tab This trait was implanted into her as a child by her grandmother. She was taught to wait instead of jumping ahead, taught that waiting gave rewards as well. As she grew up this trait became prominent in her everyday life. She never acted without listening to both sides of the story. The girl takes things without having much offense to it. In addition she’s also a very good listener and will become someone’s counselor if they really needed it.

tab Her heart is truly kind ever since her father gave her an open mind. She accepts people for who they are and does her best to not judge people by first appearances but it’s a natural instinct. She helps young and old, the rich and the poor. The girl does what she can to make someone’s day a little brighter even if it meant for a loss for her. Often times this meant sacrificing her time or happiness but making others happy makes her smile. She smiles practically all the time, it’s a little off putting.

tab All the lessons in manners gave her a sense of maturity that was above others. Due to this she never really spoke to people and others took it as snooty. As much as she tries to deny herself of it, in a sense it was just that. She preferably sticks to herself because she never found anyone she could touch base with. Her kind smile is the only thing that attracts them to her. She never really speaks out because she believes that others matter more than herself.

tab Due to how isolated she was as a child she learned to distance herself. She often dreams and distracts her mind with idle little words or notes. Among people in conversation she pays attention but she never really “attends” unless necessary. If anything she lets them chatter away since a lot of time people use her since she never speaks. Just an “object” to reflect their own voice they so eagerly desire to hear. She never really involves herself in anything but she tries hard to make it seem like she is.

tab At birth Zoraida’s voice had always been soft. Her voice is like a lullaby that can easily be overpowered by anyone. So she prefers not to talk at all unless she’s spoken to. Very rarely she has a loud voice and it’s only when she’s upset. She does her best to quiet and a lot of the time she doesn’t notice how quiet she really is. It has grown to the point where she actually has to wear bells so people know where she is.

★)) Once upon a time, some amount of years ago, two people were born into this world that were perhaps meant to meet. One was a male cook and the other, a female herbalist. The male worked in a restaurant, while he cooked dishes if needed he also provided desserts. The female owned a small medicine/flower shop that was in a small corner of the city. Whether it was by chance or fate, the two met when the cook was referred to the herbalist during a visit to the doctor's office. After several visits for medicine, the two became rather friendly with each other. Lunch together at cafes and movies dates proceeded to get intimate until finally after some number of years, the two got married. It was nothing too big but nothing too small, it was something just right for the two of them. It wasn't that long after their wedding that the two produced a beautiful little girl. A girl with some of the lightest blonde hair they've ever seen. A girl whose cries were some of the softest. This little girl is the protagonist of this story, Zoraida Burton.

★)) Zoraida was one of those children that were gifted with some of the kindest parents anyone could ever ask for. Her mother spoiled her with little bells and ribbons as reward symbol. These bells and ribbons became things she adored from the bottom of her heart, she loved to receive them with full acknowledgement that she was doing good. Her father on the other hand rewarded her with little pieces of candy and samples of his latest desert. However she became a little spoiled from all of this and when she had met her grandmother, on her mother's side, she was hit with rules she found strict.

★)) Grandma Agatha became the girl's instructor in manners, etiquette, and a little secret, magic. You see, the women of this herbalist's family were all born witches. The husband was already aware of this factor before the two were wed during the incident where he barged in while she was casting a spell… Either way, Grandma Agatha always scolded the little girl whenever she became too greedy in her presence. The old woman visited their apartment home often to tutor the little girl and result of this brought a mature girl. A girl while only ten, was extremely mature for her age. What backfired was how reserved the girl became, refusing to speak with others unless they brought the same amount of etiquette to the table. It made her fairly lonely.

★)) Such lonesome feelings never bothered the girl as she learned from the senior. The elder taught her to read, write, and speak in latin so that she could further her studies in the arcane. Her mother taught her botany, about medicine, and the earth. Her father, well her father never really knew where to put himself in the mix except morality. The father taught her that everyone was still a person, no matter their appearance, their lifestyle, their past, not even their blood defined them. Zoraida always believed her father's kindness towards others and she took that into her outlook of people. It made her more acceptable of people, more open minded and she thought it would help her gain friends. This wasn't the case.

★)) As she finally approached her adolescent years her powers got a little… wild. Sometimes she read aloud, while she did Latin would slip in and things.. happened. Small little things at first that she could cover with ease. However things she couldn't handle, people called her out on what she really was. Witch. While it was all teasing it terrified her, stories and all the warnings she received. To stop all the teasing she gradually skipped, she wouldn't appear for some classes. Then days, then months and during that time she was homeschooled mixed with online classes. Tutoring became an everyday thing and she graduated high school eventually. Grandma Agatha had an idea for not so little Zoraida.

★)) Arkwright University. A place where her kind was schooled and other races as well. It was an exciting idea and the child took to it quickly. Her parents however didn't really take to the idea. They worried about her ability to take to social environments with her powers still too raw. With some days of persuading they finally agreed and sent a letter. Turns out Zoraida was accepted because of her said raw power.
