Kurt is a study in contrasts. He has a lot of insecurities and angst about his appearance, and wishes to be “normal.” However, he is also boisterous and cheerful, which helps people look past his strange looks. He always tries to put people at ease and hates when anyone is upset with him. He’s also very flirtatious. He is also very religious, carries his rosary beads everywhere, and goes to church each Sunday, though he disagrees with many of the Catholic Church’s conservative beliefs.
Biography»
Born to Mystique and the demonic mutant Azazel. He was abandoned by his mother shortly after his birth. He grew up as something of an outcast because of his appearance. However, he found acceptance as an acrobat in the Munich Circus, where he was famed as The Incredible Nightcrawler. He left the circus when it changed hands and the new owner wanted him to be a sideshow freak.

After being pursued by an angry mob because of his appearance, he was rescued by the X-men. He works at the school helping mutants with teleportation powers and also gives combat lessons to mutants without super strength or endurance. His teleportation powers make him a valuable member of the team, and his fighting skills are top-notch.
