The exchange uses the Average Price or Lowest Price to determine the value of items. It will be difficult to find someone willing to part with an item for lower, pre-Flynn prices when that kind of money won't buy them anything nice anymore.

the havoc certain parts of Flynn managed to do is incredible.

I came back in hope I'll get back into being chillaxed on gaia after longer hiatus just to find out that even if I would open up my art shop, there is no way to keep up my prices with inflation. It kills enjoyment for me. Before, big part of items I desired were obtainable trough some work, but now, Gaias management managed o destroy what once made this site very enjoyable and challenging without big frustrations.

Some people may think that the management owes us nothing since they are business, but without us, there is no gaia and no profit. Add block is on and won't go away until this issue is been addressed and until they take steps to fix this bs they brought upon community.

They have expressed multiple times that with their current system this is not possible. It would break their system to remove any accounts.

The other problem with the exchange is that it used to be a good place to sell items and get a decent price when you didnt feel like dealing with the MP.

Now though people low ball you all over the exchange cause they are all money grubby.

You guys are going to make inventory limits or forbid people holding on to an item for more than 3 months?
Most of these items I got from using gold and cash advertisements
Heck, I must have more than 150 items only from free events and advertisements
And if you are asking, no, I am not holding on to these items so that I can hope to get a profit someday... Its kinda hopeless now...

I remember being on here not long ago and everything in the cash shop didn't go over 999. Now things are as high as 5000 GC!

I used to monthly buy 5-10 dollars worth of Gaia Cash, and when Flynn's Booty came out I was a little concerned about what it's impact would be on the marketplace. I bought a couple anyway because I wanted to buy art for my OC. However, after re-releasing Flynn's Booty twice now, constant flash sales, and regularly producing $50+ items, I have decided I would no longer buy from the Cash Shop until this is all stopped. People are running around with billions, nothing in the marketplace is affordable if you haven't spend real-life money for millions, and there's no explanation or thought to it. What is all this sudden money for and is it worth killing their marketplace and making Gaia uninhabitable for those that can't spend money? Shameful and sad.

I've been on Gaia since '04 and haven't taken a single break. I've watched Gaia change so may times that it makes my head spin thinking about it and now... With Flynn's Booty and the Smash Box tournaments, Gaia has become increasingly greedy. Because of that, we have had to suffer with the outcome.

A lot of people can't afford to buy GC to buy items on here or to enter contests. I admit I'm one of them and it's making it difficult for me to really enjoy Gaia anymore. I've honestly only ever bought GC three times in the past 9 years and everything I bought with it, the prices then would be considered cheap to what they are now. And because of the increased prices, people are having to do twice as much effort to get the items they want or to complete a long-standing quest.

It almost makes questing seem pointless but if those 9 years don't mean anything, then I wouldn't know for certain that Gaians are some very persistent (in a good way mind you) people and they won't stop until they have achieved the goal they have set for themselves. And I believe that's one reason I stay on Gaia...

It's to watch how amazing Gaians are, how generous, persistent in what they want, how they can change someone's day with a single comment.

While everyone is in the mood to listen to suggestions I have one long standing grievance with gaia.

The US only exclusivity of quite a few of their events , Weather or not they like it Gaia is an international community with members from virtually every corner of the world contributing their opinions and artistic talent to make Gaia a fun place and it is not fair that the international members of the community miss out on a lot of the special events and offers.

This is just the latest act in a drama that has been going on for ages

Gaia is going somewhere where none of us, the old members, want to see it going.

I've been here for five or six years. Gaia was great, I feel like this is one of the only places I feel at home, the only place where I have people who care about me.. but at this point, I'm not sure I want to be a gaian anymore.

I've never bought GC, I never will. I find it stupid that people are buying something that they can't see, touch, or feel. Gaia cash is stupid, and what do you get in return for buying it? Pixels. There is nothing that you're really buying, it's as stupid as buying Gamertags.

This stupid stuff, the club verge members who see no problem with what's happening should just stop reading now, all these flash sales and flynn's booty and all of this.. gaia why are you doing this? I used to love this site and everything that's on it, but now I'm getting left behind and thrown out of the "majority". I've been a loyal members for years and yet I'm not as good as the club verge members because I haven't bought something I can't see? The ******** gaia?

Gaia's going down a dark dark path, and soon it's going to run in to a little rope nose and hang itself.

Uncle Kenny even said in answer to a question about the gold sink event being something to combat the inflation "no this was created just due to user demand" or something along those lines. So basically...no it isn't to help inflation but to shut us up. Excellent. Sounds as if they really give a flying s**t about the economy being so bad XD Christ man.

It;s just sad. Most of the answers they gave were a zillion repeats of s**t we have all heard before, or of nothing of importance but just random bullshit. We are never going to be heard by them if they continue to just ignore us. It's terribly sad.

the vendors contributing to this inflation aren't any better. I pm'ed one who's store actually said to PM them about prices if you wanted to lower them. I wasn't sweet about my pm, and it just said "this item is definitely inflated, so that's why I'm going to offer you 20 million." But the reply I got was them telling me not to be rude and to screw off. I don't feel like that was a warranted response.

I will not be used in my own home.
