■ ever since his mind could recollect such thoughts, tobias was very much interested in these so-called things named SPIGGS. but in all honesty, that's how it's been his whole life when it comes to things people feared; the more people were terrified of it, the more interested he became. around eighteen, he decided to study journalism in hopes of being the great journalist he is now. the thought of being able to follow the SPIGGS closely made it all the more enticing. would it be the primary reason for him to take this journalist gig? maybe, maybe not. his parents were greatly scared for him, and not to mention completely against it, but they understood it wouldn't stop him any time soon.
■ shortly after graduating, the male could only land an investigative journalist spot in a small newspaper. it was nothing big, really; it was run-down, almost on the brink of bankruptcy. there was a point in time where he did want to be a reporter, but with his mean demeanor, plus all the tattoos and gauges decorating his body, it was clear that was a shot outta hell for him to even be close to such career. but really, he doesn't mind anymore. being a journalist lets him be able to express his thoughts and concerns towards modern day society, minus the discrimination and the lack of putting up this fake persona. his perfectionist nature runs free while he does everything and everything in order to uncover the truth. in actuality, it was thanks to his job, his interest and writings over the SPIGGS is what made him to be one of the most sought after journalists to this day who write about these "super heroes."
■ his family all grew fearful over the SPIGGS; thinking of them as these "unnatural things that were against god" or some s**t like that. they isolated the children out of anything that was related to such things but, tobias never believed that. he only thought of his family being xenophobic, in actuality, just because they were fearing something they didn't understand at all. they lived in the outskirts of new york, cutting communication with the city and the "unholy creatures" inhabiting in them, all in hopes of 'saving the children'.
■ he may yell, he may curse like a sailor, he may look like he canpunch your teeth in if he has the chance, but i swear he's a nice guy! he's just very sleep deprived, and a tad bit obsessed with the SPIGGS, but it's not really that overboard, unlike some fans that he knows. it was never determined why he grew so interested in these things, but maybe by the the fact that he knew nothing of them, since his parents tried their best to isolate him from anything related to them for almost a decade of his life. and well, that didn't work.
■ c'mon; there must be a bright side to his "breathe-in-my-direction-and-i'll-beat-you" kind of demeanor. he's literally an empty threat. yes, he's violent, i get it, but this man can't hurt a simple fly. it's just- how he's wired. blame the isolation as a child, or blame his tad anti-social nature, i don't know. but don't worry, that's only on a few special occasions, such as stress, anger, and so on. on a normal day, tobias is calm, non-chalant and surprisingly insightful if you get him to talk in a right topic of interest.
■ bruh, i have no idea in terms of plot for now. but if someone along the lines of like, a fan girl/boy pestering him all the time would be sweeet
