Frequently Asked questions

Q: How can I get a necrolagus?
A: There are several different ways. There will be flats and events, as well as occasionally customs opened, and free pets offered in the adoptables thread of the guild.

Q: Are they roleplay required?
A: No, but roleplay does have it's perks. Partners that are established in-character can get more fluffs from a breeding, and bunnies with extensive roleplay are more likely to become elders.

What is a Necrolagus? A necrolagus is a domestic rabbit that did not have positive human companionship in it's life, and passed away with the strong wish to make a difference in the lives of other rabbits. They arrive to the Afterworld and grow into the skills to do exactly that.

This is the Fluff stage, which lasts for one week.
Fluffs that haven't been summoned appear in the Summoner's nursery.
They can't speak, and generally emote by flapping their wings or bristling their fur.

This is the teen stage, which also lasts for one week.
Teens that haven't been summoned are starting to branch out of the nursery and find their own warrens.
They're also coming into their skills, which can include things like minor telekinesis, empathic skils, etc.
They are generally small skills, and mostly used to interact with the real world.

This is the adult stage (female, then male), which may be the final stage.
Adults have their own warrens, sometimes their own rooms, depending on how they want to live.
They've fully developed their skills, and have determined how they want to interact with the real world.

This is the Elder stage (female, then male), which not all bunnies will reach.
Elders are offered through special events, or a Necrolagus can be upgraded to Elder with RP.
Elders are considered to be the wisest and strongest of Necrolagus,
They lead meetings, training, and guide other bunnies that want to follow in their footsteps.

A necrolagus isn't the same as a living rabbit; so, breeding isn't quite the same. (Which, let's face it, is for the best - breeding every 30 days? Able to get pregnant with another litter while still pregnant with the first litter? Cray.)

Any two adult necrolagus can summon; it doesn't have to be a mixed gender pair. The two bunnies that want to summon more fluffs to raise must approach the Summoner:

The Summoner is rumored to be the eldest of all of the Necrolagus, first arriving into the forests of the Afterworld and ushering all other fluffs into their afterlife. Through her rituals, she summons between 2 - 4 (randomly generated number and gender) fluffs that will grow with their parents.

What is the Afterworld? The Afterworld is, in a broad sense, the after life where the Necrolagus reside. More specifically, it's an expansive forest whose true dimensions are unknown. The bunny spirits make their homes in the branches and the leaves, pulling them together to make a system of tunnels and rooms that loosely connect the warrens.

The Summoner's tree. Most fluffs start at the Summoner's tree, which has one big room for the Summoner and dozens of smaller rooms that act as a nursery.

Lux and Umbre. While bunnies are reincarnated to give them power to change the way the world treats living bunnies, not all of them agree on how that's to be done. A necrolagus that is a part of the lux warren believes that they should both help bunnies and help the people that treat them right. The lux warren takes up a big chunk of the south part of the Afterworld forest.

A necrolagus that is a part of the umbre warren believes that they should be more aggressive, and help bunnies by lashing out at people that treat them poorly (and they assume that all humans will treat them poorly). Their warren takes up a big chunk of the north part of the afterworld forest.

Other areas. There is also a main "town hall" area in the center of the forest, as well as a training area where buns can hone their skills.
