Benkei Academy (Reboot - Now Open. Accepting)

Six years ago Benkei went from being an all boys school to a coed school. Not all the male students were happy about this for various reasons. Some because they felt the female students would bring the school's ranking down. Others felt they would be an unwanted distraction, and honestly they felt they would have to protect the from the less noble of boys at the school. The girls have spent the last six years proving they are anything but weak. Even through all this, and the rivalries that have sprung up, so far not one of the female students have switched schools. Will the students ever be able to get rid of these chains that separate them?

Setting: Modern times, september 16th, the third day of school. The school is located on an island somewhere between Japan and England.

Gazebo
Located in the back of the school in the middle of the school garden.

Game Room
Located behind the library, its pretty much an arcade. Though there are several game systems in the back room.

Library
Behind the main building. Open from 6:30am to 10:30pm

Main Building
Directly in the center of campus. Contains the headmaster's office and all classrooms as well as the infirmary.

Pools
Located east and west of the main building. The one to the east is an indoor pool, while the one to the west is a regular outdoor pool. Open from 6:30am to 9:30pm

Garden
Located to the southern part of the campus. This large sprawling garden is a good place to relax.

Crest Cafe
A mostly student run cafe, though one of the teacher's is in charge. Is open during breakfast, lunch and dinner. Located next to the school gardens, in the southern part of the campus.

Cafeteria
Located in the eastern part of the campus. Open during breakfast, lunch and dinner. Closes at 9:30pm

Located on the left on the outdoor pool

located to the right of the indoor pool

Yui had gone to all but one of her morning classes. She'd skipped going to her fourth period class. Instead she'd decided to take a nap under one of the trees in the court yard. It wasn't that Yui was a bad kid, she was far from that in fact. She just didn't feel like answering personal questions about herself, since that always happened. People were always so curious about her since she spoke so rarely to others. It wasn't that she was shy per say, more that she didn't like to talk to others. She preferred to keep her distance from others, it was safer that way. Did she distrust people? Most certainly. She had good reason for doing so as well. People used her once they found out who she really was. Best to keep them at a distance and lie about who her parents were. Well a little white lie as far as she saw it.

The distant ringing of the lunch bell made her eyes tighten for a moment, as if fighting to stay asleep. Eventually she gives up and her stormy grey eyes flutter open. She looks down at the book on her lap and picks it up. She did recall reading before she had fallen asleep. “I really need to stop doing that. I might drop the next one elsewhere by mistake.” She mutters to herself before closing the book and placing it in her book bag. She runs a hand through her black hair and sighs, her eyes now on the sky above her. She could hear the other students exiting the main building, chattering among each other as they headed for either the cafeteria or Crest Cafe. With another sigh she stands up and stretches her arms above her head before looking around. Hard to believe school had been in session for three days already. Summer had come to a close before she had even realized it. Not that she minded. Summer always bored her.

Ruffling her hair slightly she looks towards the cafeteria and then to the cafe. The cafe was usually packed, well except on Thursdays. As luck would have it, today was Thursday. With a brief smile she picks up her bag and heads towards the cafe. She preferred when it was quiet. Too much noise meant if someone did talk to her she'd have trouble hearing them. That was always awkward for her. Not that many went out of their way to speak to Yui. She wasn't exactly the most friendly girl. But that was just her defense mechanism. Or at least that was what she called it. Spending too much time in your own company with only your thoughts wasn't always the best. She knew this yet she rarely chose to speak to anyone if she didn't have to. But she could be friendly when she felt like it. It really depended on the mood she was in. Ordering her tea and lunch she sat at one of the seats by the windows, sipping on her tea as she read yet another book. It was rare to see Yui without her nose stuck in a book. People tended to not bother her while she was reading. Not she was actually reading the book. Her mind as always was elsewhere.

Steaming water trickled from the shower head as the echo of droplets cease their patter on the tile floor. 'four minutes fifty-two seconds' the young dark haired male thought to himself grabbing a towel from the near by hook and wrapping it around his waist, it was the exact amount of time his after gym shower took. Letting the next person take his spot he goes to the locker with a silver plate with the name Arashi written on it. The young man finishes drying his skin and hair before letting the towel drape over his shoulder. He opening his locker and takes his clean clothes from the hanger inside to change, 'Three minutes and fourteen seconds' the exact amount of time he took for him to change his clothes and put on his shoes. Looking at his watch he gives it a slight nod before grabbing his bag and making his way from the locker room just in time for the bell for lunch to ring. 'right on time'

He makes his way through the schools grounds giving a slight wave to those who greet him, the echo of Arashi-sama and Arashi-senpai filling the air around him. In a way it was disheartening to the young man who hoped that coming to his academy would allow him to connect with those his own age, but it seemed his family named kept others at arm lengths. Arriving in the cafeteria he sets his bag at his usual spot before going to the counter to order his meal. The good thing about this academy was because it was such a central academy the cafeteria served food from all over the world. Taking his tray he makes his way to his spot sitting in his seat and placing a napkin on his lap. 'Warm chai tea, Nikujaga with white rice, miso soup and tempura shrimp. Perfectly balanced" he though to himself before clasping his hands together "Ittatachimasu" the words still and low as they cross his lips, he then breaks his chopsticks and beings to eat.

Yui looked up from her book for a moment upon seeing Shunsuke enter. She'd never actually spoken to him. But that was far from unusual, she also only knew his name from other students. She didn't really talk to anyone. She sets her book down and places her hands around her warm tea. She takes a sip of her tea again, keeping her eyes on her untouched meal. She knew the moment she started to eat someone would say something to her. It never failed. She didn't know why it happened only that it was rather annoying at times. With a sigh she claps her hands over her food. "Ittatachimasu" She says quietly before breaking her chopsticks. As soon as the first bite of rice is in her mouth someone does approach her. Just as she knew they would.

"Hey Kobayashi, aren't you the daughter of Akira and Kenjiro Kobayashi?" A girl from her class asks rather excitedly. Yui lets out a sigh and sets her chopsticks down, looking up at the girl. "What does it matter who my parents are?" She says softly. "Because they are super famous! Akira is an amazing Pianist and Kenjiro is a famous actor. That means you are totally rich!" The girl says, sounding even more excited. "And the point to all this is that would make me rich?" She says, folding her arms. The look on her face was utterly clam, inside however she angry. This happened from time to time. She knew what the next words from the girl's mouth would be. "Yeah, so we should totally be friends!" The girl says. "No." Yui says, somehow managing to not sound rude. "Pardon me?" the girl says. "You heard me. I said no. I have no use for friendships based on such foul foundations. You simply want my family's wealth. I will speak no more with you about this. Put such foolish thoughts from your head and bother someone else." Yui says before returning to her meal. The girl clentches her fists and glares at Yui for a moment. "This is why you don't have any friends, Yui. You don't use your family's wealth to your advantage." She says before turning on her heel and leaving. "Why would I want to do that? Besides if anyone should offended it would be me...." Yui mutters to herself before looking down at her meal. This happened quiet often. Though she told no one who here parents were, they did find out from time to time. Though she never actually confirmed that she was their child.

She lets out a few calming breaths to rid herself of the anger she felt. She'd release her temper later, when she was alone. She had to eat first though. Only those close to Yui knew how bad her temper was, how violent it could be. She had few she would show that side to. Most simply knew her as the lazy bookish girl that was always so calm. If they knew the truth they wouldn't dare say half the things they did to her. But it was best they didn't. Yui preferred it this way. Keeping her attention her food she eats in silence, unless someone decided to come over to her or some such thing. Which was bound to happen. Yui did have that affect on people, much as tried to seem invisible. Something about her drew people as much as she hated it. She takes another bite of her food, though she could taste nothing due to the anger she still felt. So much for enjoying lunch.

Shunsuke eats his meal slowly in silence his mind wondering to his next class which happened to be his music hour, while he was far from gifted at it he did enjoy the act of making music, in particular being the violin, its cool sound and crisp echo seemed to calm him in times of trouble. He bites into one of the warm shrimp letting the fill flavor dance on his tongue. 'I suppose I should stop by the shouji club after class today' Shunsuke's after school hours were spent in various ways, though he was part of the kendo and mixed martial arts clubs he tended to go checked out to Shouji and go clubs as well, every once in awhile being treated to a match though only the teachers ever challenged him.

As he continues eating he could hear a conversation from two tables over, while he wasnt one for eavesdropping the names that one of them stated caught his attention, Kobayashi Akira, a world renowned pianist whose showed he would frequent with his mother as a child. 'her daughter?' it was well known the daughter of the Kobayshi family avoided the lime light unlike her parents, despite his mother being a fan this was the first he had ever seen of the child. He places his chopsticks on his tray and lifts the napkin from his lap wiping his mouth. After a few minutes of pondering he raises from his seat taking his tray and making his way to her table. "Excuse me but is this seat taken" he asks his voice low and calm as per normal, its tone soft and easy on the ears.

Yui was nothing like her parents. Sure she looked similar to the two of them, but personality wise she was very different. They both enjoyed the lime light and thrived in the attention. She hated it and wanted nothing to do with. She knew nothing good could come of it. Fame and fortune came with a price. Their lives were not private. Everything they did was scrutinized by the media. So Yui, after several bad encounters with the media as a child refused to have anything to do with her parents work. She rarely even went to see her mother's concerts. She loved her parents but that life just wasn't meant for her. She was better off in her books as far as she was concerned.

Yui looked up from her food at yet another person bothering her. Or at least that was what told herself. She hadn't expected to see who she did when she looked up. Her eyes widen in surprise for a moment before she answers. "Go ahead, I'm not going to stop you." She says softly, looking back down at her food. She was wondering why he had come over. She bit her tongue to keep from asking and takes a bite of her lunch. There were plenty of logical reasons for him asking such a reason. But she wasn't the most trusting of people, so she did ponder why he came over. She lets out a sigh and looks up at him before setting down her chopsticks. Damn curiosity. "Just why did you want to sit at this table anyways, if you don't mind me asking. Most people avoid me, I'm not exactly the most sociable of people." She says finally, looking at him again.
