The inventory Needs a new sorting system

I really like the system implemented for wishlist organization and want to see this implemented into the inventory system as well. I like how I can select a group of items and move them however I need to in the wishlist sorting system. This would make it extremely easy to place my favorite items or sets of items into more organized boxes. Please please please add this!!!

Yes. I would love to sort by item theme, but whenever you manually move things around, it just goes back to however it wants to be. I would love a custom tab too.

No one can keep that organized over 10000nds of items. It will become a big mess with tags. And then it is messier than it is now.

My inventory got all thrown out of order many years ago after an update that broke the old organizer. I have never been able to get them back into the right place. Would love an easier way to sort them.

Also, what is the point in favoriting items if you can't sort by favorited items/make them unsortable or stick to top?
It's a useless feature considering they aren't highlighted anywhere else BUT your invo. crying It would be huge if we could favorite items and be able to keep them where they are instead of jumbling them still but now they're just highlighted and still mixed in lol

just wanted to mention for anyone wondering what Item Favorites are: it's a feature of the Gaia Upgrade add-on that allows placing a highlight over item icons.

Lanzer has occasionally mentioned plans for an inventory update but there's no definite details on what an update would/wouldn't include as features at this point but he has acknowledged interest in more personal sorting/tagging options.
