Goals / Dreams

▸ He doesn't necessarily have a dream, he is more of a drifter than anything, especially since he was a child people had already decided for him on what to do with his life. Despite that he is slowly but surely trying to pave his own path, trying to find his own dreams and goals, while still trying his best to live up to the expectations of those who have chosen him to follow this course in his life. He also doesn't want to disappoint his teacher, the last Gym Leader of the Earth Badge Gym.

Significant Life Events

▸ Jonathan was involved in a program for Future Pokemon Leaders that was run by the Earth Badge Gym Leader when he was about the age of four. Unlike other children who's childhood involved - well - being a kid, his childhood involved going to school with kids six years older than he is. Jonathan went through rigorous training and taming wild Pokemon from a very young age along with the other pupils. He is one of a few children who are hand picked by the Pokemon League to enter such a pretentious program at a very young age. Within the program he was nurtured into one of the youngest and best Gym Leaders to date, picked by the past gym leader himself after witnessing Jonathan's struggles into becoming the young man he is now. Now only if he actually behaved enough to set an example to his pupils.

▸ While he was in the program, one of the things he needed to do to pass one of the task given to him by his teacher was to tame a wild Pokemon. At the age of nine, a year before he graduates from the program he encountered an Onix, a Pokemon he chose himself to be his target. They had a vigorous fight, a fight he actually thought he was going to lose and possibly lose his life, but an opportunity raised when the fight led them to a nearby stream where he used the water to his advantage, leading the Onix into the water, but not without the Onix grazing him hard enough on his back with iron tail, that left him bleeding and scared. This is also the very purpose why he feels uncomfortable around huge pokemon, but he sucks it up and still tries to befriend them, despite the itching fear he has for them.

▸ Graduating the program at the age of 10, the Gym Leader had picked him out of his many pupils four years ago to become the next Gym Leader. He picked Jonathan because of his young age and eager to learn attitude. He also chose him due to the respect Jonathan has for Ground Type Pokemon because of his past encounter of the Pokemon Type. The past gym leader also noticed the fear Jonathan has for huge Pokemon and he thought maybe this would help him get over this fear by being able to control prokemon with the might to shake the Earth.

Claim to Fame

▸ Besides being the youngest recruit for the program, he had a bad reputation for a being… stupid.
▸ His parents also already had a name made for themselves, his father had been one of the former head administrator for the Pokemon League before he took a proper retirement once Jonathan graduated.
▸ His mother works as a Head Pokemon researcher for the Pokemon League as well.
▸ At first people thought that he ran with his parents name into fame.
▸ Through the four years of becoming a gym leader, he had been compared to "Nabunaga the Fool"
