franky wasn’t raised in a bad environment - sure, her parents were divorced, but that didn’t seem to
have an effect on her upbringing. until the age of fourteen, she was the perfect student and, aside
from the hormones, she was a near-perfect daughter. it was when she was a freshman in high school
that she was offered her first cigarette. it wasn’t anything special at the time and, honestly, she
thought it was gross, but there was something about the connection she felt to the people that she
shared that cigarette with that lured her towards their lifestyle.

being the age that she was, franky wanted nothing more than to find her freedom, and that meant
rebelling. she was tired of being the perfect student and child, and so she allowed herself to delve
into a life riddled with pills and snorting whatever powder someone put in front of her. her mother
slowly began to realize what was happening, and she tried to fix her daughter by putting her into
counseling and therapy, but none of it worked. if anything, these attempts to help only caused
franky to feel angry, because she had convinced herself that there was nothing wrong. she had long
since convinced herself that this life was perfectly normal, that she was just doing what she wanted
and that was justification enough.

she felt bad for her mother, but the guilt really started to hit when she met harlow.

they met in art class, it was the only class that franky didn’t feel compelled to skip since it was the
last one of the day and, well, she liked art… even if she’d been told many times that her pieces were
too graphic for a high school environment. really, it was his smile that got her, but she couldn’t help
but notice his passion for art, as well, and she had to look up to that. even when she was strung out,
her head throbbing in pain, he was somehow able to get a laugh out of her. franky wasn’t the type
who often found herself dating sweet boys, but harlow was an exception.

unfortunately, she lied to him, on more occasions than she could ever count. he didn’t deserve that,
but her addiction was at the point where it was more important that her relationships. she did love
him, but she loved drowning herself in so many pills that she forgot her own name even more. that
mentality cost her one of the most important people in her life. she couldn’t blame him for leaving
after what she’d done, after she came to him, higher than a kite, and for god knows what reason,
thought it would be smart to take just a couple more. honestly, she can hardly remember that night,
but she knows that harlow saved her. she knows that he didn’t have to. and she can’t blame him for
leaving soon after she got out of the hospital.

it was then that she was forced into rehab, and although she’d relapsed a couple of times, it’s been a
year since she took anything other than the occasional aspirin. she is better, but she can’t help but
constantly worry about ******** up yet again. the stress of this reality show should prove to test just
how far she can be pushed, and if she’ll give into old ways or not.
