Hey everyone,

I wanted to give you all a heads up on the fact that we may be making Gaia a centered site. For those that might not be sure about what this means, a centered site is one that is centered in the middle of the web page. Currently, Gaia is left-aligned - this change would shift Gaia to the middle of your page.

For a while now, the centering feature has been available in Gaia labs, and we've heard it is something people like as most websites these days are centered. In fact, when Gaia first started it was centered! Centering the site will also, as I have been informed, allow us to do fun new things with events!

Anyway, I just wanted to post this poll and see how you all feel about having Gaia as a centered site. I'll leave the thread open too, in case you want to post feedback on this.

I like it left-aligned a lot more than centered.
I feel like the option in Gaia Labs is enough
for the people that want a centered experience.

If the majority wants it centered though, who am I to complain? dramallama

I use a centered site through bettergaia, and I like it, but I know plenty of people like the left alignment.

It's great for my widescreen monitor, but some people don't have widescreen. I think I agree with vloo that leaving it an option in labs should be good enough. :3 Maybe move the option so that people who don't use labs know it's there? It could go on the preferences page, perhaps?

Been using that feature off of Gaia Labs since it was put on...I rather like it.

But it would be cool if when it is implemented, we could choose headers and BGs.

I tried the feature in Gaia Labs one time and I switched back really fast sweatdrop I prefer it being left-aligned. Maybe it's the power of habit, I'm not sure... I remember I didn't like the weird spaces out in each side, it looked awkward - compared to that then I would most definitely prefer left-aligned. 3nodding

Hah.. I've had it centered for so long I forgot that it was left aligned. Due to my monitor being widescreen I absolutely love it. Makes it easier for me to look straight ahead than off to the side. xd

i've been seeing it centered so long, i don't even remember what it looks like as a left-aligned site. i much prefer it centered, but i wouldn't complain if you left it as a Labs-only feature, as that is quite enough for me.

however, i am curious to know how having it permanently centered would affect things like events, though. you've piqued my interest there.

It's always been centered for me, so sure, it seems ok, why not。

Actually, it's kind of surprising this is being brought to our attention at all。
I don't think it would be that big of a change to really warrant anyone's opinion。
But its always nice to be informed of stuff, so thanks Sisky。'o'
