Love the LQR, big fan of Tranquil. Coupon item is okay, Im just not a fan of blackout, so I will def be skipping that one. Looking forward to seeing what todays BE will be. Thanks for the thread!

will always be sad seeing blackout/mono without at least the 7th/8th skintone slots swapped for white/black
i know fantasy tones as a whole are a minority and prolly more effort on top of being niche, but keeping ivory seems just as wrong on these sorts of specific token schemes

Coupon is just...So dark. Very dark.
I got it off mp for a couple poses but lord could it use a little white or grey to break up some poses.
Esse is too dark for me too. That brownish color is hiding details imo.
So pass for me unless the Be gets me but eh I doubt it.

Pass on the coupon. I’ve only grabbed this item for the city backdrop, blackout just doesn’t do much for this item imo. I’m also annoyed when the bonus tones for monochrome or blackout are ivory and offblack.

Pass on the LQR. Just not an item I’m into, nor scheme.

Pass on the BE. It’s another dress. And I know folks really wanted more of the Celestial Duchess. I’m just annoyed both BEs were dressed I guess.

I’m sad that the sheer/transparent themed rig didn’t have more summery items to it. Burly Brute has a nice sheer top. Heir to Diamonds only has one other recolor to it that isn’t from a user. Buzz Around Town has a cute swimsuit with a sheer section to it and overall feels appropriate for the season too. I’d love it if we could reach a little further back and recolor some older goodies. Especially items that just don’t have many recolors to them.

Picked up Tranquil Simple Esse because I like the scheme and the item, but man, where are the fantasy skins? And summer items? And something other than Dresses On Parade nonstop? I guess there's the Frequenscene today, but it's a $25 coupon...

Tranquil is such a fantastic scheme and I'm super sad it mostly passed under my radar. I didn't log in much throughout 2022/early 2023, so I'd been thinking the scheme was much newer than it actually is lol. Esse looks great in it. I'll have to peruse the MP for some cheaper items in the scheme before I start collecting it in earnest.

Eh. Looking like a pass for me today.

I do love the use of brown in Esse. It makes for a perfect fence color! I'm just not likely to use most of the item and, even if I did get a copy, it would probably only be the background every once in a rare while. Not quite worth it. Nice, though!

Iridescent Duchess feels a bit predictable. Not a bad thing. Sometimes predictable is good. It is gorgeous and I love how it looks like the gradient is moving with the skirt. Fabulous illusion there. But I really want to see this dress in bolder jewel tones! It'd be so lovely. Like, say, Atlantis or Fenghuang... ninja

Okay, fine. They're niche schemes and it probably wouldn't be popular but, dagnabit, I'm gonna dream, anyway.

Low Frequenscene is tempting, I'll admit that.

Omg blackout on Low FrequenScene? c': Doesn't look good at all imo. Just simple monochrome would have been better.
I don't like schemes like blackout and pure. All the details are lost and the item looks like a messy blob.
I know some people think of them as "useful" schemes so that you'll get your favorite poses in just black or ivory but eh sweatdrop It's just lazy to me.

Tranquil Esse is fine. I love the scheme but it's so spring/early fall type of scheme idk why are we being like this again c': I mean blackout?? Seriously.
I want summer to feel like summer too. Can you imagine getting spring colors the whole of fall?? Most sane people would probably hate this idea.
Give us folks who enjoy summer summer schemes too please :/

I think Academic Evening item got the best recolors. They chose the perfect schemes to match its vibes.
I think they should have given some more thought and energy for the others too. Especially the Duchess. Just slapping "popular schemes" on it didn't really do it justice imo.
The best recolors were Rosalind and Envious and we got them so fast. Feels like they didn't know what to recolor it in after.

I agree with ElegantlyLuminous above, atlantis and fenghuang may be niche schemes but they suit the item so much better.
I mean I can't believe I'm about to say I liked the og pudding one better than the sprinkles and sentimental recolors... I don't like pudding very much while I do like sprinkles better... It just didn't look right on Duchess :/
Or maybe they could have waited just a couple months longer and release it in winter?
I also think Gaia should give some more love to other adopted user schemes. Some of them are perfect for the Duchess item imo.
Lapis, lifestone, atlantis, nightbreak... And if we're feeling a little bit bold, why not bugberry, crabby, bluebellvine, fruit salad (we see it every now on then, a great chance!), cadence, plastic beach, dreamland, lotus...
I feel like down the line we're gonna see alexandrite, flamboyant, shadowlescent on it and maybe chai on it, but maybe it's time to take some risks Gaia ninja
