK, it's a long name, but it's fitting. Every first day of summer, a few of the kids gather at the Islands to celebrate, by camping at the Islands. In their whole group, in the whole group, the kids only have a total of two tents, so there isn't enough room for everyone to be able to sleep with something over their heads. The girls sleep in one tent, while the boys take the other one. Alan and Rowan volunteers to sleep outside every year- they enjoyed being under the stars, and they didn't mind the sand, though it is annoying to have to get the little debris out of the hair in the morning.

Well, there is room in the boy's tent this year. Sora isn't here anymore, and everyone's always wondering what happened to him. He disappeared with Riku and Kairi two years ago, but they came home without Sora. They never told anyone what happened.

Going across the small bridge to where the bent Paopu tree is, Rowan wondered what Alan wanted. He seemed kind of nervous. The two of them settled onto the bend paopu tree and for a few moments, just staring at the moon, and the bright band of light that was starting to appear over the water, announcing the new day. Alan looked at her awkwardly, and then held out something to her. She cocked her head in surprise. It was a star-shaped fruit. The paopu.

The paopu is the symbol for Destiny. Legend says that if two people shared one paopu fruit together, they are "Sharing one destiny" and they were be forever a part of each other's lives. For people living on the islands, it was a symbol of love, used in place of Cupid.

"Um...I was wondering if you would...um..." Alan said. Then looking around nervously, he split the paopu in half, and handed one half to Rowan. Rowan took it, not really sure of what else to do. The sun was halfway up now, spilling its radiance across the water, like an overturned bucket with it's content slowly creeping across the floor. Alan looked away from her and just began to eat his half of the paopu fruit. Rowan smiled and took a bite out of hers. She was sort of expecting a day like this for a long time- she and Alan has been friends for as long as she could remember, and they were close, closer then most people knew. She just hoped that Tidus wouldn't find out about this. They'd never hear the end of it if he did.

Alan was a year old than Rowan -she was 16, and Alan was 17- but Alan was still half-a-foot shorter then Rowan. He's always been short, but he was quick and nimble. What he lacked in strength and size he made up for in his agility. He was fast, flexible, and perfect with balance. He was the only one that could outrun Riku in the obstacle course other then Sora. He had bright green eyes filled with mischief, and untidy black hair that can't be kept straight no matter what he does. He was a happy-go-luck kid, and most people liked him, except the teachers. He was a troublemaker and boy is he ever a teacher's nightmare.

Rowan herself had long brown hair, hazelnut eyes, and a slim but strong build. She wasn't a real girly-girl. She liked snakes and spiders, frogs, and sparring and other stuff most girls would scream at. She didn't care about getting messy, and loves to hang around the guys. She finds lots of other girls boring- all they ever talk about is guys, make-up, and things like that.

And did I tell you about her morbid fear of water?

A game that all the kids liked too play was trying to get the paopu fruits from the bent tree. When she was 7, Rowan tried it. She almost got one before she slipped and fell into the water. She still remembers how the salty water stung her eyes, and how horrible it tasted -a mixture of salt and something bitter- and how water came down her throat instead of air when she tried to breath. How freezing cold it was, and how scared she felt after Alan and Riku got her out of the water. Ever since then, she was scared of water. It was the reason she never participated in the Blitzball game the others -especially Tidus- loved to play.

Later that day, everyone packed up the tents. Last night's campfire was now buried beneath the waves thanks to the tides, so they had no worries about a smothering fire that could spring back to life again. Rowan chatted happily with Kairi, Stelphie, Alan and Tidus as they rowed their boats back towards the town. After they get all their gear packed up at home, they would go back to the Islands and play like they normally do- try to the paopu fruit, spar, do races on the obstacle course, and etcetera.

Oh, she has no idea of what is about to intrude upon her peaceful life.

Who knows? Maybe starting a new journey wouldn't be so hard. Or maybe it has already begun."-Kairi KHII

Chapter III: Something's gone wrong

Hanging in the sky was the moon, though it was eerily shaped like a heart. Kingdom hearts, the world of light and also of ultimate darkness. Next to a giant door that connects to this world of infinite power was a giant machine. A giant machine with many wires and parts, so complex that even the man who was suppose to activate it himself didn't know completely how it worked. A wire made of pure light, and one made of pure darkness connected from the machine, and trailed into the great door like ghosts.

"Oh sure, just press the button when we give you the signal." Kai muttered to himself, writing down some final jot notes. This was the moment the Empire has been working towards for years. All that research finally led to this moment.

He suddenly jolted as someone appeared behind him. Turning around, he could see the dark portal, swirling with purple and dark energy, like tendrils of mist. It was the same portals that members of organization XIII used. Standing in the middle of the dark aura was what looked like a 7-year-old girl. She had deep black eyes, and she was adorned in a black cloak. Odd, Kai thought. Kenlaux rarely ever wore black.

"The superiors are ready." It was chilling to hear Kenlaux speak. She looked like an innocent 7-year-old girl, but her voice held no emotion, her eyes betrayed no love or compassion. She never showed care or worry for anyone. It was because she didn't have a heart. A nobody, as they were called, the shell left behind when the heart is stolen. Nobody really knew how the girl lost her heart, and she certainly doesn't remember if she's telling the truth.

Kai cursed under his breath. Why did they choose him to do this? They knew that anyone, even shy Hikari would be better for the job. Everyone knew he was always a nervous wreck, and being the nervous wreck, he always messes everything up. He walked with a slight limp- a souvenir of a particularly vicious heartless attack- so he was useless in battle.

"I'm ready." He replied.

Get over it, you're just pushing buttons.
He growled at himself as Kenlaux disappeared. But it was very important buttons, buttons that could make things go horribly wrong at the slightest miscalculation or typo. Going over to the keyboard on the machine, he began to type in commands. He set up everything, activating the system which the Empire had worked to program down to every last bit.

A screen popped up in mid air, with the words:

"Proceed?"

Kai typed enter.

"Confirm?"

Enter.

You should be wondering what Kai was doing. Well, let me explain. He is part of an organization of scientists who calls themselves the empire. They were inspired by the works of Ansem the Wise, and they were now a big group, studying everything from the heart, heartless, kingdom hearts, nobodies, the keyblade, to the worlds, synthesis, and magic. When the Organization XIII was still whole, when Roxas was still a nobody searching for the truth behind his existence, they were rivals to the Empire. No armed conflict had occurred between the two groups -for the Empire was far more powerful in numbers- but they had argued over theories of Kingdom Hearts. The organization believed that Kingdom Hearts would make them whole again. The Empire didn't. Other then a some back-pointing and snickering, nothing much had occurred between the two groups before the downfall of Organization XIII.

The Empire's main goal is to create artificial keyblades. Their studies found that the keyblade doesn't choose it's master, as how it was told since the dawn of time, but rather, everyone had a keyblade locked within one's heart. It was always incomplete, and dormant until the right conditions are met. The condition is that the heart must be pure, and the one with the Keyblade must be in need of it. For instance, if they are attacked by heartless.

The Empire's found a way to trick the keyblade's within one's heart to emerge without having to meet the criteria. If one's heart is exposed to the power of kingdom heart, it is tricked to believe that the heart is pure, as pure is the power of kingdom hearts. Then, send the host of the keyblade into the midst of heartless, and you've got yourself a keyblade. The machine's purpose is to extract some power from Kingdom hearts, and implant it within a heart.

As the machine rattled, something horribly wrong happened. A part of the machine exploded into flames, the the cable of light connecting Kingdom hearts to the machine started to shine brightly. Kai gasped as the door started to slide open, letting out it's radiant power.

"No!" Kai rushed to go shut down the machine, but it was too late. The whole area was bathed in light, and rays of Kingdom heart's power coursed throughout the worlds.

Kai was never seen again, but he wasn't the only thing the world has to worry about...

"If it's broken, fix it. If you can't fix it, duct it. If you can't duct it...then we've got a problem."~Anonymous

Finally something I'm good at! blaugh I'm good at describing nervous people cause I'm always a nervous wreck myself sweatdrop Not a very good way to earn this talent...
I see you've changed your first chapter. That's good, that one section always threw me off.
I think that the fight scene between Xemnas and Riku is still a bit hard to understand, you might want to revise that a bit.

For the second chapter, you need to make it seem as if Rowan wasn't so shy. That's going OOC for her, and the real Rowan would smack me if I tried to give her a paopu blaugh *ahem* but anyways, other then that it was good...

And the last one...
I really like how you delveloped Kai's personality, even if he's not going to be a part of the story anymore. But a good way to introduce Kenlaux.

I won't go into the typos and spelling and grammar stuff, I'm not good at those things but...

This is looking pretty good!

You better not mess up darkie's personality like you did in the Role-play ninja

>.> I didn't mess up Darkie's Personality. He's changed! it's been 15 after the events in your fan-fic, and he's been the leader of an organization that's half evil people, quarter neutral people, one 8th evil half-elves, one 16th neutral half-elves, and only one 16th nice people. And about 0.o00001% is a neutral Nobody, Ken.

So he's gotta change!

I know he was all happy-go-lucky and sora-like, but he's been through a lot. So I'm making him all solemn and quiet and stuff ^^
Oh alright >.>

Please update chapter 4

Chapter 1's always bugging me

Told ya I'm not good at dead ppl
._. Stop changing the first chapter!!! scream

*grumbles off to read it*

You're making it seem even more yaoi-ish 0.o

If you're going to rewrite chapter 1 again, then please try not to make it sound like Riku loves sora...in the non-friend way.

0.o really? I'm trying to stress the point that Riku is worried about Sora. But I guess people might get the wrong idea >.>

Oh well, I'm tired of changing the first chapter all the time.

I've been looking through a lot of fan-fiction on this thread, and there's a lot of Naruto ones

Hmmm...They all have way more dialog then mine, and they seem to be getting more comments

(This whole page is filled up with our posts plus the person telling me I have to post something from my story here)
._.

Stop editing your first chapter!!!

I see you've changed your second and third ones a bit too. But think that was unnessicary, but oh well.

Stop editing your chapters and get on with writing your fourth one xd

I'm just trying to perfect it >.>

I've never written fan-fics before, so I'm fretting over the little details. Still trying to give a good name to my story, it's too cliche right now. >.> Gotta think of a nice non-cliche name.

and no matter what I do, it sounds yaoi-ish 0.o

I just spotted many gramer/spelling mistakes. 8runs off to fix it*
