Being a teen, Xerxes is driven purely by hormones. Although he does flirt often and has his fair share of affairs, Xerxes is not a twisted sadist nor is he a careless sleeper. Being sixteen is a bliss to him, as Xerxes knows very well that most women leap at the chance to be carriers of royal blood, and while he does epitomize sex over love, he is still, sad to say, an unexperienced virgin. The prince is cute in the way he contradicts his actions. He plays the part of a wolfish womanizer, and sometimes, it is hard to tell that Xerxes isn't really one.
In truth, he is nothing more than a naive teenager. Although he acts sweet and exaggerates his acts of kindness in the most cliche way possible, the so-called 'flirt' will be weak in the knees in the face of sexiness, however strange it may seem to any healthy male. He is delicate as well and is easily offended and taken by surprise. When he's pissed, it's fairly obvious that he's fuming inside, as the young prince cannot pull off masking his anger just yet.
And as said before, Xerxes hasn't gone much farther than hugging or kissing, although he does make attempts to do so, pretending that he has knowledge of what comes after and whatnot. In that aspect of him -- his contradictory character, the overly flirtatious gentleman and the naive teenager, -- is simply amusing.
▸ Biography |
Despite being born out of wedlock, Xerxes wasn't really traumatized or held-back by his blood. Well, he was in a sense, but the prince's life was not in danger so much as the royal couple's reputations. Not wanting there to be news about his biological mother, the Queen's, affairs, as the King and Queen too were an arranged couple, Xerxes was kept away from the outside to prevent others from making comparisons between he and his brothers. How else can a blonde male be related to a black-haired one and a teal-haired one? Surely something must have happened on the way?
Up until reaching fifteen, Xerxes was nothing more than a prince who was kept from the outside. Although he was entertained by the same things his brothers were entertained by, he wanted to do something more. He was the type of boy to try and assert his dominance over the others, yet being seven at the time while his older brothers were hitting eleven and higher didn't help his chances much. Giving up on surpassing his brothers physically, he set his sight upon being the first to make it outside. Following some examples shown by lusty guard he observed from his window, Xerxes, at age fourteen, made advances towards, at first, servants, and then later, guards. With the pretty-boy looks of the Spade Family, he was able to charm his way out, of course, under the defeated eye of a female guard.
By his way of acting and his superfluous over-the-top mannerisms, one might think that the adventurous teen has been out trekking about since birth. However, the moment he was introduced to the outside world and seeing the power he can hold over others transformed him -- making him more of a Casanova and a romanticist to boot.

▸ Hidden Information | Although nobody other then his mother knows, he Xerxes was born out of wedlock. He is related to his brothers for sure, but he does not have the features that belong to his mother or his self-proclaimed father. Secondly, his last name, Sema, thought to be his middle name to an outsider, is his biological father's last name. A final little tidbit about him: Xerxes is bi-curious, but he loves women too much to admit that he has an interest in that sort of thing. He doesn't see how two members of the same gender could possibly enjoy themselves together, after all, how will they have se -- that question, is just one of the more prominent reasons as to why he's not bisexual, but he's curious about the act.
