Hey again Lanzer, How have you been this past week? Good I hope! I played it I rather like it! There is no Labor Day here in NZ- So no big plans. I was just wondering if you passed the idea of a Pokemon Sub Forum to the Admin like you said you would, and if so, how they took it. Also you said you carry a Pokewalker-What Pokemon do you keep in it? Lastly, why is your title "Admin" and not "Gaia God". Seems more fitting biggrin

Been super busy with some new features, but yes we're definitely looking into having a sub-forum.

Today I have Dratini in my pokewalker.

I like calling myself admin since day one, because I want to be on equal grounds with all other staff in our team. I'm just the first guy who happen to be writing code. -_^

Hey Lanzer! I was just wondering if you all planned to make a Pokemon SubForum. I dont see Pokemon dying down in popularity any times soon, what if Pokemon Black and White coming out within the next year- I have many points also listed in my Petition Thread. ^w^

Also, there is a nasty rumor running around amongst the Pokemon fans that someone once said you and your staff dont like Pokemon surprised Is that true?

All of us have thought about it as some stage. I know because I see it almost daily Why isnt there a Pokemon sub forum yet? Well, It donned on me, have we ever tried yet? My goal here is to obtain a sub forum for Pokemon, for all of us who love the little Pocket Monsters. So we have a place to go- ask all the questions to our hearts content. A place where we can go to debate about new games and old games alike. An area where we can go in to the different Pokemon Leagues we frequent and then over to the current Tourney with out struggle to find it threw the CB. A sub forum to provide order and ease to all the Pokemon fans and even, for Gaia itself.

So many people look around and see the sub forums for things like Twilight, Jersey Shore, and any many other random 'currently popular' things. Well, Pokemon has been around for years. In fact the game first released in the states on September 30th 1998 and its still alive and kicking with new games, movies, and television episodes being released with in the year to come.

Currently there are:
55+ Games out for Pokemon
13 TV Season, And growing
15 Movies, So far
9 Comic Series (released in February 27th 1996)
And a TCG game that is always growing with expansion packs.

Soon there will be the new Black and White games coming out with in the next year. The CB and the VGD will be swamped with even more Pokemon related threads about the new games. Currently if you open up the VGD you will see at least 6 pokemon threads at any given time-At some stages it over takes the front page even. With a sub forum there could be a place for all of the questions people have, Leagues people frequent, or just threads pertaining to a current popular Pokemon game. Right now many of these question/tourney threads are being kicked around the CB and tumbling in to the back pages. This makes for recreated threads and only creates a larger mess in the CB/VGD. With a sub forum there would be less 'Misplaced Threads' Making less work for Moderators.

Pokemon can be found in Gaia Items as it someone kindly pointed out:

It's even prevalent in some of the items on Gaia. Mewpit was the first Gashamon to appear on the site (probably a parody to Pokemon due to Mewpit's description). The Golden Chuuchilla is a pretty close parody companion to Pikachu. Submarine capsule anyone?

In a way, Pokemon has even effected our cultures. There is a Pokeman Plane- a Pikachu Car!

The sub forum is full of people who have little to say in their threads. At least a pokemon Sub Forum will have active threads. Examples of some are the HG/SS thread, Rainbow League thread, Pokemon Center thread, GNPL, The list goes on for a while.
