welcome to design-a-thon~!
hi, i'm Naranimous Wumbleurth and i'm gettting ready to host my third an-
nual design-a-thon! this is a tektek contest of epic proportions! so if you don't
know me already, i spend a lot of time here in the Dressing Room. i particip-
ate in many contests so i know a thing or two about tekteking. this year, i ha-
ve decided to amp up the prizes and hopefully make this even better and m-
ore fun than last year! i've got some fantastic challenges coming up and i'm
excited to see the new talent the Dressing Room has in store for me! so, with-
out further ado here are the prizes:

1st place: 500,000gg is -_-Kris-the-random-_-
2nd place: 250,000gg is Phonat
3rd place: 125,000gg is f r u i t f o x

like last year, in this contest you will be creating a wardrobe for me. you will
be given a price limit of 12 million gold in which the total sum of all your av-
atars cannot exceed. furthermore, you will be expected to re-use items in cr-
eative ways in different tekteks. this will last for a total of 5 weeks, with four
tektekers being eliminated each week (unless i state otherwise).

two.___listen to me at all times, don't get angry if you're elim-
two.___inated. be nice to other contestants, and stay on the
two.___judges good sides.

three.___stay active - don't bother applying to become a conte-
three.___stant if you know you won't be on much. if something
three.___comes up make sure you notify me so i don't think you
three.___just up and quit.

four.___be punctual - pm your entry to me on time or you'll be
four.___eliminated!

five.___the total sum of your avatars cannot exceed 12 million.
five.___we score you on the price of the avatar, and you will
five.___receive an automatic zero for that section as soon as
five.___we see that you have exceeded the limit.

six.___do not use avatars from other contests you're in and
six.___do not steal avatars. they must be 100% original and
six.___only for this contest. if myself or other contestants/ju-
six.___dges/passer-by's see that you have cheated in some
six.___way, you are automatically blacklisted!

seven.___do not quote the first page!

eight.___i can change rules at any time!

___i'll be looking for creativity and uniqueness. i love avat-
___ars that are one-of-a-kind! color balance/matching is a-
___lso important to me and so is overall appeal.
___i'm pretty wild.

___has been tekteking for several years. also held her own
___and judged her own gaia game show.
___she wants to see unique. whether its strange color co-
___mbos or seldom used items, she wants you to show u-
___s something we haven't seen before. let's be creative
___here.
___she's completely undescribable.

cyatal.
___tekteking for over a year.
___likes details, avatars that use many accessories. they
___don't have to be one-of-a-kind avatars, just something
___that makes you go wow. creativity and color balance a-
___re a big yes, avatars that people have spent time on.
___she's quite random.

Hikari Zari.
___tekteking for several years. Judged my own contests and two others before.
___It must be eye appealing to her. If she'd wear it in real
___life or on her avatar (costs not counting) you get a bon-
___us from her (she'll tell you). The avatar can't be close t-
___o what we've seen before or use the same old items.
___Must be organized and matching. she loves to see a
___theme in colors or cute avatars over cluttered non mat-
___ching avatars. Using set items (not the Egyptian items).
___she's kinda silly.

every week for 5 weeks you will have a new challenge.
i'll post the different challenges here for people to stop
by and look. this is what your schedule will look like:
___mon - get the assignment (if for some reason i do not post scores/eliminations on sunday i will do so on monday).
___tue - work on it.
___wed - work on it.
___thur - perfect it.
___fri - pm entry to me by 12:00pm or midnight pst.
___sat - break for scoring.
___sun - scores will be posted and people will be eliminated.
you are allowed to turn in your entry any time before
the posted deadline. however, you will not receive fe-
edback before actual scoring begins.

round one - yellow.
___our very first challenge is to create an avatar using a m-
___ain theme of yellow. those of you who are more naive
___may be thinking that this is quite a simple challenge,
___but that's where you're wrong. yellow is one of the ha-
___rdest color to work with - especially on gaia since the-
___re are so many different shades. feel free to use other
___colors, but yellow must be the main focus. we will be
___focusing on matching this round! goodluck everyone!
___*** please remember that you will be using this base for the rest of the contest!
___i encourage the use of items for eyes and hair for diversity throughout the contest~
round two - zombie.
___um, so i kinda sorta have this obsession thing with zo-
___mbies. i just love them so much! and i would loooooov-
___e an awesome zombie avatar for my new wardrobe. s-
___o in this round try to make the creepiest zombie avata-
___r you can possibly imagine! item usage, creativity, and
___flow will be the focus for this round! goodluck everyone!
round three --- spin to win.
___lol, not really. sometimes i don't log into gaia for like
___months on end and then i find out they've come out w-
___ith a bunch of new and pretty items. so, i've made a li-
___st of items i would love to own. all of them are hair ite-
___ms (so use that pose!). you must base the avatar off t-
___hat item. the hair does not have to be the main focus,
___however. i just want colors pulled from the item specif-
___ically. now on to the 'spinning' part. because i was too
___lazy to make an actual wheel you'll be generating a ra-
___ndom number and that will be your item. don't worry, i
___have a record of the items and their numbers. you can-
___not delete posts and re-roll if you do not like the item
___you got. however, if the item is too expensive you ma-
___y re-roll until you get an item you can afford.
round four --- textures.
___i feel like everyone is going to hate me this round. lol so
___this is pretty much a super duper clutter round. i want
___an avatar that shows off texture more than anything e-
___lse. i've always been really impressed by these avata-
___rs and i would like one for myself. as well as see the
___amazing ideas i'm sure you all will come up with. if you
___would like to see an example of this because you're not
___quite sure what i mean, feel free to ask. rabbidkitten h-
___ad a good example for this in the first round. use any c-
___olor combination you'd like, and try to be as unique as
___possible since i'll be getting one of these from all of you
___try to make yours the most remembered of the bunch.

round five --- culture.
___i want an avatar that reflects teenage culture. you can
___base this off of music genres, styles popular in your t-
___own, or what you think of me emotion_awesome . this is going
___to be more of a realistic avatar. please note: while you
___can do "gangter" avatars, i don't really like them. haha,
___so your overall appearance score might be low if you
___do. though realistic avatars seem easy at first becau-
___se they have little clutter, if any at all, i have found the-
___m to be some of the hardest to make, especially sinc-
___e i'm so picky about them. lolololol. okay, goodluck tr-
___ying to interpret that and create something i love. haha!

every round i will try to name one favorite. this 'winner'
will receive immunity and cannot be eliminated the fo-
llowing week. i reserve the right to not chose a favorite
if i don't feel any of the entries completed the task to
my liking. these do not always have the highest scores.

comments are only given out upon request of the con-
testant. through my experience it has become a long
and tedious project to give detailed feedback to every
contestant, especially when you have this many and
such a small time frame to do it in.

Naranimous Wumbleurth: LOL I LOST THE OTHER JUDGES COMMENTS, SORRY~
but um, i really liked this avatar, it was a contender for my favorite. i like what you did with the swords and stuff showing the fact that it's an actual zombie that cannot be stopped. i don't really care for the stockings, but i like how they almost look like blood on the legs. overall i think that avatar seems off balance with all that stuff in the middle and almost nothing on the legs and head. if you're going to use clutter, you had better clutter up the whole damn thing. i thought the color distribution was pretty good, though i wish i had seen more of the grey by the feet. and although you've got the "i'm a zombie and you can't kill me" thing going on, i'm not sure what else says that. i would've liked to see more of the zombie theme come out. but overall i think you did a great job. (:
