Robyn could only stare in shock as the half-wolf turned cold and silently angry. She watched him storm out the door after his tirade. Her ears laid back as she kept looking at the door in confusion. What had she said?

Considering it was only a change in mood and not a switch in personality, she wasn't extremely concerned, although she was curious. But her nose brought her back to the food in front of her, which, now that she wasn't talking, she finished off quite quickly.

After thanking the innkeeper, she headed to her room, which, thank god of gods, had a bath. Filling the tub with steaming hot water, she also filled the sink with cold water, placing her clothes in there with some soap to clean them slightly.

As she washed, slowly, and just relaxing, she pondered their conversation. She'd told the truth, she'd been doing fine, if not extremely well against the cre-...Terir, before she'd practically shattered her ankle. The fox-girl was rather proud of herself; it'd been her best fight since she'd come out of her mini-retirement. And that fight would always have a different quality than anything in the tournament she was so eager to participate in. There, the threat was, while not never, at the very most, not usually deadly.

She didn't know about the rule that competitors couldn't kill anyone. So the fight with Terir could have ended in death for her, making her that much more spirited in the fight.

But that still didn't explain why Rylen had gotten so worked up over it. Maybe he thought she was bragging? Usually, she didn't, and if she did, it had some form of the truth in there, like when they'd first met.

The fox-girl scoffed, sinking under the water to soak her dirt-laden hair.

"It's not like he could be jea-"

Robyn nearly facepalmed herself under the water. Duh! Here this guy was, talking about how he'd been tracking him for ages, and had been trying to kill him, and here she was talking about how it was almost a walk in the park for her. Well, the word wouldn't be jealous, persay, but yeah, that was mostly likely it. Or at least a part of it. For all she knew, she'd struck a chord concerning his past with the beast that was totally unrelated to her thought process.

She sighed and rose back up out of the water, rubbing it out of her eyes. She finished a few minutes later and drained the fixture, grabbing a nearby towel as well and drying herself off. She felt much better now that she was clean. Too bad she didn't have anything to sleep in, but it wasn't that big of a deal. Oh, that reminded her.

The fox-girl made sure to drain her clothes and press as much water out of them as possible, before hanging them up in order to dry while she slept. Now for her hair. She was not sleeping with it wet, that was for sure. She smirked, a pointed fang showing as she cocked her head to the side, allowing her damp hair to be falling straight down. Bringing a hand up, she held it a few inches away and concentrated. Her hand suddenly burst into flame, although not a very powerful one. Using that, she slowly ran the heated limb around her hair, until it was completely dry, then returning her hand to it's normal state. Ah, the benefits of powers.

Robyn yawned, her arms stretching out to the sides. Time for bed. She crawled into the narrow structure, and while it certainly wasn't the most comfortable thing in the world, it certainly wasn't a dirt floor either. Curling up, she had only to wait a few moments before exhaustion and relaxation took it's toll on her, and she fell soundly asleep.
