"Inhale the future, Exhale the past."

        Personality
As Daddy's Little Girl, Tessa cherishes family above all other things in her life. She's good of nature and is a very sweet young woman once you get to know her. Even when telling hard truths she uses kinder words to convey them. She's gracious and will never be seen doing anything un-lady-like. As her Father's daughter, Tessa's very creative and is capable of thinking outside of the box.

Tessa's very sensitive overall, and though she may not always show it, she could get hurt easily by other people's words. She's very innocent, despite several past encounters with what seems like bad people, and she believes in good. She's independent and can very well fend for herself, but she doesn't like being in the front. In addition, she's a team player and works well with others under pressure.

Recent events led Tessa to isolate herself from other people, which may make them think she's a snob. They would never know the real her, and how selfless she is, up to the point she takes care of her loved ones before herself. The truth is she HATES being along... But she would hate it more if people got hurt because of her.

        Biography
Prolog: Tomen Vargas was a simple man who could never use any kind of magic, but he made up for the gap with a passionate spirit and creative alternatives. When he met Cybill Zephyrus, the Weather Mage, for the first time 20 years ago, he knew she'll be the love of his life, the mother of his child/ren. As time passed by the 2 got closer, and at one point the man decided to create a Mages Guild called 'Diviner's Fane'. Its purpose was to be a safe Haven for Cybill (Which he ADORED) and other Magic-Users in the area. As the years passed, more wizards and witches joined the guild. They weren't many, but they felt like family. One of the first recruits was Alaric Zephyrus - Cybill's big brother who uses speed magic. The mage never approved of his sister and the "mundane" man to be together, thinking the guy was never good enough for her. To his dismay, the 2 got married (Tomen took Cybill's last name) and had a little baby girl; Theresa Zephyrus.

Tessa was known to being capable of using magic from a young age, which made her uncle very fond of her. Since childhood, she used to hang out with him and her mother and learned a LOT from them both, but the truth is she was always Daddy's little girl. He nourished not just her Magic Abilities, but thinking outside of the box, as well as other useful tricks. When she was 6, Tessa joined the guild as a full-fledged member who grew on almost everyone. The exceptions were 2 Mages with radical opinions about using their magic, ones very different from Tomen's ideals.

Over the years Tessa grew stronger in both mind and body; A lot of it thanks to Alaric's guidance. He cherished her, teaching her everything he can about life, as well as training her to be a better mage. When she wasn't practicing her magic, Tessa made herself a side hobby, drawing on Canvas. As her Magic Abilities grew, so does her Artistic ones, 'till she eventually taught herself a new drawing technique - using her own Air Magic to spread the colors. Secretly, of course! She didn't have many friends her age since she was the youngest at the Guild and spent most of her time there.

The silver-haired girl led a rather normal life as much as expected from a magic-user until she was 12, when her mother and the 2 'radical' mages went out on a dangerous mission. The 2 men barely returned from it, absent the weather witch. According to them, Cybill was killed by a Wyvern. That was the last straw as far as Alaric's concerned. He blamed Tomen in killing his only sister and proclaimed he can't assign mages to the mission if he can't use magic himself, as well as other accusations. Tomen, who was devastated by the loss of his wife, decided to quit the guild, along with Tessa, who took her mother's death pretty hard too. The only comfort for them both was having each other's comfort. ❤

Since then the guild changed its name to 'Wyvern's Fang' and its ideology turned upside down. The people Tessa once called family left one after the other, and the guild's ranks filled with dark mages. The girl got to see her Uncle Alaric less and less until the bond was severed. Up to the present time, she still thinks about her mother every single day, and sometimes wonders what became of her beloved uncle. She keeps evolving as a mage undercover and is trying to learn all kinds of techniques regarding her Air Magic. She spends most of her time with her father and tries to enjoy life as much as possible in the peaceful town of Hargeon.

        Theme Song

        Magic Type
Caster Magic - Air Manipulation (Later on Electricity Magic, too)

        Fighting Style
Considering Tessa's magic involving the air around her, and the fact that she has no Hand to Hand combat knowledge, she prefers to attack from afar. As of now, her Abilities are super limited, due to the magical collar around her neck.

Tessa's a mage who "plays nice" while fighting... Most of the time. She'll try avoiding surprising her foes with attacks and would try avoiding using "dirty" air abilities, like suffocating or blowing the target up. She'll only use those if she'd feel pushed to the corner and have no other option.

        Magical Abilities
Tessa uses Air Magic for all kinds of purposes; Offensive, Defensive, Supportive, Etc. She can use her power to either boost a target's speed or slow them down. She can also provide or transfer air supply when needed and make herself (and others) fly.

          Strong Sense of Smell [Passive]
As odors spread through Air, Tessa's able to sense them more clearly than others can.
(Could also work against her if the scent is too strong or un-bearable)

          Levitating
Tessa can create small flows of air to lift her target/s above the ground.

          Windy Rush
A boost for speed and instincts to selected targets.

          Windy Silence
A debuff of slowness to selected targets (Makes it harder for them to move).

          Air Shield
Tessa creates some kind of Air-wall to stop her opponent's attack from hitting her.

          Air Crescent
A Crescent-shaped Air-based attack meant to protect Tessa from other attacks as well as reflect those back to her foe.

          Air Shot
Tessa shoots a blast of Air at her surroundings (Rocks, branches, etc.) and uses them against her foe.

Not too far from the Land of the Natural Grounds a hooded silver-haired girl was making her way to just that - her destination. Surrounded by green beautiful scenery, she could already see the huge winged beasts roaming the skies from afar. They were marvelous! She never got to see a real Dragon before, only in books or hear about them in tales. The Dragons alone could be a good enough reason for anyone to make such lengths - the hope of seeing one with their own eyes.

Sadly for Tessa, it wasn't the reason she left home less than 2 weeks ago and traveled all the way from Hargeon Town to the Natural Grounds. As fate had it, the poor girl ended up at the wrong place in the wrong time, just long enough to learn about an evil scheme being plotted by Dark Mages from the Wyvern's Fang Guild and Demons from Tartaros. Ever since they found out she overheard them, they've been chasing after her. They knew if she'd tell the wrong person what she knows, it could ruin all of their plans, so they went in for the kill. That was the last time she saw her father last, to her dismay. Once she learnt how destructive and dangerous they are, she was forced to leave him behind in order to keep him safe. She knew she wouldn't forgive herself if something were to happen to him and couldn't risk it.

A sudden breeze passed by, waving the girl's hair while caressing her with the soft smell of Azalea flowers. This reminded her of a woman she somewhat met not too long ago, who had the same scent, along with a strong aroma of something Tessa only smelt once before; Upon over-hearing the Wyverns and Demons scheming. That woman was beautiful, accompanied by what seemed like a masked dark mage male. Before knocking her unconscious, the pair left Tessa with a 'gift'; A collar to her neck, which prevented her from using her magic, one she couldn't take off ever since.

It's been over a week and Tessa's still having a hard time getting used to a life without magic... Not to mention the dark mages that occasionally been tracking her and trying to kill her... Less so since she had the collar on though, she'll have to admit. Still, the silver-haired girl wouldn't want to not be able to use her gift for the rest of her days. She hopes that in the Natural Lands she could find someone strong enough to be able to hear about the evil plans as well as remove the constant threat to her life. Then she would finally be free to find a way to remove the collar and maybe even return home, to her beloved father, who must be worrying SICK!

As the hooded young woman kept walking towards the town's gates, she found herself gasping at the sight of the floating islands. That setting was new to her as well. 'It must be magic that keeps them so high up at all times.' She thought to herself, taking a minute to appriciate the spectacle of wide skies decorated by the huge Dragons flying loosely around the unusual isles. It was truly breath-taking. Once Tessa returned her gaze back to the road, she could already see a figure standing just outside the town's gates.

After a short while, upon arriving at her destination, at last, she was greeted by a man wearing a dark blue suit with touches of red. The truth is she wasn't expecting this warm welcome, and past experience taught her to be cautious towards new people. After quickly scanning him with her eyes, she came to the conclusion he seemed nice, probably not someone related to the Wyverns in any way. The design on his belt caught her attention. 'Is that his Guild Stamp Emblem?' She used to have one herself. These were good peaceful times. Oh, how she misses those days now; Having her mother around, her uncle, a handful of mages she could call her 'family'... But that's long gone and has been for a while. She learned to accept that.

"Thank you." The young woman replied with a soft smile, as a response to the man's greeting. Next, the guy asked her what brought her to town. For a while, she's conflicted about how much to tell him, if at all. Should she really reveal to him the real reason she arrived at the Natural Grounds? Saying too much might put the poor guy at risk. People already got hurt before because of her not-so-accurate judgment. She'll have to know he's strong enough to handle himself, first.

Whichever it'll be, it's not a good enough reason to be rude to someone who was nice enough to greet her upon arriving at the town's gates. She didn't grow up in the Wilds, the man deserved that, at least. "I'm Tess." The white-haired girl partly introduced herself. She figured the less he'll know, the better, and that includes her name. For BOTH their sakes. "I came to the Natural Grounds for sight-seeing." The beautiful newcomer explained, as she already went it through in her head at least ten times on her way here. She then steadied the hood on her head and neck, making sure most of her hair and the collar are well-hidden before entering the town. Lastly, Tessa glanced over her shoulder in a nonchalant matter to make sure she wasn't followed here.

As Yashiro intreduced himself as a scholar, Tessa didn't seem surprised. She figured it might be something of the sort based on his appearance; especially his notion. He mentioned he's part of the Bahamuts Dragoons Guild, and she realizes she was right about his Emblem. For a brief moment she wondered about them, what they're like, until he talked about how peaceful and varied this area is and the girls' eyes beamed. 'Maybe NOW they'll stop harassing me and I can finally be free of them evil souls.' She hopefully though, but was still worried about the secret she learned about. Apart for it being dangerous, it was only a matter of time before they'll be able to excecute their plans, and she'll have to tell someone about it soon.

Next Yashiro referred to her being in-sincere and she lowers her gaze, distressed. It's as if he could see right through her. Tessa said nothing at this point, neither verifying or disproving Yashiro's claim. 'I hate treating him like this when he's been nothing but kind to me... If he only knew.' She sighed and didn't look in his eyes again until he mentioned Demons as one of the things their Guild has been dealing with. Unintentionally the silver-haired girl immediately raised her eyes back to look at his, and for a second she wondered if he knew what he was talking about.

She couldn't tell, as he then goes on about picking a guild member from Hargeoun, and as he turned to look in that direction, Tessa did the same. The girl instantly remembered her father and sighed. She really wished she didn't have to leave like that, but he was her only family now. She HAD to keep him safe. She was deep in thought when the man suddenly turned to her again, saying he was re-assigned and must be on his way... Not before he repeats his offer regarding his guild and bids her farewell. In that moment of weakness, as she misses and worried about her father, Tessa was trying really hard not to say anything about the situation she found herself in.

It took all of her strength to reply; "I'll keep that in mind. Thank you for your help, Yashiro-San. Adieu." With that the newcomer, who was now alone, made her way through the city gates and into the busy streets. She could already see the diversity in the population, some humans, others not, in what seemed like an open market. It amazed her. As she made her way down the road, different merchants offered all kinds of goodies to her, which she kindly refused. It was all so colorful, noisy (in a good way) and those smells!! Like a mixture of perfumes, edibles... Even races! She enjoyed those the most, feeling lucky that she could AT LEAST keep her unique sense of smell despite the damn collar preventing her from using any kind of magic. The girl was holding her trusted fan in her right hand, just to feel more confident - something she lacked since the powerful 'jewel' was forced on her, as she made her way through the crowds.

The hooded young woman keept checking up the stalls, fascinated. She was just about to get to a scarves and cowls one, which she thought would make a better cover for her collar than the hood she was currently wearing. Out of nowhere she suddenly heard a guy's loud voice; "You!" Tessa froze right there and then. Was she spotted?! Did they find her and are now making their move, so soon and in such a crowded place?! Such a bad timing! She's currently unable of defending herself against other mages. Sure, she has some tricks up her sleeve, ones she learned from her 'mundane' father, but it wasn't enough against the Wyverns. Her heart skipped a beat, as she slowly turned around just in time to see the colorful young man crashing into the small cabbage shop. While the person was reganing his senses, Tessa studied him; The first 2 things she noticed about him were his unconventional hair color, as well as horns! 'Is he a demon?!' She started to panic as the Wyverns never sent a demon to chase her before!

A quick sniff in his direction indicated he wasn't a demon... But he was no human, either. As her eyes perceived the same Guild Stamp as Yashiro, she let out a sigh of relief. From what she knows so far, they seemed like good guys, and when the guy stood up with a cabbage stuck on one of his horns, he looked nothing BUT friendly... Until he kept yelling how she's new in town when all she ever tried to do was laying low. The young man's shouting made her pull her hood forward to cover as much of her hair as possible, hoping to still save what's left of her anonymity. He then confirmed to her what she already knew, that he's one of the Dragoons, and she started wondering; 'Is this some kind of sign I should ask for their help? Or maybe they're just roaming every part of the city?' Tessa was always one to believe in signs, and this time was no different. She didn't mind the check-up, as it looks like their territory and the last thing she wanted was to cause trouble.

"Go right ahead." The white-haired girl approved, but only since she didn't know what the guy had in mind. Two seconds later he was sniffing(!) her face from up close, and she turned redder than a strawberry at its prime! "Is it common around here just sniffing other people without a warning?" She quietly asked, her cheeks still burning. Hargeon town is pretty close to the Natural Grounds, can the culture be so different from what Tessa's known her whole life?? Luckily for her, the talking cat's reaction answered her question and another sigh of relief escaped her lips. 'Wait, a talking cat? Is this normal?' This town almost looked like a different country to her... It'll take her some time to get used to.

When the young man mentioned he might have seen her before, she tries to remember if they ever met. Before she does, though, another person arrives at the scene; A mysterious girl about her age looking pretty normal... If you don't pay attention to her fox ears, tail, and wings! Is she acquaintance with the dapper guy and talking red cat? Is Tessa the only normal person in this town? She honestly began to think so. Even so, she didn't feel like she wanted to be alone right now, and from what she'd already seen, the guy and his pet seemed nice. "Have you guys been living here for long?" She now turned to all three of them, managing a smile despite her insecurity right now, "Because I could really use a tour to know all the important places in town. That is if you're free, of course." Tessa didn't want to cause trouble to anyone, but in reality, she WAS new in the area and could use the company too.

After having 0 sense of personal space, the somewhat foxy girl and the red cat apologized to Tessa on the guy's behalf. "No apology needed. I was just startled, that's all." She replied with a tiny smile, figuring he didn't do it to harm her. Shaekri then goes and make an introduction to the silver-haired girl, who again failed to show manners. This wasn't like her. Could very well be the stress she's currently under. "I'm Tess. It's a pleasure to meet you all." She said as she memorized to herself everyone's names. The one called Blaze then explained that the guy Himitsu used to live in Holy Castle Grounds some time ago, and the Air Mage can't help but wonder how can a magic-user (Which he obviously is) live in territoy where magic considered such a huge crime that could even get you killed upon being caught.

It didn't last long though, as Shae used a storm spell on the young man. 'That spell! It looks really similar to one of Mother's spells. Is she a Weather Mage too?' With that thought, Tessa took a mental note to ask her about it later on. The spell had its downside though, as the horned guy was now soaked to the bone. At that point, Tessa thought it was too much, but didn't say anything still. It wasn't her place, and for all she knew those two could be teasing each other on a daily basis.

When the earth shook, the response of the-already-Natural-Ground-residents' made her think it happens often around here. After it was gone, Blaze turned to her again and explained that Himitsu's not in the mood to join them in the tour right now, and her face softened. 'Such a shame,' She thought to herself, 'He looked like good company to have.' She traced the cat pulling his owner(?) away from them with her eyes until she realized Himitsu's scent still lingered close to her cheek, where he held his face up so close to hers. The girl quickly turned her gaze away from them both, her cheeks burning red, and used Shae's reply as a subject changer. She was happy the girl was willing to show her around, it was already a good starting point, though she didn't like as much the idea of going to the center of danger. Worst case scenario, if the two girls come across Wyverns', they could get away before something bad happens, right..?

"Sounds like a plan. Lead the way, please?" Tessa was still unsure about doing it, but from her point of view, it was either that or be left alone to explore the town. She REALLY didn't want to be alone after spending 3 days in a non-urban area, far from other people's company. Besides, it's always best to learn about a new place from someone who already knows it. As the pair of young women started walking towards the source of the tremors, Tessa couldn't stop herself anymore and turned to her town guide; "Pardon my straightforwardness, but I couldn't help but notice. Are you a Weather Mage?" The subject was close to the long-haired girl's heart. Her mother may have died 6 years ago, but she's still and will always be a HUGE part of Tessa's life.

The long-haired girl was observing the winged-fox mage when the latter demonstrated her abilities. Tessa was intrigued, it's not every day she gets to see such a unique-looking mage in action. She tried to make the connection between the 2 spells used, when Shae finally dropped the bomb; She actually uses Soul Magic. The Air Mage still didn't quite get what it meant yet. She curiously watched the shorter-haired girl phasing her hand through the wall, just like she did with Himitsu earlier, and then gets to hear more of Shae's answer; Appearently she's feasting on dead people's souls, sometimes even get to have their magical abilities.

'Surely she's not using real souls, right?' Tessa wondered and stopped walking for a minute, processing the rest of Shae's explanations. Only a few seconds later she hurries and catches up to her. "So you're killing them for the second time? That's terrible." There was no hiding it, Tessa was disturbed. It was the kind of magic she thought only bad guys like the ones from the Wyvern's Fang have, not decent mages who reach out to those who need help. She couldn't help but feel sorry for all the poor unfortunate souls that got caught up in her claws. At this point Tessa doesn't even consider the possibility her Mother might one of them.

While the 2 kept walking and the Air Mage wondered about her companion's magic, the latter turned to her, asking her about her own magic. Tessa considered her words for a minute, and then replied: "Well, I usually use Air-Magic." She then takes a pause, wondering if she should tell Shae about her collar, as she subconsciously making sure her cloak hides it well. "Lately, not so much." She continued while smiling as if to hide how helpless she feels without her magic... Like she's constantly suffocated, almost like a fish outside of water. She ended up keeping that piece of information to herself, as she felt uncomfortable telling about it to someone she just met 5 minutes ago... Not to mention someone with THIS kind of magic. She then refrained from saying another word regarding the subject.

Soon the pair arrived at the designated spot where the mini-earthquake took place, only to find a VERY tall man holding a hammer and covered in blood and internal organs. All around him laid what looked like a HUGE dead worm, which Shae absorbed only a few seconds later - leaving no trace of the monster. Tessa's eyes widened a bit, as she was still kinda shaken. She didn't expect to see the grotesque magic in action, and so soon after she learned about it. She instinctively covered her mouth with her hand, feeling pretty much uncomfortable. Not to mentioned Shae then nonchalantly addressed the man and introduced them, as if nothing happened.

On top of it all, the man thanked Shae and tapped on her shoulder. He later asked the girls if they knew where he can get a beer or a smoke, and Tessa started feeling a bit overwhelmed. None of it appealed to her and it only doubled her insecurities regarding her un-useable magic and being chased down by dark mages. For the first time the long-haired girl started to wonder why she came here... Of course, she heard all about the Natural Grounds' variety, and even tried to picture it in her mind a few times, but she didn't know HALF of it. It took all of her inner strength to put on a weak smile and after taking a deep breath, she replied to the man's question; "I wouldn't know, I'm afraid. I just got here too."

Before heading to the guild, Tessa watched Shaekri as she put a hand on the big man's chest and lingered. After a while her eyes started to glow and eventually the Soul-Ripper cut off contact and licked her lips. It seemed like the two shared a moment and even made a contract regarding his future demise. It's like the long-haired girl didn't fit in, and Shae's excitment about the mentioned contract didn't help. Next the fox-featured mage kept acting weird by walking forward and talking to herself(?). Tessa observed quietly while trying to figure out what's going on... When suddenly what looked like the huge worm's soul appeared before her eyes, startling her.

It didn't stay long though, as it only took Shaekri a few seconds to swallow it whole, leaving Tessa in shock. A purple light surrounded the short-haired girl, and when it was gone, she approached Tessa. As she tried to put her hand on the hooded young woman's shoulder, the latter shuddered unwillingly. She was still quite shaken by what she witnessed just now. Despite being spooked, she could hear the explanations of the one causing it. As it turned out, the tour guide helps lost souls find their way and they become part of her. Truth is Tessa could find some comfort in the girl's words but was unable to remove the image of the soul being absorbed from her mind. Even feeling the soul for herself, relaxing after panicking, didn't help much on that front. "I think I understand." She said eventually, while not looking into the other mage's eyes and fluttering her little hand-fan on her face for the purpose of getting a boost of fresh air.

After that incident, the hooded girl didn't say anything regarding that subject... Or any other, for that matter. Truth is Tess never thought arriving at the city was going to be this hard for her. 'This is gonna take some getting used to.' She sighed as she followed the foxy-mage as the latter led the way to the Guild Hall; First through the city's streets and up the stairs to the floating island, which left her breathless. As the trio reached the top, the stairs turned to a road, and soon after they arrived at the Guild's building. Upon seeing the colorful crowd of Dragoons, she started feeling a bit overwhelmed... Even more so after so many heads turned to look at her and Grantes after Shae's announcement. She didn't know anyone yet to trust them not to collaborate with Wyverns.

As the newcomer sat uncomfortably to her seat, a bang on the door could be heard, and in came Himitsu and his pet Blaze, looking of higher spirits than before. She wasn't expecting to see them both so soon, but it encouraged her too seeing them happy again. Without noticing, the Guild Master approached the group of three and complimented Shae on her hard work. When the blue-haired woman mentioned Demon Issues, Tessa turned her gaze from her. 'Looks like they're everywhere.' She thought with discomfort in her eyes. Only when the Master introduced herself, Tessa turned to look at her again. The woman called 'Ephyra' appeared nice. Besides, with all these mages around, she must be very good at her job.

"Thank you for the warm welcome, Ephyra-San." Tessa bowed lightly, "I'm Tess. It's a pleasure to meet you." Upon looking at the blue-haired mage, Tessa could only hope she didn't have some kind of eerie powers as well. As the older woman did the same, focusing on the cursed collar, the air-mage lowered her gaze again, fixing her hood to make sure it hides her neck-cuff well. She didn't want people to look at her as if she's hopeless. She made up her mind to find a way to remove it once she somehow dealt with the dark mages that are chasing her. There's a time and a place for everything, and if somehow she could be positive this Guild can handle it, she'll ask for their help. While Ephyra spoke to Grantes, Tessa traced Himitsu and Blaze all the way to the Requests Board. Suddenly an idea came to the young woman's mind; What if she saw the mages of the Guild in action and then could determine whether or not they're capable of facing both the Wyverns and Demons?? Truth be told, she could use the fresh air too, after the shakey experience from before.

By now the soul-ripper already returned to the pair of newcomers as well. Tessa was positive that if she wasn't in such a shakey state, she might have handled Shae's magic better, especially after hearing what it's consists of. The long-haired girl then stood up and bowed towards the two females. "Thank you both for the the help. I think I'll go looking around a bit. If you'll excuse me." She said grateful and made her way up to the second floor and to the Requests Board. As a former guildie, she obviously knew what the board meant. "Himitsu, hey, I'm sorry about before." She said with her warmest smile yet, upon reaching the two. She really hoped they'll let her join for the company AND fresh air, but most of all - so she could learn they were strong enough to help with her problem. "I was hoping you guys could let me join you in your mission." She suggested, waiting for their reply.

To Tessa's surprise Himitsu actually forgot what happened with Shaekri earlier at the Market. Did the young woman took it more to heart than the guy who went through it?? Maybe. Then again, since childhood she was sensitive towards other people's feelings. Afterwards, when she asked the 2 if she could join them, they looked at each other, and for a minute the silver-haired girl couldn't help but think they might reject her offer/request. What kept her positive was the Dragoon's laughter and the words that came with it regarding him falling asleep during class. The air-mage then chuckled and replied; "I understand, and don't worry - I'm well-aware of Guilds' rules."

The world of Guilds wasn't new to the young woman. The only difference is in her case it didn't end well. Anyhow it was irrelevant right now and she didn't think it was worth mentioning. Maybe because she still had so many beautiful memories from back when it was still decent, or it could be she was ashamed of what became of that chivalrous place she remembers so fondly? If anyone could have answered that question, it obviously wasn't Tessa herself.

As Himitsu drew the request away from the board, Tessa observed him with anticipation. The young man then made his way all the way to the bar, accompanied by his adorable pet, and put the paper on the counter. At this point, the girl is still hopeful they'll let her join. Must be the reason she instantly recognized the adventure-seeking wizard's gesture aimed at her, to get closer to them. With steady steps, she walked towards the pair of Dragoons and while doing so, she could hear the nature of the mission chosen - something about Cultists. Shouldn't be too risky, right? Himitsu then passes by her while whispering she can join as long as a bit later on - closer to the Mountain Village, making her smile. A brief glance at Blaze indicated he approved of it as well. "Got it." She replied quietly with a smile of her own, just to let them know she's on board.

After the young man and his pet cat(?) are leaving the Guild Hall, the silver-haired girl waits a short while before doing the same. She doesn't say a word to anyone, as she already told those that mattered that she's going to look around (as well as trying to keep a low profile at all times). Upon returning to the island's outdoors she remembered coming across a cute scarves stall not too far from the Guild. It didn't take her too long to get to the stairs and go down back to the city's market. Took her even less time finding her designated mobile shop and purchase a scarf to better hide her collar, make her attract as low attention as possible. 'There, all better,' She thought to herself while looking at herself in the mirror, pretty happy with the result, as well as the design of the new accessory. Only then the air mage turned to focus and sniff the air, trying to track the familiar scent of the guy, as she already knew it too well due to him invading her privacy earlier... Once she got a hint of it, she started pacing towards that direction.

The hooded young woman was following the obvious trail of the scent Himitsu left behind, when the crimson feline caught up to her. "Hello, Blaze~" She greeted him with a warm smile, and automatically looked around searching for his 'owner'. As the friendly small creature explained to her that they'd meet the young man at the Town of Morgate and that he asked Blaze to look out for her, she returned her gaze to him. Was Himitsu aware of the problem she had to deal with? For a minute she stayed quiet, trying to find such clues on the cat's face. After finding none that imply that, as well as coming to the conclusion that if it were the case, the guy himself would probably be here too, she calmed down a bit, smiling again. "That's sweet of him... Of you both. Thank you." Tessa eventually said, as she didn't take any of it for granted - they could have just met her at the Mountain Village. The pair barely knew her and didn't owe her anything. It touched her.

"And that sounds like a great plan. I too wouldn't want to be wandering the woods in the middle of the night. I can understand why your Guild has that rule." Tessa replied, "Demons can be a real handful." At the last part the air mage turned her face away from Blaze, as she avoided going into details. The feline then goes on saying how Himitsu can take well care of himself, and the young woman returns to stare at her little companion. He said that with such confidence in his voice, his expression... Sure, she didn't see the young man's magic yet, but hope was starting to build up inside of her now. 'Maybe the Dragoons could really be the one to stop the Wyverns?' How she wished it was true.

"Let's go." Tessa responds to Blaze's instructions, "Glad I have you as my Tour Guide. It's the first time I'm visiting this part of the continent." The city's sights had so much in common with those seen at Hargeon Town but also so many differences. Tessa looked around in awe as the 2 were walking down the road, sniffing the new aromas; Some she already knew and some she never experienced before. "You guys are lucky to live in such a lively town. Ephyra-San must be a big fan of it too, as she chose to establish the Guild right on top of it." The hooded woman already thought highly of the notable blue-haired mage, as she managed to make such a remarkable Guild. Right from the start, Tessa could see there's something special about it, about the mages in it.

"Speaking of which, the Bahamut Dragoon looks like a fun place to hang out at. People seem really nice." The young woman admitted to her tiny tour guide, which she found really easy to talk to, despite not being 100% herself currently. It was like talking to a stuffed animal. "And I gather you guys are helpful too, based on some of the missions on your Request Board. We're on our way to help free some Cultists, right? Fill me in on the details, please?" The air mage knew she couldn't help much, if at all, but she wanted to know what they're getting themselves into. For the briefest minute, she could feel someone gazing upon her, but as she looked behind her shoulder, she saw no one of suspicion... And the only remains of the magic powers she still had - her smelling sense - confirmed that she was safe... Or was she?

As the two characters made their way to the city's exit, they've used the time talking about guild-related stuff. The first subject that came up was Himitsu having a dark past as an 'evil demon boy'. "I find that hard to believe." She smiled, having a hard time picturing him being bad after first approaching her when she first arrived to town and then sending Blaze to keep her company. To her he was anything BUT evil. As for the Demon part - she did notice his unusual features such as his horns, but he already made too much of a good impression on her to let that matter. Next Blaze turned to talk about the S Rank Mages in the Guild, and the young woman curiously listened. "It makes sense." She replied, "They're the only ones that can take on this kind of missions." With that she couldn't help but start considering to ask for their help.

The small creature then cut her line of thought when mentioning his unusual human friend again, saying he likes to challenge the stronger mages when he's not being punished. "Which of the mentioned happens more often?" She asked while quietly chuckling, but at the same breath couldn't avoid adoring Himitsu's spirit and motivation to get stronger. "You guys must rarely be bored, if at all." The air mage noted. She then heard the feline's explanations about how the guild came to be before the town itself, and about its founders. It truly amazed her, but some of it also made her feel nostalgic; It reminded her of why her father first made the Diviner's Fane Guild in the first place - to serve as a safe haven fo her dearest mother and all other mages who were haunted by the Holy Castle. She said nothing on the matter but did manage to recognize the man he was referring to. "Oh, I've met Yashiro-San. He's a very upfront and intelligent person." She replied, "And from what you've been telling me, he sounds like a real asset to the Guild."

As the two got closer to the city's borders, Blaze told Tessa about the mission they're going to face. "Poor thing, having his family taken away by the excessive religious mob for their own dark reasons. That's terrible." She wouldn't even want to IMAGINE what the cultists are doing to the innocent people right now. "I'll help you both however I can." She added, again being touched by Himitsu's soft side, and by his willingness to help others in need, sometimes even without getting nothing in return. "And everything happens for a reason. By staying behind you guys were able to go and help the person with his family." She noted with a smile, and when the two were out of the barrier, Blaze's words about Himitsu staying behind due to his 'uniqueness' caught her attention.

Before the young woman could ask about it, though, something attacked them and the flying cat-like creature fell to the ground, a sorcery mark on his abdomen. "Blaze!" She called out as she instinctively turned around to see a pair of masked figures; A muscled tall guy and what seems to be an average female in her twenties. Their guild stamp was clearly visible on both their bodies. "Wyverns." That's all she needed to say, voice full of despise. She knew there was no negotiating with these villains. Luckily there were only two of them. They must have thought she was alone and knew she couldn't fight back without her magic. Part of it was true, but the last few weeks did sharpen her survival instincts. Without wasting another minute, she charged at her voyage partner, grabbed him in her arms, and tried to run away from there the fastest she could.

Truth is she was TERRIFIED they managed to catch up to her without her realizing it ahead of time, like she usually do, but now she was also worried about Blaze's sake. Tessa managed to get a bit further from the pair of dark mages... But only until something wrapped around her ankles; ribbons, knocking her off to the ground with Blaze slipping from her grasp. Upon coming to her senses after the fall, the hooded young woman realized she came across these ribbons before. It was the magic of Lacey - a girl around her age that joined the Diviner's Fane Guild just a short while before it all fell apart. "Lacey?" That caught Tessa off guard, as she wasn't expecting to see the ribbon-mage again under these circumstances. "Guess that cat's out of the bag now." The other girl said as she removed her mask and summoned a pair of ribbons to tie Tessa's hand behind her back. "Why are you doing this?" The silver-haired girl protested while the pink-haired one made her way towards the motionless cat lying on the grass. "Keep him out of this! He doesn't know anything!" She demanded and tried to move her body towards Blaze, but her movement was limited and Lacey got to him faster. "I'll decide that. You've stayed away from our grasp for too long, Theresa. The Master will be pleased." The ribbon-mage said, as she took the small creature in her hands and put it in a sack. "Oh look, the cat's back in the bag." She grinned, her smile's full of evil intentions.

"You won't get away with this!" Tessa called as she tried to stand back up and fight back, her hands are still tied behind her back. "Let him go!" Before she was able to fully rise, Lacey turned to the other mage, gesturing with her face towards Tessa; "Rufus." The bully got the message and paced forward, eventually picking up the air mage and putting her on his shoulder, facing backward. "What are you..? Let me down, you brute!!" She protested and tried to free herself from his grasp. "You won't get away with this!" She repeated, "Somebody, please, help us!" She managed calling out before Lacey used her magic to cover the poor girl's mouth with new ribbons, ones with a different scent - a dangerous one. Tessa could swear it was the reason she suddenly started to lose her senses. "I must admit, I had my doubts about that source's telling us to use that procedure so she wouldn't smell us. I can't believe it actually worked." These were the last words Tessa heard before falling into pitch darkness...

"Whaa.. Whaah!" A six-year old silver-haired girl was crying her heart out, as she was running inside her parents' house. It was Tessa, and it was only a few days after she learned about her magic for the first time. "Sweetheart," Her mother approached her with a worried expression on her face, "What's wrong?" "It's.. It's Taylor." The girl replied while gasping between weeping, "He and.. His friend.. Called me... Wi.. Witch." As she managed getting it out, she sobbed once again. The woman's face softened as she sat down and signaled her dauther to sit next to her, which she did. "Oh, sweetheart, Taylor's not like us." The grown woman held the girl's cheeks in her hands and gently wiped away the tears with her thumbs. "So.. So does.. Daddy.." The girl tried to protest with a very good point of her own. "No, Daddy's not like us, but he understands our world." She paused, "I know Taylor has been your best friend for the longest time. Sometimes things happen that draw people away from each other... It's no one's fault, it's just how the world works." She explained, and made Tessa's eyes instantly fill with tears again. "B.. But I.. I don't.. Wanna p.. Part with.. With him." The air mage was having a hard time accepting it.

"You're a grown woman now. You're capable of using magic, which also means you're capable of making hard choices. People like Taylor will never understand magic. You're gonna have to be the one to make this choice for the two of you, and don't worry - you'll never be lonely, even if Taylor's not around. Also, wanna hear a secret?" She asked and the sobbing girl nodded in agreement. "I wouldn't be surprised if the boys were teasing you because they're jealous of your gift." She concluded her speech with the sweetest smile, as Tessa was looking at her mother with the tiniest smile and a pair of big eyes before shutting them.

When she opened her eyes again, the silver-haired girl wasn't at home... She was shackled to the wall behind her by chains through her wrists and neck. She didn't have her hood anymore. "Wha.. What's happening?" The young woman slowly looked at one of her hands and tried to disconnect it from the wall. Upon failing she heard a familiar voice, talking about bad people and a dark guild. "Blaze..?" She quietly asked, and as soon as she saw him her eyes widened, as she immediately remembered what happened. At this point, he could still fly, and the girl called out to him: "Blaze, you have to run! It's not safe here, please go!!" Instead, the small feline used fire in order to try and distract the people around them. Sadly, it failed as one of the Wyverns hit him hard into the wall. "Blaze!!!" The air mage was starting to lose her cool now.

"Stop it, leave him alone! He's innocent!!" She tried to somehow talk some sense into these villains, "It's me you're after! I haven't told him anything, please let him go!! Stop it!! Stop hurting him, please!!" Upon seeing her attempts to reach the dark mage was like talking to a wall, and realizing Blaze only gets hits if he acts, she turned to beg of him to stop trying to save her; "Blaze, don't do anything!! I'll be fine, really, just stop provoking them!!" She was torn inside seeing him in this state, especially because of her. Despite her efforts, the tiny creature still wouldn't give up and is gave it his all to rise and try one more time. "Blaze, no!! You have to go!" As he insisted on getting her out and mentioned Himitsu, her stomach turned and her eyes begun to fill with tears. How will she ever face the guy again after this?? If she even walks out of here alive...

"Blaze.." Her voice was now cracking. He was trying so hard to rescue her to the extent of risking his life, and now he might get killed because SHE put him in this situation. He's only here because of her. At this point, she lowered her head as tears rolled down her cheeks, her eyes shut tight. "I'm sorry, Blaze... I'm so sorry for getting you into this mess." She barely managed to say while weeping, her voice cracking. She never felt so helpless in her life, and couldn't bear the thought that the sweetest of a creature is going to get killed because of her. He was growing on her, that's the last thing she wanted to happen... And she couldn't do anything. It killed her inside...

In the background, two masked mages watched what was happening. The taller one then starts charging what seems like their magic, but the shorter one puts their hand on their shoulder, nodding their head quietly. The first one then decided against it and lets it go of it... For now.

While quietly sobbing, the nearly broken young woman could hear loud noises from outside. For a while she believed it to be her imagination, but soon after an explosion was heard and something, or someone, joined the scene. It didn't take her more than sniffing the air to recognize him by now. "Himitsu..?" She raised her gaze to him, wiping away the tears from her eyes with her hands, and as her vision cleared, she could see him standing there. At this point he already looked fiercer than she remembered; His fangs were visible and a dark aura surrounded him. As the young man turned to look at her and paced towards her, she could feel her heart aches again. It didn't take him too long to get to her and vaporise her handcuffs and chains, setting her free, his hands glew in a blue light. When the unique guy crouched close to her and asked her if she's okay, her eyes started to fill with tears again and she lowered her gaze. "Hmm-mm." She replied quietly while nodding her head. It was only true physically though, emotionally she was a mess. "I'm sorry." She added sincerly, unable to look him in tיe eye right now. Rocket science wasn't required in the case of these two. They were obviously really close and the air-mage might have been the reasons Himitsu's best friend is no longer among the living.

The truth is Tessa didn't fear the guy's reaction... At least not as much as the sorrow she felt for being the cause Blaze got into this situation in the first place. That was when he saw the small body of his closest friend lying motionless on the ground, surrounded by blood. As he walked forward and raised the feline in his arms, she still wasn't able to look at the pair... Only when Himitsu tried to wake his tiny friend, she returned to hope he'll survive through this. Maybe he wasn't dead after all?! However the young man's reaction proved her wrong, and she could almost hear her heart breaks inside. He then returns to Tessa and puts the small creature close to her. In response, she gently put him on her thighs, as for comfort. It wouldn't bring him back, but she still wanted him to have some kind of solace. After getting kidnapped because of her and fighting so hard to free her, she owed him this much, at least.

As the collared girl turned to look back at her somewhat demonic savior, she noticed his horns and claws grow bigger, and the marks on his body started to glow. Sudden blue flames showed up all over the space out of thin air, as well as around Himitsu himself. The temperature was rising and the fire consumed everything it touched, including Wyverns trying to reach him. There was no question about it - that was part of his magic. The young man then roared, as he was making a statement. Tessa's eyes widened, as she finally concluded; That must be what Blaze mentioned earlier, about Himitsu being a demon boy. Even if he was on her side, the silver-haired mage wasn't expecting this, and she couldn't help but feel a seed of fear inside of her... She wasn't sure he likes that side of him.

From the look of things, the guy had a single target in mind, or more specifically - a couple, and as he paced towards the Wyverns called Lacey and Rufus, other dark mages tried their best to attack him. He dissolved these into thin air easily of course, and upon reaching his goal, a sword pierced his back all the way to his abdomen. "No!!" Tessa's eyes widened again, but this time out of pure concern for the guy. The hit looked painful, and right now she only wished there was something she could do to help him! To her surprise, he managed to hit the guy away from him and pull the sword out of his body, leaving a hole all across his torso. For a minute the air mage forgot about being intimidated by Himitsu's appearance and behavior and was 100% worried about him. As she narrowed her eyes to look at his wound better, she could swear it started to heal itself. Upon getting patched-up Himitsu kept walking towards the pair, his eyes are white and his veins popping out. Fear started to flood her again, but then she heard his words; "No one hurts my family! And as for Tessa, she is coming with me. To a place where everyone is accepted, even a monster like me!" He was still himself, it seemed, and despite starting to get overwhelmed, his will to help her didn't waver. It amazed her, as well as touched her to the core. How can he be this selfless?? He only met her today, and he was already risking his life for her?

"Himitsu!!" She called out to him, her voice full of emotion and appreciation. She wanted to tell him to just grab Blaze and get out of here. She miscalculated and now they're paying the price. They didn't deserve to die here, and if it meant they could get out in one piece, she'd surrender herself to the Wyverns and end this evil chain. Upon sniffing the familiar scent of Azalea flowers, she paused before saying another word. She didn't make the connection yet, as two figures hurried to Himitsu's side. At first, the young woman thought they meant to harm him, but then they started fighting the Wyverns! The shorter one used what seemed like purple dark magic. At first, he threw purple aura surrounded daggers at some of the mages, and then he used another ability; He stretched his 2 hands forward while two matching demonic hands, only bigger, appeared in front of a group of Wyverns, taking them down one after the other.

In the meanwhile, the taller mage drew a pair of swords - one at each hand and started slashing the villains quickly, faster than the average person will ever be able to. The pair of mages managed to take down quite a few of the Wyverns, but the dark guild mages just kept coming. In all the chaos, the mage known as Lacey tried to sneak away from the area, while Rufus was facing the two-swords mage head-on. The rivals were so focused on the battle, that the speedy guy didn't notice a Wyvern approaching him with a potentially fatal blow. In the last second, the purple dark magic user grabbed the one attacking with both magical hands; One at his torso and the other on his legs, and just pulled both halves of the body away from each other until the guy split in two in a bloody mess. The 2 mages briefly smiled at each other, when suddenly what seemed like am S-class Wyvern used his powerful electricity magic to hit the shorter mage. The guy[?] didn't see it coming and got hit head-on - leaving him[?] paralyzed as well as aborting what seemed like a glamor spell, revealing his[?] true form; A beautiful woman with silky long hair and 2 horns coming out of her head. A demoness.

"Elythalis!!" The other mage yelled out and in a burst of agile sword swings defeated Rufus. He then hurried to the numb woman, not too far from Himitsu, and gritted his teeth as he realized how many new enemies arrived, and how well they all worked together. With his partner down, and enemy numbers keep growing, their chances are getting lower and lower, he knew that. As he glanced back at Tessa, she returned the gaze, trying to figure out if she'd already met him. In response, the guy turned to look back at the horde of dark mages, smiling fiercely. Now the lives of the two most important women in his life were at risk. He's going to give it his all, even if it kills him. "Don't let their numbers get to you. A lot of them are rookies." The mage told Himitsu and then, without further delay, charged at more dark mages, never getting too far away from the motionless demoness on the ground.

As Himitsu kept retaliating against those dark Wyven Mages, his body was surrounded by some kind of blue aura. Tessa could feel the heat all the way to where she was currently sitting at, and yet her body shivered. Might have been the adrenaline rush in her blood or the fear for the lives of her friends as well as hers, despite having extra help from an unexpected direction. The young man then created a sphere of energy just above the palm of his hand, and as she watched it unfolds, she couldn't quite pinpoint what kind of magic he uses, like she usually able to do. Never before did the air mage came across something like that .

The guy then threw the ball from his hand, missing the villains by a few centimeters and causing an explosion once the sphere hit the wall. Tessa shut her eyes tight as she hugged Blaze closer to her on her thighs, trying to protect them both from the blow as much as possible. Upon hearing Himitsu's voice again, saying he'll defeat as much of them as possible for what they've done, she re-opened her eyes. It wasn't a pretty sight that greeted her; She saw a bunch of the villains succeeding in violently shoving him to the corner, yet he didn't seem to give up for a SECOND! "Himitsu!" She called out again, genuinely worried about his life now. Honestly, a person can have all the drive in the world, but sometimes that alone isn't enough. As Tessa realized he was starting to bleed now, she turned to look at the sword-user mage that helped them.

The guy seemed to have his hands full by now, staying close to the numb Demoness at all times. Right now the swordsman was facing about 3 Wyverns from different directions, but like Himitsu, he seemed to only be more driven by the danger they currently faced. As the silver-haired girl returned to look at Blaze's owner, she could see he had no pupils now, yet he laughed and fired small bundles of energy from his mouth, burning and shocking his rivals. That didn't stop other Wyverns from joining the fight. 'I have to do something!' The yong woman thought as she looked around the area in hopes to somehow help the two guys who were risking their lives in this fight. However as she was about to get up from the floor, she remembered the small creature's still in her lap, and she knew she couldn't leave him unattended.

Suddenly without a warning, a huge purple sphere came through the ceiling, along with rubble, falling on top of some of the Wyverns. It then exploded into tiny shards, hurting the dark mages, and a smiling pretty blue-haired girl appeared in the scene. At this point, Tessa could only hope this new mage wasn't bad news. She couldn't see either a Wyvern OR a Dragoon Guild Stamp on her, and only wished she was on their side. Upon seeing her grin fades after laying eyes on Himitsu, the air-mage got the answer she needed; She wasn't their enemy. The crystal-mage then looked back at Tessa and called out to the hole she just arrived through; Something about finding the peacock and getting his friends out(?) While trying to figure out the meaning behind those words, Tessa saw another guy and two more felines(!) coming through that same hole.

It was then that the blue-haired mage roared loudly, making the air-mage covering her ears, as yellow crystals were shot from her mouth. Was she using crystal magic? When the enemies were distracted by the attack, a white feline with black stripes flew towards Tessa and put a hand on Blaze's forehead. She then tried to reassure the silver-haired girl while laughing nervously. "I'd love to get out of here, but how will we accomplish that? We're surrounded." Tessa asked the small creature, just as another one joined them - a pink one with a fancy hat. That one seemed worried about Blaze too; He thanked Tessa for taking care of him and introduced himself as Drew. If they weren't in this dire situation, Tessa would probably take a minute to be amazed by these magical creatures. She couldn't help but asking herself if everyone in the Dragoon's Guild has one.

"That won't be necessary, thank you. And you can call me Tessa." She kindly declined his offer of carrying her as well as introduced herself, and then returned her face to the new mages. She could now see the red and black mage telling the girl to stand back and fires a spell of his own; Was it some kind of water magic? Then, as the pair of mages stood next to each other, they seemed to have combined their magic powers in order to shock the villains. Then the guy gave a warning regarding the temporary paralyzing effect and advised everyone to leave before the Wyverns'll wake up. Upon saying that, Tessa quickly got up, hugging Blaze to her at all times. "Please, let's. We've already over-stayed our welcome." The air-mage agreed and was good to go and get the hell away from this horrible place.

Upon seeing the Dragoons manage to take over the situation, the sword-mage took advantage and used the pause to wrap the Demoness' arm around his neck as he hugged her back. He then got closer to Himitsu and whispered: "After today I take it no Wyverns will go after her again, not while she's an ally of the Dragoons." He smiled as he stole one last glance at the silver-haired girl, and before taking off, made one final request of the plasma-mage; "She's a good girl. Take care of her for me, will you?" Without actually waiting for a reply, and in a matter of seconds, the pair disappeared into thin air, trusting the Dragoons with their precious air-magic user.

While they're still at the Wyverns' place, Tessa heard the Dragoons mentioning this girl they were scared of... But she was worried about something else right now; The pair of mages that helped them in this battle. There was no mistaking it, by the scent of one of them they were surely the ones to put the collar on her. She watched as the guy exchanged things with Himitsu, and as she saw him about to depart, she tried to stop him. "Wait!" She called out, in hopes he'll at least be able to tell her how to remove her somewhat mobile prison... But the two were no longer around. Himitsu then turned to Tessa, asking her to keep Blaze safe. "Of course." She replied, still holding him close to her. After putting him in this situation in the first place, that's the least she could do.

The horned guy then lost his balanace for a second and put his hand on his head. "Are you okay?" The Air-Mage asked worriedly, and after his note regarding her home town, she smiled. "You two just don't know each other well enough yet. I'll make sure to change that sometime." She tried to distract him, sure, but also kept a note to herself to show him around some day. Then the unique-magic-user went and made a hole in the wall for the party to get out of. Upon going through, he miscalculated and fell down what seemed like a couple of floors. Upon hearing his voice she could only smile quietly. He already survived a bunch of Wyverns, that must be a piece of cake to him. Next the somewhat-water wizard apologized to Tessa about not being properly interduced and asked the two felines to keep an eye on her and Blaze. "It's okay, don't worry about it." The young woman understood well there's a time and a place for everything.

The guy then pets Blaze's head, as his blue-haired partner grabs his other hand in hers and lead him away to the same exit. Before taking off, she smiled at Tessa one last time and rushed her based on someone's cooking. In their Guild. Truth is, the silver haired girl wasn't sure where she'll go next. Of course she gladly accepted the offer. "Hmm." She happily replied while nodding her head. Next the two mages went through Himitsu's improvised doorway. During all that time the pair of felines never left Tessa' side. The female then turned to her, explaining they'll keep herself and Blaze safe, as well as introduced herself to the human. "Perse, I understand. You can call me Tessa." The Air-Mage smiled and returned a small bow of her own. Perse then suggested they'll both help her getting out of here by carrying her, and Drew agreed with her. As Tessa looked all the way down, then at Blaze who was still uncouncious in her arms, and eventually at the small creatures, she smiled. "I'd appriciate that. Thank you both." She replied and let the two carry her (And Blaze) to the ground safetly.

By the time the group landed on the ground, it was already pretty crowded. For a second Tessa noticed a silver haired girl making her way twords them... But then she heard a familiar voice, getting all of her attenting; "Theresa?" It was her father, which she haven't seen in WEEKS! "Daddy." She quietly replied, already teary-eyed. Seconds later the two already hugged each other not too far from the other Dragoons, Blaze still in Tessa's arms. Upon letting go after a few seconds, the young woman looked at her father regretfully. "I'm sorry." She didn't even have to continue, he already knew she apologized for leaving without saying anything. "Don't be. Are you hurt?!" He held her face in both his hands and checked it up for himself. As she nodded 'no', he could tell she was fine, apart for a bit of dirt stains on her cheeks.

"And that collar?" He asked, as he lowered his gaze to her neck in suspicion. "Oh, it's a new accessory. Do you like it?" That was a lie of course, but she couldn't give her father more reasons to worry about her... Not seconds before she tells him she's gonna hang with the Dragoons for a while. "It's.. Unique." He replied, as he tried tried to figure out what's to like in this ugly massive jewel(?). "And I see you've adopted a pet cat." He added, as his eyes lingered on the exceed in her arms. "I'm sure you two must be tired after being away for so long. Let's return home and catch up over a hot meal? I'll make your faveourite; Mashed potatoes with plum-sauced chicken." He put his hand on her back, as he started to lead her back home, but she stopped on her tracks.

"Daddy." She looked him right in the eye, and didn't need to say another word for him to understand. "You're not coming home, are you?" He asked her as he felt his heart sinking... Then again, he was never the one to stop his daughter from doing what she felt she needed to. She nodded her head 'no' and smiled weakly, letting it sink in. "I'm going with the Dragoons." She eventully said, and turned to glance at her new group of friends. Tomen did the same, and without removing his gaze, asked: "Do you trust them? They look like massive trouble-makers... Especially the one with the colorful hair and horns..?" He wasn't sure he's seeing right. Tessa chuckled quietly. She could totally understand why he'd think that about Himitsu... Then again, these guys most likely saved her life right now. "I do. They're good people, they really are." She said as she looked up back at her father, speaking 100% from the heart. "I understand... And I trust you." He replied, accepting the fact that she'll be leaving again while kissing her forehead. "Has there ever been a better father?" She asked as she held him close to her with her one free arm. "I'll be coming to visit sometimes. I promise!" And she intended to keep that promise. She was only happy he got here when he did. She'd go all the way back to her father's home to say goodbye if he wasn't, of course, but it did save the group some time.
