Have you ever read through a character's profile and were so amazed that you thought they would become legends, maybe even living legends? Well, we have; there are a lot of talented and creative Gaians out there, and the Legends Charity Project was created to help draw them all out into the limelight.

In the Legends Charity people submit their characters for grading, and those who pass receive donations.At the end of the month, the person with the highest score will become the month's LEGEND and receives an extra donation. The Legends Art Shop has a number of artists who all donate a different portion of their proceeds toward keeping this charity in action.

This is Kraun. My friends call me Baldy, or B, but everyone else calls me Kraun. I am a 20 year old chinaman, a graduate of culinary arts, I live in Canada, and I work two jobs, one full time, one part time.

Now for some more additional useless information which really isnt important at all except that it wastes space and makes it seem like theres a lot to read when there really isnt.

My hobbies include roleplaying, videogames, movies, reading, cooking, eating, sleeping, and making sprite edits. Anyways, thats why I'm here, it a hobby of mine. I do it for free. Of course, I could do a sprite completely from the ground up and actually sell that, but that takes more time than I'm willing to spend unless it was for myself, but I'm a busy guy. Not to mention somewhat lazy unless I get crazy motivated.

Things which will get you on my good side: People who are civil, polite, has some dignity. People who are tolerant of other people's culture, race, religion, traditions, ideals, and opinions. And of course, people who has the 'ability to BRING THE PAIN'

Things that will get you on my bad side: a** kissers. Whiners. Punk assed kids. Also, people who are intolerant of other people's culture, race, religion, traditions, ideals, and opinions. I also dont like people who actually believe that they are superior to others.

Will/Will not do:
Okay, this is where it gets complicated. Because I am doing this for free, there is no order form of anything for me. I do sprites on a whim as I feel like it. And I prefer doing original characters over avatars. In fact, the chance of me doing an avatar is low... like, maybe a 1 in 50 chance. I dont see the point to making a sprite based off of another sprite. As such, if you order art from one of the other artists, and I so happen to pass by and see that, and I think its interesting, I might do that.

Also, because some people are nice people and all that and want to contribute to the funding of keeping the LEGENDS charity running, I might to sprites for donators. But I still more or less refuse to do things which I dont find interesting, and pretty much wont do avatars. But just so you know, making donations does not guarantee that I will do a sprite for you. Donations are suppose to be made without want or expectation of reward.

Also, I despise doing feathered wings. They seem like more trouble than its worth. I can do them, I just dont like to.

And don't bug me or PM me about these things unless I ask you to. If you do, you instantly get on my bad side, and I'll probably never do a sprite for you.

User Image Name: Omal (Oh-em-ah-el) Testu (Te-stoo)
Age: 19
Appearance:
Short and buxom, Omal has what is known in most circles as an hourglass figure. However, it is a muscular build due more to her occupation than her eating habits. As a Turtle tamer, Omal needs good strong legs to support her grip on the turtles back, and gains broad shoulders due to the swimming and gripping of the turtle's harness when riding them. However, her face often makes people think she is younger than she is, as she takes good care of her skin and moisturizes every day so the spray of the salt air doesn't age her as readily as it does most Testudinites.

Her eyes are a vibrant green that match that of water created malachite. And her hair is the color of sea foam, all natural thank you very much. All members of the Testudine tribe have shade of blue or green for hair, so it's not really all that big a deal.


Personality:
Omal is a tomboy. She would rather be outside, riding sea turtles or hanging out with Mekro than inside knitting nets or other such things. Although recently; rather late in life for most Testudines, Omal has discovered boys. As something more than playmates.

The only indoor activity she does like is reading, and is an avid reader often reading stuff far beyond her age range. Still considered a child by Testudine standards, Omal is very well versed in literary and historical accounts, secretly doing a lot of her father's records though no one knows but him.


History:
The Testudinite tribe is the main naval force of a small kingdom; Amniote, that rests in the far distant corner of the world, relatively untroubled by most but always prepared. Most of the various tribes under the Amniote kingdom have a totem animal that they align with and that they protect. In the Testudinite Tribe, that animal is turtles. Whether sea or land, the Testudinites consider all turtles sacred and protect them with their life.

It was into this culture that Omal was raised. A spirited lass, her mother soon discovered that it was hopeless to try and keep Omal indoors with the other girls. To learn weaving and cooking was too boring for the tomboy who seemed to have the attention span of a goldfish. But it wasn't that Omal's attention span was short, it was that the subjects they wanted to teach her weren't interesting. What did interest her however, was the turtle riders. The men and boys of the village who rode giant turtles into war when needed and spoke to smaller turtles, finding where to find the best growths of kelp for food, or pearl oysters for trading.

Even from the youngest age, Omal was found beside the turtle pier, talking to the turtles who came close to land to lay their eggs, keeping them company while they worked, then waving them off as they left again. Many a day did Omal spend either at the turtle beach or on the cliffs, watching the waves and wondering what else was out there and if she'd ever get to see it.

It was one such day that, when yet again, Omal was supposed to be indoors but was instead at the cliffs, watching a group of mothers come in from the south. As she looked out from the cliff with the binoculars, she saw one old and large mother seemingly stuck on some seaweed, but when she turned around to look for some watchers there was no one around. Apparently, there had been a council meeting that Omal didn't know about and everyone was inside.

Omal again looked through the glasses and saw the turtle still struggling to be free of the kelp. If things didn't happen in a timely manner, then the baby turtles wouldn't make it, so Omal made a rash decision and dove into the frigid waters. Luckily, even as a child, Omal was a good swimmer and made good time to the turtle, who at least had the good sense to realize the human child was trying to help her.

Omal took one of the knifes that all members of the tribe had from the time they were little and began sawing at the seaweed and kelp that kept the mama turtle trapped. Being a Testudinite, Omal's lungs were in great condition and she was able to keep underwater as she kept trying to saw all of the kelp, but the more she sawed, the more there seemed to be, and even Omal knew her lungs would give out soon, but she refused to give up. Every turtle was precious. In her own simplistic fashion, she felt that this was to be her one life's adventure before she died that her father told her everyone got.

Omal passed out and began to sink; only she had gotten the mother turtle free enough to escape the kelp. And like most adventures, this was not the end, for the turtle was special, in more ways than any knew. She dove down under Omal and caught her on her shell and then continued making her way to shore. Once there, the girl slid off into the sand,unconcious, while the mother turtle watched over her, one large flipper covering the girls' body, somehow giving her life back once more.
