At last you’re here; we’ve been waiting for you. Welcome to Buttercat Woods, unusual name isn’t it? -The guide points into the distance to the white leaved trees, with its magical, soothing feeling of utter tranquility. Yet among the glory of the trees, was the softness of movement, the faint sound of wings flapping, and paws barely touching the ground below.*-

And as you can see from the view the reasoning behind the name, Buttercat! This is the only place anywhere in the world these magnificent creatures are found, curious why they picked here of all places, and curious still are the trees, are they white because of the cats, or are the cats here because they are white? There is a myth about this beautiful wood, however that is a story for another time.

Can I have a pet?
Yes, but you have to get one through an event.

Are these RP required?
No, but RPers get perks here just like in almost any other shop.

Do i have to host these on my own server?
No! I host them so they can grow up big and strong. If you choose to host at the adult stage, I will still keep it hosted incase you lose it. (or i lose it)

Can these things breed?
Yep. With the staff's help of course.

Do you do pet trades?
I love pet trades. PM the mule if you're interested.

I want to affiliate, how can I?

I want a custom, how much are they?

Arenaithya is a strange land. High above the planet, it floats on clouds. There are many such floating islands, but buttercat wood is the largest of them. It's said to be the center of all power on Arenaithya, and to be charged with the care of one of its creatures is an honor. Only owners of one of the illusive buttercats can even visit, though there are several smaller islands floating around it that buttercats fly to for leisure.

Its on one such island that the original caretaker met her first buttercat. Having been an explorer, Shayla had flown there trying to find new and exciting things.(The Arenaithyans have many flying devices) When she spotted the interesting little island, she landed to have a look. It was beautiful beyond belief, with flowers she'd never seen before, and grass as high as her waist. A few trees here and there broke the horizon, so she headed for one. Lounging under it on the beautiful afternoon, she was alarmed to hear a sudden shuffle to her left. Not moving a wink, a tiny little kitten with wings eventually waddled out of the grass toward her. What a sight! And with no fear, it came right up to her and began to cuddle. She felt the kittens mind brush with hers, and Shayla knew that she had a new purpose from that day forth. Apparently, the buttercats were lonely, and longed for adventure themselves. (Shayla named them buttercats, due to the half butterfly, half cat features. At the time she thought it was cute, though she's sure they have a better name they arn't sharing).

Flying back home, with the buttercat nestled on her shoulder, Shayla shared the discovery with her town. From then on, they became the guardians of the buttercats. Always, there is one Shayla, who is head guardian, in memory of her. Buttercats and Arenaithyans live together, discovering new floating islands and peoples all the time. And sometimes, even new buttercats!

1. Buttercat Fields: A general place for buttercats and their caretakers to lounge and soak up the sun. There's a woodsy area, as well as open grass to enjoy.

2. Common Quarter: This is where most of the people live. Despite having the craftman's quarter located in its center, the general populace of the island reside here. There is no poor or rich area, as all the housing is equal in quality. Arenaithians work together.

3. Cloud Ship Quarter: This district is split in two. The norther half has mostly important people's housing (or those with extremely large families). Damian's house is actually located there. The southern half is quartered away for the cloud ship construction, innovation and docking. There is also a warehouse area in the south east of the zone, continuing on into the common quarter as indicated with the more elongated buildings. If you live in this quarter, you can dock your ship at your house (unless it's too large) Other residence dock at the docks extending over the islands edge.

4. Buttercat Hall: A building established for the caretaking of buttercats. There is a hospital wing, a nursery, a lounging area for the older cats, and other official offices. All ceremonies take place on its steps, as the whole population can fit onto them.

5. Craftsmen's Terrace: This building looks as if twenty houses were jammed into one large building. There are balconies everywhere, and it extends up from the ground twenty stories. In here are the craftsman. Jewelry, clothing, metals. All are worked here. On market day, there are booths set up all around the outside of the building, so one just has to walk the exterior to find what they want. There is of course a craftsman guild, and many more things included with that, but for shortness sake i'll not go into them as of yet.

6. Cloud Ship Yard: This building houses cloud ship construction on one side, and invention on the other. In the middle are offices and other official areas. All cloud ships are constructed and registered here, As well as classes on handling. There is also a bar, located in the back right of the building, for all workers, for them to let off steam after long journeys.

7. Cloud Ship Dock: Contains small stores for goods needed on journeys, as well as the main dock itself. It can hold hundereds of cloud ships, and if you're the owner of one, your area is registered for your docking only. It can be a nice evening walk, as the sights are spectacular due to the constant innovations and experimentations.

8. Everlast: This tree is the only remaining original tree on the island. All others had been planted since the coming of Arenaithians. There is a story about a woodsman attempting to cut it down, but a buttercat lept in the way at the last moment. The woodsman was so moved by the sacrifice, that he spared the tree, and cared for the buttercat back to health. Since then it's grown to magnificent hights, and often is a favourite playspot for teen buttercats, having finally gotten used to their wings a bit.

Egg

In this very egg, a very strange species is developing. It's growing,
and growing, and waiting for the right time.. There is a faint sparkle enloping the egg, and as it gets closer to hatching; it grows into a mist.


Kitten

How the heck? What is that? A butterkitten of course.. A butterkitten is very tired and lazy, due to changing so drastically. All it wants is to be held and sleep. But when it's awake.. Beware.. Little bits of it's magic is starting to show. You can also feel the kittens purposes at this level, in your mind. But the kitten doesn't have speach yet.They also start to learn to fly as a kitten. Though it's more catastrophe than anything else.

Teen

Now that it's rested, it's all over the place. It's magic has just kicked in fully; and so it is showing it off as much as it can. It just started to notice each other, and would much rather be with it's friends than owner. The teen can now carry conversations, though on a level of that of a normal teen, and only telepathically. Teens can fly, but not do maneuvers, and they get tired fairly quickly.

Adult

Now that your buttercat has finally reached it's final stage,
it's a lot more calm.. It's learned to control it's magic, and to be mature with it. It's possibly found who it wants to spend the rest of it's life with. It's drawn back to you, treating it's friends and you as equals. It can carry on lovely conversations, telepathically or out loud also, as an adult. Adults can fly expertly, and for long distances.

Flatsales

Flatsales will be randomly held. It takes a lot of effort to color pets, therefore I can't promise one every week.
Usually in a flatsale there will be 2-10 buttercats. The price will be 5,000 gold or 5k.

Rules -
1.)Do not post your order until the mule posts go in big green or red letters.
2.)Don't threaten anyone into not buying
3.)First come first serve basis
4.)Only one per flatsale, unless it's announced it's opened again.
5.) If you do not send the trade within 2 hours, we will resell your pet!
6.)Follow all of the other rules
7.) You can have someone proxy for you, but if you don't send the trade and information within 24 hours, your pet will be resold.

How To:

1.) After the Mule posts GO in green/red letters in the thread,Fill out the form and post it. First come first serve!
2.) Send the trade.
3.) complete trade, Recieve certed pet.

Auctions will be held every 1-2 months, possibly. Who knows?
There are a numerous amount of auction types to choose from.


rules:
1.)Do not discourage people from bidding! ~Immediate~ ban from auction.
2.)Only two people may co-own
3.)Bids are to be posted in bold red font, to be seen. Any other posts may -not-be in bold red letters.
4.)Items are accept at mid, Teh Guide
5.)If you don't win, don't whine. There will be other auctions.
6.) Trade needs to be sent 24 hours after auction, or the runner up will recieve the pet.

Raffles will be very rare. You may buy as many tickets as you want, with each
ticket being 100g each.

To purchase tickets, post in the thread how many you want, and send the trade right away with the page number of your post. No page number, no tickets.

Customs

Normal colouring customs are 15k. (3 colours, simple designs)
Slightly complicated Cutstoms are 25k. (7 colours, specific designs)
Complex Customoms are 40k.(unlimited colour, lineart edits, complex designs, ect)


If you want specific colours, please provide a Hex code for them, and i can create them from those colours. THIS Is a good place to get them.

So, the sky is clear, the grass green.. And oh my gosh, what are
they doing?! They're trying to make babies of course.. But it'll
cost for the hospital fees. To breed your pets it'll be 12k. A
buttercat may have anywhere from 2-6 eggs. You may choose whether
to keep them or flatsale them. 50% profit will go to the colorist, of
course.

You must have consent between both owners. Pets could only breed 3 times in their lifetime. (cause it's a lotta stress to have that many babies!)

Hi! I'm Alinedra, or Ali for short. I'm 22 (Birthday is July 10th), Married, no kids yet. I currently live in California, in the Monterey area. Its between san francisco and Los Angeles, neither of which i've been to =P My husband is Military, and we'll only be here till probably September. He's learning Chinese for the Military right now which is why we're here, where the school is. We'll probably be moving to Japan in a few years which will be interesting.

Hmm, what else. I went to school to be a graphic designer, but had to drop out right before graduation so i could move out to california with Mike. It sucked, but oh well =/ So no college degree, but lots of debt. Wewt!

I love gaia and world of warcraft. Between the two i have loads to do. Sometimes i'm more addicted to the other, which might explain sudden times of non activity =P they dont' last too long though, so don't be worried.

I think thats it. Anything else someone wants to know just ask =P I've no secrets.
