So I haven't posted here yet because I've been very neutral & quiet about things...until recently.
I can't afford any GC because I don't have a job, so I haven't bought any in years. I've been surviving off of stuff I get from zOMG, DD, and people quitting Gaia. I've been doing alright. Until I tried to sell something for a R&B Devil Tail last week. I was excited when said expensive item sold. I could finally get that Devil Tail...until I saw it had doubled in price in about
half a day since I last looked at it.
That was my breaking point, since I have always wanted a decent Devil Tail (not counting this red block I'm wearing...). If an oldbie like me can't afford the pretty pixels, I would certainly hate to be joining the site now. I would turn and leave in a hurry.
Speaking of sites, I don't even think most of this is for Tentacl anymore. I joined Tentacl when it was just getting started. It was a enormous, laggy mess. I went back a bit later. Not much was fixed. Still laggy and boring. The one good thing was that I got Oni, a username I always wanted here. That was the only thing. No, what's going now is pure, raw greed (with a dash of desperation...)
The only reasons I still come to Gaia is for the
MPT (which all the regs over there hope it completes before the site crashes and burns), the few friends I have left, Dumpster Dive, and zOMG.
There is literally no other reasons for me to come here anymore. The Arenas are a joke. Journals are so badly broken and dated. The storyline is in incomplete tatters. Nearly the entire beloved staff of old is gone.
More and more often I see hostile, uncaring Gaians (It's especially bad in my beloved Chatterbox, where people used to be random for fun and there were bump pages and quizzes and Tektek contests...yea not anymore ; ^; )
This is not the Gaia I signed up for in 2006. This is not the Gaia that ran the awesome Halloween and Christmas events. This is not Gaia anymore. This is a ship heading for the rocks.
So, I too will join this revolution! While I will hang onto my items I have left, when I do get a job the money will not go into Grubby Gaia hands. It will go to a charity or to (GASP!) another avatar site.
