Visual Kei (ヴィジュアル系, vijuaru kei?) refers to a movement among Japanese musicians, that is characterized by the use of eccentric, sometimes flamboyant looks. This usually involves striking make-up, unusual hair styles and elaborate costumes, often, but not always, coupled with androgynous aesthetics.Some sources state that Visual Kei refers to a music genre, or to a sub-genre of J-rock (a term referring to Japanese rock in general .), with its own particular sound, related to glam-rock, punk and metal. However most insider sources state that Visual Kei's unique clothing and make-up fashions, and participation in the related sub-culture, is equally as important as the sound of the music itself in the use of the term as while similarities can be drawn between some bands; most are from widely different genres including but not limited to Pop, heavy metal, power metal, classical, rap and electronic. Reasons why I want them:
-They certainly blend a lot of styles together from Gothic, Punk, Victorian, Rave and more.
-Due to the fact that they're pretty varied, it should appeal to a lot of people.
-Also, it's most often quite outrageous and well, perfectly fit into Gaia (all the odd colors and all)
-As well as the fact that a lot of inspiration can come from all the different layering and accesories found in VK bands.
-And don't you just love Visual Kei Hair? 8DDDDD

However, I'm not asking a particular item. Merely the VISUAL KEI Style to be the next update. They can range from the outrageous hair/Makeup,Gothic items of leather and buckles, to knee high S&M boots, or maybe even the Victorian styled yet modernized items =3= Don't forget LOLITA STYLE! 8D

p.s. Please be fitted XD I'm kinda sick of getting pants that make my legs look like they're two sizes bigger than they should be or shirts that give me a paunch when the avatar base is so lean and smexy!

I found an example on Ebay, but I could find very many. Mostly I could just find them on skirts. I'll have to keep an eye out. I did find some other pretty cool things while I was there though.

All these bands are guys only, so I guess you could say its a guys fashion. >_< But the fans are mostly girls and they dress like that too.

That's not true about guys only. There are a bunch of female Visual Kei bands. In fact, pictures of two were posted. Danger Gang and Exist Trace are both female bands. And that's just two examples.

Visual Kei died out years ago. The more recent bands listed fall under Oshare Kei, Angura Kei, Nagoya Kei, and other subgenres. Not Visual Kei.

Errors aside, I would also really like to see J-rock themed items! smile

Here is a basic guide to the main lolita styles. There's a really good website somewhere that has a looot of photos for each style, but I can't find it right now. = 3=;
Some of the links are broken on that LJ post, but it'll still give you a basic idea what different lolita styles there are out there.

asome idea....seriously...I would pay gaiacash for this....but! how would you classify the hair under colour?almost every one had two colours so it would be impossible to put each one unser one clour categotry....maybe if you could get them as wigs at skin tyte by giving up inks but still...it would be hard to catagorize....other then that I bet they would be pretty popular!

And it seems, from the new releases...that all Multicolor hair seem to come out as wigs 8D

Gaia should just make another NPC and put it next to the Salon Durem Shop and add on a wig store 8D + extensions?

My friend and I were just talking about it being cool if gaia made like a little side shop off of the salon (like the tattoo thing in skint tyte) where you could buy eyebrows, facial hair, ect.. I'd be cool if wigs were like the same thing.
