Powers» 1.Physical Mind Control -> Reads minds but instead of hearing thoughts they are 'written' on her body, usually her arms. She literally reads a person's thoughts, often without meaning to (mostly due to being untrained/undertrained). In constant physical pain because of this (won't disappear even with training).
2. Minor Healing -> enough to close her wounds from reading minds, heal minor scrapes, cuts, and bruises. Can survive getting shot/stabbed to an extent (will live assuming she gets medical help within a [limited] few hours).
3. Cloaking -> Becomes invisible to the naked eye in the sense that the viewer 'forgets' having seen/thought of/heard the user/cloaked. Used to protect herself from thoughts of others, at the cost of headaches. Doesn't hide scent, so someone should be found that way, though they won't be seen. Limited use due to strain and radius, though mostly because she is untrained (at current time).
4. Danger Intution -> 6th sense in regards to her being aware if a person she meet has (high) potential do her harm or if there is a hidden danger. Won't know the details, just that she should be cautious. An example would be she would be extremely cautious around someone like Sabertooth - a feral mutant who could kill her in a moment, could easily loose control, and will be happy to do her in - but would calm down around someone like Ororo - who have enough control to not hurt her,even though they still could, and who have a calming, trustable vide to them. She wouldn't know that Sabertooth has superhuman strength and senses or that Ororo could control the weather. Mutants like Dr. McCoy or Kurt would be the ones who'd give an almost immediate idea of their powers upon encounter as they tend to "look the part" (Both are blue and furry, Hank being beastly while Kurt looks like a creature of lore).

⊗ Alert despite headaches, and is one of the first to spot danger/something out of the ordinary
⊗ Has a talent for electronics, specifically hacking (which she is teaching herself as a hobby).
⊗ Very good at looking up information, gathering facts and the like. Because of this, she's good at organizing and compiling research into speeches, essays, etc.
⊗ Oddly enough, isn't put off by death or corpses. Bambi also doesn't dwell in grief too long after loosing someone, instead pities those left behind. While the actions/events leading to the death might haunt her, the fact of death and seeing a corpse wouldn't be what affects her.

Weaknesses

⊗ Due to headaches and pain, has an addiction to painkillers and headache medication (Advil, Tylenol, etc)
⊗ Anemic, which causes issues when she looses a lot of blood and she doesn't do well with temperature changes and in extreme cases it could do serious damage. Currently taking medication (iron supplement) and on a diet (lots of juice and other fluids) to combat this.
⊗ Physically weak, and has an average endurance level (physically). Very easy to take in a fight.
⊗ Very little self confidence, she's easy to put down and she doesn't think much of herself. It is a vicious cycle of little confidence -> put down -> lower confidence - Rinse and repeat.
⊗ Due to her paranoia, it is hard for her to fully trust a person. She's mostly alone because of this.
⊗ She has a fear of the dark and of Opossums. She's easily frightened, and doesn't take well to horror genre or situations out of a horror game. (In certain cases, this will lead to a panic attack coupled with her cloaking and mind reading powers to go haywire [final extreme] )
⊗ Pretty cowardly and quick to flee. Mostly because she's not very strong.

General Information
▅▅▅▅▅▅ ▅▅▅▅▅ ▅▅▅▅▅▅▅

Personality» Bambi is a quiet, shy girl who, part because of past home life part because of mutation, is overtly cautious and paranoid. She keeps to herself, and tries to stay out of peoples way to avoid dispute. A wall flower and background character, she is easy to overlook even without the use of her cloaking ability. She lacks self confidence, and would rather run and hide instead of fight. Bambi is used to being alone, and though it is hard to open her up, once you do she'll make for a good friend to talk to when you're lonely or upset. She's not use to making and keeping long relationships of any sort, has trouble fully expressing herself, and stumbles over her words, often being unable to fully get her meaning across. Her main way of showing affection is through actions like sharing literature, movies, and making treats to show how much a person means to her.
Biography» Bambi never knew her father, and only knew her mother through stories and pictures her grandparents showed her. She was told that she died, but the truth was that Bambi's mother ran off shortly after having her. She was close to her grandparents, and while sad to have lost them at the tender age of ten, follows her promise to not be too sad as both her grandparents had led wonderful lives. It is because of this that Bambi isn't too put off with death and corpses. She has been bounced between foster homes since then, and doesn't have many friends depute all her foster siblings.

Bambi came into her mutation in parts, the first when she was placed in a foster home with neglectful and angry caretakers. She came into her cloaking ability then. A year later she gained her danger sense when a rather shady man tried to adopt her, leading her to run away using her cloaking ability. She was found a few weeks later and taken to a different foster home. During a school function in the auditorium, she came into her healing ability and mind reading when one of her classmates' thoughts began writing themselves on her arms. Again she ran from the school and was later removed from the home she was in. Since then, she has been using her cloaking ability and bandaging her arms to hide any abnormalities from view.

Since coming to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, Bambi has been rather indifferent to the situation. She sees it as 'just another house' that happens to double as a school, rather than a safe place for mutants. Bambi is skeptical on how safe the place is, and isn't too excited to explore her mutation simply because she can't see how it could be useful for anything other than hurting people. Still, she's willing to give anything a try if it could help her in the long run. Who knows, perhaps this will be the place that gets her to open up her own pages.

If one ever needs to find her, she is usually in either the library, Girl's Study Room, Study Hall, or out on the patio if the weather permits it. Bambi's an early riser as getting up while the majority of those around her are still asleep gives her enough time to go through her mourning routine without her having to cloak herself. She takes vitamins during or before breakfast and carries aspirin and painkillers during the day (taken when needed with water or juice). She's still in the habit of 'blending into the wall', and is usually surprised when one of the staff members or her fellow students talk to her.

❝ At first we didn't interact much, but we did bond over our love for cooking.
With what happened with the U-men … and an incident afterwards …
I feel she's one of the few I'm close to here at the institute.
She really does make this feel more like home, instead of "just another house."
She's helped me through quite a bit, just by being there and helping me keep my
mind off of … unpleasant thoughts. Siv kind of reminds me of one of the older foster kids
who would look out for me at one of the houses, and it is a familiarity I didn't know I missed.
She really makes me feel at home, and I hope we can get through some of the recipes in
Grandma's book together, maybe even add one ourselves! ❞

Fun Facts:

- Bambi's face is almost the same as her father's. They'd be nearly identical (face-wise) if Ares got sleep regularly. The only difference is that Bambi's is softer.

- Bambi gets deep dark circles if she goes without sleep for a few days. She'd basically look like Ares with curly hair and Blue eyes.

- Bambi, like her father, was blessed with the perfect Horror Movie Grade A set of lungs: She screams LOUD and for a LONG time.

- Bambi mirrors her mother in her trust issues. Because of the time when her powers emerged, Bambi's mother took to hiding and being overtly cautious as to avoid persecution and harm.

- Bambi is big on Disney, partly because of her name. Her grandparents were the ones to name her, and the cartoon "Bambi" was one of the first Disney films she saw. It holds a special place in her heart.

- Bambi's name means "young girl" and is derived from Italian bambina. American novelist Marjorie Benton Cooke used it in her novel 'Bambi' in 1914. Her name follows her father's family's name pattern: they relate to literature.

- "Bambi" was also the name of the Deer from the Disney film of the same name, which was based on a 1923 novel by Swiss author Felix Salten.

- Bambi'd middle name "Leto" is possibly derived from Greek ληθω (letho) meaning "hidden, forgotten", this relates to her cloaking ability and her need to hide/be forgotten. In Greek mythology, "Leto" was the mother of Apollo and Artemis by Zeus.

- Bambi has her mother's last name: Blair. The name comes from any one of several of this place name in Scotland, which derives from Gaelic blur meaning "plain, field, battlefield".

- Bambi was born August 4th.

"YOU and YOUR group storm into OUR house, capture OUR people and YOU have the ******** NERVE to ask US where YOU ARE?!"

xXx Bambi jolted from her happy place by Mr. McCoy's shouting and her body getting its familiar ache, a dull ring resuming its duty now that there wasn't anything to keep it at bay. At first she didn't know what to make of it, and seeing her normally kind teacher live up to the codename "Beast" shook her up more so than the return of her powers. She closed her book and silently placed it to the side. It served as a poor distraction from Dr. McCoy's shouting.

"BAMBI!! Get over here, and use your power. READ his mind, tell me where they are!!"

xXx Bambi quickly scrambled up and approached her teacher on shaking legs. "I-I've never actually… I m-m-mean I never… I've n-never t-tried to, to…" Bambi felt tears sting her eyes, and her shaking increased. She played with the ends of her shirt, averting her eyes from her teacher.

xXx Bambi yelped as the blue furred mutant grabbed her arm and pulled her closer to him and the captive U-men soldier. "Bambi this is IMPORTANT. I NEED YOU. YOU HAVE to do this…" Bambi kept her head down, feeling sick and hurt all over. But the thought of disappointing Dr. McCoy and Ms. Vendela was enough to get her to start taking deep, shaky breaths to try and calm down. With some help, her sleeves was pushed up as far as they could without the need to rip them off and her bandages were undone, leaving bare skin in view. She took several more calming breaths, partly to buy time and partly to figure out how in the world she was supposed to go about doing this. Finally, she settled on out stretching her arms, focusing her attention on them and not the armored soldier in front of her, and willed thoughts to appear.

xXx Which wasn't the right thing to do at all. Too many people were around and too many thoughts carved themselves into her flesh. None of it made sense, sentences and ideas were cut off or smashed with a thought from someone else, and random words were larger than others. All it served to do was cut up Bambi's arms and make one ugly, bleeding, painful mess. It was disgusting and hurt too much, Bambi couldn't take it. She cried out from the pain and clutched her arms close, scrunched up her eyes and small tears broke free.

xXx She cloaked. She wanted to run away, to disappear. She wished she had never agreed to come to the school. She wiped her bloodstained arms on her shirt, ultimately ruining the originally white garment. Her arms managed to heal, not a visible trace of the mess that was there before. The ache was still there, slightly. As well as a headache, now. Bambi wrapped her arms around herself, wanting to just curl up and disappear.

xXx "Bambi? Sweetie?" Came the voice of Ms.Vendela. "Sweet heart, I know you're scared. But could you please try again? We really need to find out where they took everyone. You did very good for your first try! If it hurts too much, you can stop. No matter what Hank says." Bambi could hear the older woman step closer to her general area. She couldn't tell where Bambi was exactly, as there wasn't anything to give her away. Dr. McCoy probably knew she hadn't moved, but he made no move towards her, for which she was glad. She sniffled, felt her lower lip tremble, and barely managed to choke back a sob.

xXx It was the soldier's voice that got her. "What monsters you all are. What is she, a child? Forcing her to use her vile mutation, it would have been a saving grace if she had been taken. Would have spared her the pain," the man chuckled. His voice sounded like metal, and was as cold as arctic air. "At least it would be painless then, mostly. Possibly. It wouldn't have mattered after a time, she'd be a pile of bones and skin when we were done."

xXx She hated him. She hated his voice, and how smug he was, and how he was taking joy in the thought of what was happening to those that had gotten captured. She hated how he was mocking her. She hated him and his group for invading the mansion, for stressing her out and scaring her like this, for being the reason why she was being forced to use her powers. She hated him, she hated him, she hated him.



xXx When Bambi dropped her cloak, she was staring the soldier down, eyes ablaze with rage. Her arms were outstretched towards Hank, her full attention on the evil man in front of her. She tried to will him to split open and spill out every secret he had hidden away. She wanted him to open up and give her whatever information he could. She wanted this to be over already.

xXx 'Open up. Open up, open up, open up,' she commanded. 'Open up and let me read you. Give me what I want to know. Open damn it.' She glared, the man averted his gaze and turned his head away, trying to look anywhere else but at the girl in front of him. 'You're nothing but a book who's brand new, who has never been read before. You're spine is stiff, but it can still be bent. It just needs a little effort. God damn, just open up and spill your contents already.'

xXx The man shook, and for a moment Bambi truly thought that he was going to split in half and literally spill his contents all over the floor. She wasn't sure if it would make her feel better or not, and was a little disappointed when he simply slumped his form. But she felt the familiar ache of words writing themselves on her outstretched arms, which was reward enough she supposed. It was what was wanted after all. She kept her focus on the slumped man in front of her, and tried to imagine that she was really flipping through the pages of his mind. That he had split open like a book did when someone read it. That the ache in her arms were what a notebook felt when one tattooed notes within it.

xXx Bambi continued to focus, to do what she did well and what was familiar: gather information. She focused on areas, on descriptions of places he's been to and seen. She kept her breathing slow and deep, to starve off anything distracting until she had gotten what she needed. Part of her mind told her that Hank was writing down everything she was gathering, copying the bloody notes written in her flesh, and that Ms. Vendela was near-by, offering her silent support. When Bambi was able to pry out images, simple maps made from one soldier's memory, she knew they wouldn't fit on her skinny arms. Not to be accurate enough to be of use. They needed to be put somewhere else.

xXx With a deeper, shakier breath, Bambi pulled one arm away from her teacher. "I- I found m-m-maps … Th-they're by memory but-" She broke off. Her voice was distracting with its shaking, stutter, and hoarse sound. She reverted her attention to the soldier, focused on the images made from memory, then lifted her shirt to reveal her stomach. On the larger canvas available, the rather simplified map drew itself into public view.

xXx She waited unit Hank told her that he had gotten everything. She was so proud of herself, of being able to do something useful that benefitted everyone. Her rage was gone and although she hurt everywhere and was pretty sure her anemia was going to bite her in the rear soon she was proud of herself. She gazed down at her arm and stomach, wanting to see the fruit of her pains and how she had done for her first time actively using her mutant abilities. As her gaze met with the blood and red, angry lines scattered on her body, Bambi Leto Blair froze and the outside world ceased to exist.

4. Danger Intution -> 6th sense in regards to her being aware if a person she meet has (high) potential do her harm or if there is a hidden danger. Won't know the details, just that she should be cautious. An example would be she would be extremely cautious around someone like Sabertooth - a feral mutant who could kill her in a moment, could easily loose control, and will be happy to do her in - but would calm down around someone like Ororo - who have enough control to not hurt her,even though they still could, and who have a calming, trustable vide to them. She wouldn't know that Sabertooth has superhuman strength and senses or that Ororo could control the weather. Mutants like Dr. McCoy or Kurt would be the ones who'd give an almost immediate idea of their powers upon encounter as they tend to "look the part" (Both are blue and furry, Hank being beastly while Kurt looks like a creature of lore).

Personality» Bambi is a quiet, shy girl who, part because of past home life part because of mutation, is overtly cautious and paranoid. She keeps to herself, and tries to stay out of peoples way to avoid dispute. A wall flower and background character, she is easy to overlook even without the use of her cloaking ability. She lacks self confidence, and would rather run and hide instead of fight. Bambi is used to being alone, and though it is hard to open her up, once you do she'll make for a good friend to talk to when you're lonely or upset. She's not use to making and keeping long relationships of any sort, has trouble fully expressing herself, and stumbles over her words, often being unable to fully get her meaning across. Her main way of showing affection is through actions like sharing literature, movies, and making treats to show how much a person means to her.
Biography» Bambi never knew her father, and only knew her mother through stories and pictures her grandparents showed her. She was told that she died, but the truth was that Bambi's mother ran off shortly after having her. She was close to her grandparents, and while sad to have lost them at the tender age of ten, follows her promise to not be too sad as both her grandparents had led wonderful lives. It is because of this that Bambi isn't too put off with death and corpses. She has been bounced between foster homes since then, and doesn't have many friends depute all her foster siblings.

Bambi came into her mutation in parts, the first when she was placed in a foster home with neglectful and angry caretakers. She came into her cloaking ability then. A year later she gained her danger sense when a rather shady man tried to adopt her, leading her to run away using her cloaking ability. She was found a few weeks later and taken to a different foster home. During a school function in the auditorium, she came into her healing ability and mind reading when one of her classmates' thoughts began writing themselves on her arms. Again she ran from the school and was later removed from the home she was in. Since then, she has been using her cloaking ability and bandaging her arms to hide any abnormalities from view.

Since coming to Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, Bambi has been rather indifferent to the situation. She sees it as 'just another house' that happens to double as a school, rather than a safe place for mutants. Bambi is skeptical on how safe the place is, and isn't too excited to explore her mutation simply because she can't see how it could be useful for anything other than hurting people. Still, she's willing to give anything a try if it could help her in the long run. Who knows, perhaps this will be the place that gets her to open up her own pages.

If one ever needs to find her, she is usually in either the library, Girl's Study Room, Study Hall, or out on the patio if the weather permits it. Bambi's an early riser as getting up while the majority of those around her are still asleep gives her enough time to go through her mourning routine without her having to cloak herself. She takes vitamins during or before breakfast and carries aspirin and painkillers during the day (taken when needed with water or juice). She's still in the habit of 'blending into the wall', and is usually surprised when one of the staff members or her fellow students talk to her.
