The more potent the feeling, the more concrete the duplicate. Duplicates created through weak feelings are frail and subject to easy dissipation, while duplicates created through extremely potent negative emotions are more powerful but difficult to recall. Her power overlaps with "Doppelgänger Summoning" in that she can create duplicates of someone else, provided that she has an intimate understanding of what the person is feeling.
Dopplegänger Morphing: Alex's morphing is entirely aesthetic- any appearance of extra mass is inconsequential, and will not transfer strength or powers. She has to see someone before she can copy them.

Personality» Initially, learning to cope with her power made her guarded and aloof, for fear of something triggering her power. The strain of attempting to constrain herself and contain her emotions caused her to later take a complete turn in attitude in defiance of the restraints her powers placed upon her. She actively lives her life on a day to day basis in pursuit of happiness, no matter how superficial, shallow or short-lived. She is extroverted by nature, and makes every attempt to be as charming and personable as possible, especially whenever she feels it is beneficial to her. She has a habit of being flirtatious, and often is theatrical and dramatic in her speech, making her rather histrionic. She is selfish and gluttonous in her approach to situations, choosing to protect and indulge herself first before considering others unless they are notably dear to her. She attempts to avoid responsibility and involvement in situations which she perceives as being too stressful. Her avoidance of stress makes her somewhat unreliable, although she is capable of strong loyalty. Remnants of her conditioned behavior from when she first discovered her power still remain, such as a habit of being dishonest about her feelings and intentions, and not allowing herself to get attached to people. She has a rather insouciant attitude.
Biography» Born in Boston, Alex was accustomed to the fast, bustling life of the city from an early age. Her parents were wealthy, successful, work oriented people who didn't have time for much else. Their work caused them to move from place to place, resulting in Alex never having the chance to establish herself anywhere. She was a child with a vague sense of self-identity and weak ties to people for most of her youth, with a lack of any special skills or distinguishing traits. When her burgeoning mutant powers began to manifest themselves during middle school, she at first took advantage of it as an opportunity to carve out a reputation for herself. However, despite intentions to use them as a sort of cheap card trick, she found that her abilities were largely out of her control. Her malpractice caused nearly caused injury to several of her classmates. With the new understanding of the dangers of mutant powers, she swore off using them at all, believing they were nothing but trouble. However, whereas her early years were a struggle to get noticed, she now faced the challenge of avoiding attention as best as she could. With each new area she moved to, it was only a matter of time before she accidentally let word of her abilities spread among her classmates. She perceived her abilities as a source of conflict and burden.
Eventually, after someone really did end up hurt by her hand, she was quickly discovered and tracked down by Xavier's Institute. She was relieved- ecstatic, even- to attend the school. She found that she felt much more at ease among the student of the institute. Her time within the school allowed her to finally become acquainted with people. However, she still avoided any real bonds, finding that it was a good way to keep her abilities under control. Her ideology of treating her powers as something to be managed and restrained, rather than understood, has caused her to have a bad relationship with them. She still cannot control them very well. She's stuck around the school since she graduated, being more or less a freeloader. She's not a teacher- she does odd jobs and tasks around the school, just doing whatever the X-men ask of her. She doesn't mind, as long as she's free to live the careless and exuberant lifestyle she's become fond of.
