1. I am the shop owner! Please respect me and my wishes. If I tell you something, I expect you to listen/comply.

2. Do NOT steal this artwork. All banners, certs, pet art and anything else were made by me after HOURS of sitting at this desk. Please do not take it or edit it in any way, and do not claim it as your own! Owners, I don't mind if you use YOUR PET as an art reference. If you do, give me some credit, will you?

3. Follow all Gaia TOS and Rules. Otherwise you are likely to get into some trouble.

4. Do not god-mod or pick fights. Joking around OC (out-of-character) is acceptable, but when roleplaying, please respect each other.

5. Do not hassel me, my friends or other owners about getting pets/offspring. Free pets are given out at my discretion, not your pleas/harassment.

6. DO NOT whine about any concept in this shop. If you have a problem with male-male relationships, half-human beings, whatever, then just leave the shop. It's so much cleaner than having to deal with closed-minded people. And please, be mature. The last thing I need are immature, offensive announcements and badgering.

7. Do not edit or delete posts in this or any related thread. Thats what I call CHEATING.

F.A.Q.
How much do Centaurs cost?
They cost 5k at a flatsale, and usually start at 6k-8k at an auction. Customs are a little more expensive.

They are all male, right? How do they breed?
That will be explained with the story.

What are those weird, winged-egg things?
Again, explained with the story.

Can I have one for free?
No.

Can I bribe them off you?
I'm a pretty impressionable person, so feel free to try. I've a longing for very special pet trades, but you need to figure out my weak spot... See customs for that.

Is the lineart for sale? Can I buy it?
No. Do you think I would open this shop if I was going to sell the lineart? Get away from me.

Can I color/work for you?
No.

How many can I own?
As many as you can pay for, but you may only buy one from any single event.

Are they roleplay required?
Nope. I do recommend it though, as it is great fun.

Long ago, before time could be recorded and the world lived as if it would last that way forever, an unbreakable pact was formed between nature and the elements, magic and life, plant and animal. That pact is now known as the Feather-Wind. It was so that the life of the plants, the animals and the magic of the elements from then on drew upon the power of one another. Though it is unknown as to why this occurred, it has been said that a great emergency arose beyond the control of all those forces, and that bonding their souls was the only way to survive. Unfortunately, one species, the Serpentus, whose true name was Lamia but never spoken for its evil, was so wicked toward the other creatures and plants that it was left out of the pact and so detached from the life of the planet. They were condemned for eternity, and hated everything for their exile, living as if they were, themselves, the death that all of life feared.

The warriors of nature, the Centaurs, as old as the wind itself, defended nature and valued it. They were the complete opposite of the Serpentus, and the two were natural enemies by ancient instinct. Unlike the Serpentus, the Centaurs were tied to the Feather-Wind more strongly than any creature, and considered themselves equal among all creatures. Regardless of their obvious natural advantage and power, the Centaurs respected the Feather-Wind and all life, even in the face of their incredible intelligence that has been proven to corrupt and stain a soul like it had to humans much later. In recognition of this, nature granted the Centaurs great power and even control over the elements. A great power of Sight was granted to those who could contain and master it over decades, allowed them to see the very auras that surround a creature?s soul, and sense their emotion. Some in even fewer numbers were able to learn the skills needed to wield the power of the elements, fire, earth, wind and water. This power served the Centaurs well for centuries, until their near end not long ago.

As natural enemies, the Serpentus and Centaurs warred with each other, over anything from insults to murder. The conflict slowly built up over time, and at last the Serpentus unleashed a brutal assault on the Centaurs that lasted one hundred years. They stalked their foals, attacked even the mightiest of warriors in large groups, and broke many lives. But even with that the Serpentus? numbers dwindled as well and casualties were found on all sides. After one hundred years of bloodshed, the last Serpentus and Centaur took their final stands against each other. Selene, the last true Lamia, was brutalized by the greatest Centaur warrior, Kohmo, who held mastery over Fire Magic. She escaped, barely clinging to life, to a place beyond the Hane Forest grounds. Kohmo was able to live, but grieved for his fallen race until he made his final plea to nature. He walked sullenly to the largest tree of the Hane, Di?Leiray, who was said to have a true mind of her own and never died. Knowing that the forest depended on the Centaurs as much as they on the forest, for the forest trees had already begun to fall with those Centaurs who also died, Kohmo sacrificed himself at the roots of the tree so that it, or any tree, may have the ability to reincarnate the Centaur race.

Complying with his final wish, the forest stumps that had died with the souls of the Centaurs seemed to bring themselves back to life. But new trees were not what came to life. From the remnants of the trees large, bizarre eggs formed, and great branches in the forms of wings sprouted to protect them. Vines grew onto the eggs and gave them vitality, until at last they hatched and revealed new generation of Centaurs, almost fully grown. Ever since, the Centaurs hatch from the beautiful pods that grow from the remnants of nature, slowly regaining their numbers and returning to the forest.

How to Obtain an Slot.
Please PM Featherbled with the title "Hane Custom Request" and a trade of the appropriate price of the custom (prices explained below). Within your PM, please include the following:

Prices
Normal Centaurs include your choice of skin color and tone, hair style and color, tail style and color, fur color, eye color and any special markings. These cost 15k.

Special customs are any Centaurs with extra items or add-ons. They also include custom hair and/or tail styles. Since this includes editing lineart, the price is that of the Normal plus 1k for each item/add-on, and 3k for a custom made hair/tail style that I have not made. If you are not sure if your custom is something I have already made, ask me with your order and I will discuss it further.

Rules/F.A.Q. About Customs
1. You may only order one custom slot per opening, meaning if your name is on the list, no more custom for you until I reopen the slots. If your name is not there, then by all means, send in!

2. Will you edit the body of my Centaur?
No. I don't do major edits, only things that can be easily made, like items, hair, tails, etc.

3. Will you make me custom lineart of my very own?
Nope.

4. Can I bribe you with a pet trade offer?
Yes, if you own a shop. You must discuss this with me by PM if you wish to make a pet trade, but that does not always mean I will accept. If your shop is on the list below, then you are automatically entitled to make a pet trade, no questions asked.

5. If your custom trade is not confirmed within 24 hours of receiving the egg and preview, you will be warned that payment is due. If you still fail to confirm the trade, you will be blacklisted and your Centaur will not hatch.

In the Kaze Forest, the elemental energies of Fire, Earth, Wind and Water keep the health of life in general in check. The help the balance stay balanced, four clans were formed long ago by the most powerful Centaurs in the forest, and thus a tradtition began. The clans protected their elements and taught others to respect and cherish them. With the near destruction of the Centaurs, however, those clans have all but disappeared. As the Centaurs regain their numbers, the need for these clans is increasing rapidly, but they cannot form again unless four Guardians, or leaders, are chosen by the tree for their inner strength and power of Sight.

Currently, only one Centaur is known with the power of a Guardian. Axon, who's memory is lost to time and trauma, has the power of the Fire Guardian, and is taking steps to reform the Clan of Fire.
