Exactly. Worst part is... honestly if they had scrapped this GCS and went with the Real Items shop.... I would buy so much. I would willingly give Gaia every cent i could so i could own my items "for real".

From what I've heard, Gaia removed its real-life merchandise shop because it was a complete failure and cost them way more than they had earned from it. However, I've been seeing a lot of people lately saying the same thing as you. I wonder if there's already a petition to Gaia to bring it back? I think it's a great idea, personally. I'd much rather spend my money on something I can physically hold than pixels I can only use on one website.

Problem was at the time the shop was open i was in High School and had no way of buying things! If only the Gaia Cash cards were used for the Real Items shop.

THINK OF ALL THE MONEY YOU WOULD BE MAKING GAIA...and all the joy you would bring to your users.

I first got on Gaia in 2009, and used it religiously up until... two years ago? That's when I took my first hiatus.

After coming back for a while, a year ago I took another one, and I've only recently started getting on a few days a week.

Honestly? I'm not a huge fan of how Gaia has changed. I feel like everything I used to think was fantastic about the site has been reduced to some cheap tropes and money-making tactics.

Don't even get me started on the s**t the cash shop has been turning out. :T

I just wish it was still driven by artistic/innovative passion and a sense of community, like it was before.

Now it's just sorta bleh.

I first joined in the good ol' Sushi error days- about 2003, 2004. I honestly just miss being LOVED AND LISTENED TOO.

******** the economy, ******** the recent changes, what I want to have back is being appreciated as a person, not a customer.

I miss being loved and cherished for my patronage. I miss Gaia having actual NPC quests that you could do, and find, and. You know. Actually happened. I miss Gaia actually being really appreciative over people buying those $2.50 items, during that time where that was all they needed to support them.

I miss being treated like a human, where our words and protests were actually taken into consideration and listened to. When we were actually loved for being who we were, and where Gaia actually liked us for being people,

and not just walking wads of cash.

I have been on Gaia since 2004... and the amount of gold items being added have greatly decreased. It was rough getting gold back then, but now you have to buy a bundle or something to even get one good item. It makes me sad.

Interest Earning Bank Accounts
An interest earning bank would widen the gap between richer users and not-so-rich users, something we want to avoid. We encourage everyone to earn gold from active participation on Gaia, rather than this type of passive investment. Thus, this is a feature that will not be implemented because it will impact the community negatively.

I will say that this was 2009, but if you're gonna go back on your words Gaia staff, at least destroy the evidence first.
