I'm not really one for clown/jester theme items... But I am absolutely enchanted by the monthly angel item lol. I don't think I'd ever use it but it's very very cute.
Interested to see where the Spring Showers Package goes!

not really vibing with the og color of the angel item but... the floppiness of it is interesting.

it may resonate more with me if it's released in a color scheme i like more.

the mask is cute tho.

Torn on the new angel item, love jesters/clowns but not the biggest fan of this color scheme (feels a little washed out for a jester themed item) but maybe I just need to hang onto it and let it grow on me. And it seems popular which means Gaia hopefully will recolor it in brighter schemes. Def getting the foliage, love layering nature stuff with my avi and letting them take a trip outside. It’s spring/breakup season where I’m at which means the sun is finally coming out but now everything is muddy/boggy and smells kinda … if y’know y’know. But at least I can enjoy some virtual flowers until summer arrives lol sweatdrop

The Angel Item is pretty cute and unique, not sure how I feel about the default color scheme for it being multiberry, but I'm sure we'll get some brighter or pastel recolors

Multiberry would've fit a lot better on the spring accessory item palette. I think the color scheme choices are a bit random and aren't really fitting of the season--sakura, passionate, wondrous/alice, sea bloom, snapdragon, lav honey, lullytuft/lullaby, kaguya, tranquil, verdigris, petit cherie...even tranquil or gateau would work if you need something darker for some variety. there's so many schemes that would make more sense than half of these picks and aren't used that often

Iridescent and pearlescent would have been great picks too--I'd doubt they'd do it, but pure is usually considered a special/bundle exclusive scheme so who knows. Pure doesn't require as much extra time with color placement though, so that's probably why

Cute! I thought it was random, but charming, that everything was clown themed today. I read through the whole update before I put 2 and 2 together and was like "April fools! Of course!"

The angel item is a little cute, but I'm not sure if I would use it? I'll think on it. The last few days I was feeling like making a clown avatar, but I just don't have the items for it- I'm happy to see a bunch of them today.

Remember when Gaia would do mini events and freebie grants for April Fools? Remember when April Fools was like a big deal on the internet. Idk if I'm boring now and just looking in the wrong spots, but I feel like this year was a very understated april fools online. I didn't even get got once. sweatdrop

When I saw the Jest Kidding I was thinking of it more as a pierrot, in which case it has more color than would be expected.

I was reminiscing about this today, too. In addition to the fun freebie items, we'd at least get something new and silly, like the amazing

bundle from 5 years back (mine is still unopened bc I enjoy having an item that's just called ???). I assume the fact that funny/quirky doesn't sell well on Gaia anymore is why we don't get new April Fools items and the staff being stretched so thin is the reason we don't get freebies/events. sad

Diedrich had the run of today's AtS, which was nice, but I missed it. u_u It'd be cool if next year, they let him loose in the Diedrich fanthread or the CB for a couple hours so more users could celebrate his birthday. I'd be OK if we had the tiniest NPC-driven "event" in place of a freebie.

And I totally get what you mean about the internet at large seeming indifferent to this year's April Fools. Even tumblr, which usually boasts some sort of gag, didn't do anything today. Part of me wonders if brands all trying too hard to be funny in past years ruined the joke so bad, nobody had the energy to bother with it this time.

jest kidding is cute, though not something i'd use a lot
i like how quirky it is with the sweater pattern and oversized style

distracting foliage is nice, but not super on board with the colours
it doesn't give me that 'spring' vibe at all
would've loved to see schemes like kashmiri, kaguya, rosalind or kirin
and maybe the catharsis pose with offgrey
