As you open the door of a small shabby cottage you step into a glorious field. Small Aydinites come up to you and nudge your leg. They run back and continue to play in the trees and the flowers. To the left of you there is a silver table with two chairs. Two women are seated by the table, one playing the violin and the other crushing flowers into a beautiful vibrant blue liquid. The violin player looks up and you and smiles. "Welcome to Wings of Aydin. A home for those that survived the trip from Aydin." The other woman laughed and greeted you. "Come sit down and relax, they won't hurt you, they will just want to play."

Introduction/Backstory


Many years ago a disease passed over the land of the Narion. It killed many dragons and humans, unfortunately there still is no cure for this disease. Arshise Nae' an anchient dragon moved on and tried to find a better place for them to live.
Months later two sisters were playing on a beach and found the downed anchient. With golden eyes the white dragon looked at the two sisters and looked back at her dying self. The two sisters helped nurish and keep Ashirse alive helping her gain what strangth she could. Once the anchient felt better she told the sisters, "I owe you my life and that of all the others of Narion. Would you do me a favor and find familes for all the other lost ones of Narion. Can you find people just like you to raise these orphans."
With that the sisters promised to raise the Aydinites and find people that can take care of them.

7-15-08 - We are going to put up for auction abandoned pets. These dragons will be sold for half the price of their original sales. The list of abandoned Aydinites will be made within the next week. The sale will be the week after.

6-9-08 - Amira Keller is back to work with us again. She had to break away for some important work and personal reasons. She is back again though and we are extremely happy about it as well. She has also brought with her two new lines of pets.

2-19-08 - Valentine's eggies, tagged and ready to go. Flat Sale or Raffle in the works.

2-15-08 - Valentine's Day Auction ended. Sharonlady won the auction with 5k, and a freebe Aydinite for bumping.

2-1-2008 - Reopening of the shop. There is a Valentine's Day auction and contest. The prizes are four Aydinites and our special once in a life time auction of two lovebird Aydinites. The store name has been changed and a few drastic changes in the thread itself.

11-13-07 - Aydin's Wings will be going under construction and a hiring process. Also at the end of the month, a Christmas special event, a raffle for forgotten eggs and an angelic/demonic egg auction

7-28-97 - Auction open for specialty egg.

7-6-07 Amira asked to have the custom slots open. She will be giving me a bribe list shortly for some items she may accept along with the price of the Aydinites.

7-3-07 Stages have come out, hatchings and one egg. The next stage change will be in one month for the hatchings and the egg. Two months for the fourth stages.

A new event has been decided within the next two weeks it will start. I will not say what it is now but it will be fun.

4-9-07 The last two eggs from the first flat sale have been sold and tagged; thusly ending our first sale ever!

There's been rumor about that there will be a special event soon. Arshise has been acting funny and mumbling about the great mythos.

Who knows what surprises will be in store when she returns with our next charges!

3-25-07 Eggs and hatchings are showing up all over the place. There are two new eggs, and the others hatched. ^_^ YAY!!!!

3-18-07 Due to some really crappy unforeseen issues, first with Amira temporarily loosing the function of her computer followed by Therasa's HDD corruption and somewhat failing health, the tags on the most recent purchases along with the latest growings have been delayed a bit.

Amira and Therasa have spoken and everything will proceed as planned; albeit a bit slower than they had hoped.

Once again; we're really sorry about all this.

12-28-06 TAGS HAVE BEEN POSTED!

12-25-06 Both Thera & Amira have had computer/software issues. The tags will be up as soon as possible.

12-22-06 The first 6 Aydinites sold will be ready for pick up by the end of the day.

12-13-06 We have added Familiars.

12-10-06 First Flat Sale event opened at 4:30 AM GMT/11:30 PM EST/8:30 PST. With the first two sold in Half an hour.

12-05-06 Opening the store ^_^ Though we are still working out the kinks we want to show the world our little Aydinites now.

11-27-06 Amira and Therasa make the last few changes before the first flatsale and the opening of Wings of Aydin.

11-24-06 Amira and Therasa create policies and decide how to start the adoption center of Aydin.

If not stated otherwise, you will only recieve one warning before getting blacklisted, ignored and reported. Our decisions are final and not to be questioned. If there is any issues with this, you are free to leave.



  1. If you haven't already, read and refer to the Gaia ToS.
  2. Any forms of hatered, discrimination, or biggotry is not permitted and will serve as an instant blacklisting, ignore, and report.
  3. Any art and conceptual theft will be reported on the spot without warning, and blacklisting along with ignoring is a given. Do not take the samples. Do not take a pet if it does not belong or is labled to you.
  4. Do not PM Amira Keller for any reason. Any and all PM's get sent to Arshise Nae`, the shop mule. Both Amira and Therasa have access to Arshise and take advantage of that once if not multiple times per day.
  5. L33t speak, text talk, and noobish butchering of language is not appreciated. This is a literate thread with a literate role play. Please refrain from the use of aforementioned, and even if it is in a joking manner. Proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation is loved as is those who know to do so.
  6. Check any drama that's not part of the storyline or RP at the door, or even leave it to the PM's if you can't seem to do that.
  7. If for any reason you cannot take care of your pet any longer, we will auction or re-sell the Aydinite for a fee 60-70% of cost, depending on its stage (You, the old owner, will recieve the remaining 30-40% from the sale). If you have found someone who is willing to take on the pet for you, there will be a flat fee of 5K, in this method the new owner will cover the fee. (All fees cover re-tagging for the current stage onward. If re-taggings for previous stages are desired, it will cost 2K per stage)
  8. It will not be regular practice to issue refunds. The pet will be grown individually and fit to its owner(s). Unless there is an extreme circumstance, absolutely no refunds.

  9. The base structure and growth patterns for our pets was created around a moderate to intense RP storyline, but we will not require you to RP your pet(s). We do highly encourage the RP of the inhabitants of Aydin. Moreso, there will be incentives and bonuses to those who RP on a regular basis, alone with others, and even with pets/"family"/friends not from Aydin.
  10. All owners/Guardians are required to stop in the shop at least once a week to once every other week, even those who choose not to participate in the RP, Guild/storyline or in your Journal. If you cannot make a simple post in the required time period you risk loosing your pet and having it re-sold and issued a new Guardian without any compensation.

Q: Who does the art for Wings of Aydin?
~A: All the art, line art and coloring, is currently done by Amira Keller with the occasional help of Therasa Silvernite

Q: Can I use the lineart for _____ or in my ______?
~A: No, unless you paid for a pet specifically, you are not allowed to use any creative aspect, illustrated or conceptually, whatsoever.

Q: Ok, so I purchased a pet where can I put it?
~A: You can place your Aydinite anywhere on Gaia permitted by the
ToS. You are not allowed to post your Aydinite on any site off of Gaia, including your personal website(s) without special conscent (With the exception of Photobucket, Image Shack and other image hosts of the like.).

Q: Can I be a colorist/line artist/manager/employee of the shop?
~A: Sure. If you would like to apply send a pm to me with credentials and we will get back to you.

Q: I love the little dragons! Can I have one free... pleeeeeaaaaase?!
~A: No, if you did not win one in a raffle or contest pets will not normally be given away for free or even discounted. Though there are always exceptions to the rules... (Begging, whinning, and complaining aren't the ways)

Q: Your pets are to expensive; lower them for me?
~A: Absolutely not. A lot of time, effort, love, and even gold went into making the pets, shop, guild, and story. Prices were mainly baised on the complexity of the art, the amount of stages, and the fact that no two pets will be exactly the same. These are not cookie-cutter pets and take more effort to grow than just typing text into the tags and shading them. You are essentially getting a new piece of art each time your pets grows!

Q: Can a pet be co-owned?
~A: Absolutely! Though we will typically only permit two (2) people to co-own a pet. Customs, though, will only be allowed to have one owner.

Q: Do you do pet trades?
~A: Possibly. Please PM Arshise Nae` for more info and specifics.

Q: I don't have a lot of gold, could I pay in/with items?
~A: Sadly right now we will not accept payment methods for regular pet sales other than Pure/all gold; we will start to accept them in the near future. Donation Items/Letters ("Monthly Collectables) & Sealeds may possibly be accepted for bribes. Please check the status of bribe slots and PM Arshise Nae` to discuss a deal if, and only if, there is an open bribe slot.

Q: How long did it take for you to make each stage?
~A: From starting sketch to colored and tagged Aydinite, it takes several hours for each pet, and a bit longer as the stages progress.

Q: What are the benefits of RP'ing?
~A: Other than what's listed, the benefits range form special add-on options at the next stage to priority at the next growth to having a larger litter if bred, even owning an extra pet. We have a lot of bonuses for those who RP, even a little bit in their journal all the way to RPIng every day in the guild or with other pets.

Q: Ok, then what about if I don't RP them?
~A: First off, you need to make sure you make a simple post here and there in the shop... You get the "basic package": Your Aydinite will grow through the basic stages, but it won't progress any further than that; it will take a bit longer for him or her to hit their "growth spurts" and when they do, there won't be anything fancier to them than the basic growth; any additional items that you may want to add on will be limited and will require that you buy them; color changes (which signify mood) will not occur; they will only be able to breed at certain times of the year and will only result in one egg/baby unless a potion is purchased to increase the possibility of having more than one egg (twins/triplets are not a possibility); they will only be able to breed within their own Anima caste (element caste)...

Q: Can I join in the RP/Guild even if I don't have an Aydinite (yet)?
~A: Yes! Absolutely. Just check out the rules and the Guild to see what's going on as well as adding Arshise to your friends list and requesting an invite. We ask that if you do join in on RPing that you play as your avatar or an OC (that could be a potential Guardian). We will not allow you to RP as an Aydinite if you do not own one.

Customs are able to be purchased upon request when I or Amira Keller say so. She will create a Aydinite specific to what you ask or as close as you can get. Customs are priced by what is asked of her. Customs start at 10K and can go up to a range of 50-75K, depending on the complexity and how familiar we are with the desired result (Ex Cosplays).

Breeding: Not applicable ATM

Breeding Aydinites take a lot of time and effort, the courting process of two Aydinites usually takes many years or so. But we are pushing it a little forward just for you. ^_^ Though there are still some difficulties with mating two different castes. Such as mating a spirit Aydinite and a demonic one. This takes longer and sometimes you will only get the same caste as one parent not a mix.
There are chances where there are more than one in a litter. We are shocked sometimes to find that there are sometimes two or three to a litter, more commonly within caste pairings. Though this is extrememly dangerous to the female Aydinite, it will not be fatal.
When a new Aydinite is born they are born in egg form. Live births are unusally rare but can happen only in situations when there is an inter-caste pairing.
With breeding there are certain percautions you and your Aydinite must take. For a few nights the Aydinite must be placed with the mate. The pair (M/M, F/F, & M/F can breed) will be brought to the main adoption center for 'privacy'. During the first few days it is dangerous to go near the Aydinites, they can attack for no reason and can end up killing the owner or the person in charge of them. Do not worry they can take care of themselves at this point. They learned well from you. After this time you are able to take your Aydinite home. They will have the litter within a few weeks.
You can use potions to assure yourself a stronger and larger litter as well as a healthier birth. There is also a rumored potion to have your Aydinite have a live birth. If you have any questions on breeding your Aydinite PM Arshise for more details.

There are no more Samples due to the fact that Amira will draw the stages to fit how you rp your Aydinite. If you do not rp with your Aydinite there will be a basic design for you.

Egg Stage - Eggs are what Arshie Nae` brings over from the Norion Land. These poor eggs are given to Amira Keller and Therasa Silvernite. Each egg is about the size of a CD. The eggs do not hatch until a few weeks later. Anyehrtr from 2-3 weeks.

Newborn - The only way you can see what caste they are is by their eyes. The newborns are not able to see but are very sensitive to touch and voice. They can hear very well. This is how they are able to tell who their owner and or parent are. Newborns are small and can be held in your hands. They are very docile and do not often do much. They do explore but still can not see. This stage lasts for 1 month.

Young Child - Durning this stage they are able to see and you can tell difference in their apperance from the other Aydinites. They are playful and very happy. At this point they are explorers and want to understand the world around them. They learn to fly if they are born with wings. Sometimes at this stage they have their wings clipped or they fall off. They are as tall as your shin at this point. This stage lasts for 1 1/2 to 2 months.

Older Child - This is when they start to learn. They are larger and about as tall as your hip. This is usually when the Aydinites tend to learn to leave their nests and move on. But don't worry they are not in the setting that they were in. They will stay with you. This stage usually lasts for 2-3 months.

Adolescent - This is when the Aydinites have more independance, they grow more everyday. At the beginning of this stage they are about 5' tall and can grow to be any where from 20' tall to 50' tall. This all depends on their caste, age, and sex. This stage lasts for 4 months.

Adult - They are adventurous and very social. At this age they look for mates and also learn element tricks. These tricks are sometimes in the form of fire scales or being able to blow ice from their mouth or disappear into thin air. Once they are adults they learn many new things and are more mature about it. This is the best stage to have them trained for different tasks such as battling and diplomacy. They are very tall at this point and tend not to grow any more. This stage lasts for 6 months to more than a humans lifetime.

Elder - The eldest dragons that still roam and are seen by people. At this stage the dragons are at their largest. Their scales have hardened to were they are harder then diamonds. This is usually the stage were they are most hunted for their scales.

Ancient - There are few of these that remain and are over all very mysterious, those that are from the other land are not used to humans and do not like being apart of them. Not much is known about this stage in the Aydinites life.

Dragon's Milk - 5K - This potion is given freely by the Aydinites. It posses the power to age. By having your Aydinite drink this milk they will grow within the next few days.

Dragon's Tear - 1K - This sad potion is given to stop a child from growing. They will not advance to the next stage of life until the potion wears off. (You decide when that happens.)

Vermillion Seed - 5K - The potent flower gives off a seed that is know to cause Aydinites to have live births. Though rare, Wings of Aydin hold a few of the precious flowers in our stores.

Cardamom Lore - 10K - This potion is given to dragons before they mate. This is to try and make the chances of multiple births even higher. Though still not 100% likely, this potion will increase your chances.

Amphithere Feather - 7k - This feather is ingested around the time of mating. This will determine the sex and caste of the baby Aydinite.

Stuff: Hello ^_^. Not sure what to say. ^_^ I am bad at writing about myself. I am 22 and, as said previously, in college. I have this shop and others I work for, this is my home though, the one that I personally love the best. Amira Keller is an OCC of mine, the picture of the left is the closest one I have ever seen that could explain her. If you would like to know more just ask. ^_^
